      Exterior

      very good exterior, best shaped car till date. Breath taking geaomatrical edges. Ground clearance is enough. car doesnt bottom out easily.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

       rear space needs improvement but ultimately its a family car so not a big deal for kids. Interiors with duel tone is very good. ever refreshing. very good air conditioning. nicely designed AC ducts with crome boarder.  

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

       Robast engine performance, very good power abouve 3rd gear, along with excellent fuel economy. very good gear box. nice little gear nob. 

      Ride Quality & Handling

       very good handling and ride quality. On highways road grip is excellent.

      Final Words

       Its a balanced car . with german engineering offerering everything of A class quality which is not seen by nacked eyes. Less goddies, but at this price its worth. 

      Areas of improvement  

       engine power needs improvement. may be 4 cylinder engine would do. but again current permormance is balanced and good enough.

      Exterior Amazing style, The more you look at the car more impressed you are. Fit and Finish is Amazing, thud sound that you can hear when you close the door talks volumes about the build.

       

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Steering, Gear shift, Dash board  and door Handles are amazing to feel when you are sitting inside the car, Its very elegant. Rear comfort that bothers me a bit other than this everything else outscores every car in the segment.

       

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Gearbox is very well mated, gearshifts are slick and precise, I keep moving back and forth to enjoy the feel. you can always use one gear up. In most cases in the city, I use 3rd gear.. Engine is very responsive, beyond 140km/hr you will find wanting for power. but that isn't a concern by any means. Fuel economy is very good on highways and sufficient in the city.

       

      Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is very nice, suspension is very well tuned to suit Indian roads, It absorbs small path holes easily and rolling is completely absent even at high speeds. Steering inspires confidence in the corners, it glides through corners with minimal effort.

       

      Final Words Being from Mechanical Engg background, It was my dream to own a German Car. I am very happy with the car, and If it falls in your budget you should own one.

       

      Areas of improvement Dealership experience was not worth a mention, I guess lot of effort has to be put by VW to make it a worth while and After sales service is a unknown territory yet.

       

      Contemproary styling, Quality Interiors, Best in class Gearshift...Rear space, Few goodies missing, Buying exprience was not so Good

      Exterior The shape, and quality is very good. not like those ugly shape of BEAT, ALL MARUTHI VERSION EXCEPT ZEN, AND EXTEEM, FIGO FRONT SHAPE. AND THE UGLIEST NISSON MICRO. THIS IS MY PERSONAL OPINION.

       

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) ALL GERMEN ARE LITTLE BIT STINGY , SO, THE SPACE IS A LIITLE SHORT IN POLO. GETTING IN AND OUT IS LITTLE TOUGH.Ride Quality & Handling qulility is very good. The proven qulility of VOLKSWAGEN CARS ARE HISTORY.

       

      Final Words I was waiting for this car for sometime, when they announce it opening I booked it in november2010 and I got it in 18th February 2011.  I got volkswagen comportline petrol


      Areas of improvement only the hight and some fecilities. There is a vast differnce between comport ling and  high line. THE COMPANY SHOULD NOT DEPRIVE OF CERTAIN FECILITIES TO INDIAN CUSTOMERS AS THEY PROVIDED TO EUROPIAN CUSTOMERS. I HOPE IN FUTURE THEY WILL RECTIFY THE DIFFERNCES. -GOOD WISHES TO THE VOLKSWAGEN COMPANY IN INDIA.

      Just got my POLO(Highline) 2 days back n im already in love with the car. There r many new cars in the offering like Punto, i20, Micra, Swift, BUT none compared to POLO.

       

      Exterior Exterior is solidly built, gr8 curves, nice styling, sleek built n has a very good grip on the road, tyres r as broad as any high-end sedan.

       

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors r superb, very gud built quality n gr8 finish on details, comfartable, riding position is excellent, very neat n elegant.

       

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is very gud, gearbox is totally smooth shifting, fuel economy is gud, the feel of driving a POLO is lik that of a sportscar(n im talking about the diesel variant).

       

      Ride Quality & Handling I have very few words to describe the ride quality n handling as it is par excellence. AWESOME EXCELLENT.

