Honda Amaze V CVT Diesel Long Term Review
Finally after back to back manual compact SUVs, I got my first automatic sedan and what a sedan it is. The Honda Amaze diesel CVT made it to my garage and I was ecstatic for more reasons than one.
You see, when Honda launched the new Amaze it came with a very unique combination of the tried and tested 1.5-litre diesel engine and a CVT gearbox which was a first in this and many other segments.
While the looks of the car got polarized opinions, I personally like it and would just like to see it with wider tyres and more dynamic looking alloy wheels. The chopped front takes a little while getting used to but grows on you over time.
On the inside, you are greeted by acres of space and a nicely laid out dashboard. The only problem is the light coloured upholstery is extremely prone to getting dirty. Driving position is very comfy and the view of the road is fantastic.
Like I have mentioned in my previous reports, my commutes are very long so the Amaze should be piling on a lot of km and I can’t wait to do it. The 1.5-litre diesel engine has already proved to be a very efficient motor and along with the CVT gearbox, it should be a breeze to take on city congestion. More on the car soon.