       

      Final Words I was for the past 3 months deciding on which car to buy. First i took a test ride of i20 then of Punto - both these cars r gud infact punto has a great engine in hatch wen it comes to Intial Pickup(be it 90hp or the other variants), but still u feel like ur sitting in TAXI or INDICA inside a Punto, POLO IS THE BEST OPTION FOR DIESEL CARS FROM THE TRENDLINE VARIANT TILL HIGHLINE VARIANT. UNMATCHABLE. AND I'D LIKE TO ADD THAT ALL THOSE WHO TALK THAT ITS NOT A GOOD CAR R TOTALLY WRONG. The intial pickup(that is the 1st gear startup is a little less but once u get going even in 4th n 5th gear it reaches from 40 till 100 in matter of secs.) I guess most people dont know what a SPORTSCAR is n thts y they cannot drive it. POLO is for people who lv cruise in UNMATCHABLE style n comfort.

       

      Areas of improvement NONE. I'd only like to ADD that GO FOR POLO.

      VW Polo 1.2 Diesel Highline feels good while driving, but there is some amount of lag. i20 feels heaven and offers awesome pickup. Driver comfort and boot space is absolute nirvana in Polo as compared to i20 and it seems VW has given all of its thought on only driver comfort & boot space, and forgot/deliberated/missed to include essential features like a good 2-Din music system (with Aux & USB port), climate control in A/C, steering mounted controls, door lock system / central locking system / driver controlled child lock system, driver controlled front & rear power windows, good headlights, enough space for the rear seat passengers, and so on for the on road pricing offered by Polo which is priced as much as a topend i20 (loaded with awesome features and mind blowing looks). When you ask Polo reps a justification for the missing features, all they end up saying is that this is an executive car and hence does not include these fancy features. I was under the impression that the elite pay for value added features than otherwise, but VW reps changed my perception forever :)

      But as u know Germans are high-headed and hate it when they loose. Apologies if I sound a racist, but that is not my intention neither am I that type of person. I think waiting for the new gen Swift to launch would make more sense becoz after thats launched VW would have to put together the loose ends on Polo to be competitive for the elitist price tag of the car :)

      Clearly VW has to get their acts together and realize that Indian are not fools to purchase whatever is thrown at them. If u want to cater to the elite, u shud let ur prospective customers see so and not virtualize the concept of elitism :)

      Exterior It must be said that by far its the best looking car in its class and category; makes it stand out in the crowd. The low stance and sharp looks exude confidence and gives the car a sporty look.. The various cuts curves on the body gives the car superb aerodynamics.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The seats are very comfortable and the driving position is very relaxed. I have driven the car for 650 KMS in a single day - from Dehli to McLeodganj, and did not feel drained of energy. The car has got amazing suspension and glides on bad roads. The steering gives you a good feel of the road and pushes you to go on and on and on. The built of the car is very strong and gives you a sense of security and protection from the elements outside. The built quality is very well showcased the thud, you get while closing the doors - unlike the hollow sound in other cars. The seats are cozy and ergonomically designed, I hope its the only hatchback wherein the seats provide cushion to complete under-thighs, till the knees.

      Great Handling, Superb Styling, Amazing comfortFuel Economy, Expensive Spares - I lost a wheel cap and was made to pay Rs.1650/- for a single unit

      Exterior Classy looks, excellent paintwork.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good space for a hatch, comfy seats, adjustable driving position, high quality interior equipment and upholstery.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I have driven around 7000 kms including highways, expressways, ghat roads, metro cities and small towns and find engine performance more than sufficient for maintaining maximum safe speeds on Indian roads, touched 135 kmph on the expressway (could push her more), overall mileage 13/16 kmpl in city/highway with aircon, super smooth gears, downshift may be required for a quick overtaking of long vehicles.

      Ride Quality & Handling Good ride quality with correct tyre pressure, smooth handling; though steering grip feels a little hard, near rear visibility not good; so be cautious whilst reversing or get parking assist gadgets.

      Final Words A new benchmark in hatchbacks, surely a value for money car of superior engineering and quality. Remember you cant get features like in an Audi for the price you paid.

      Areas of improvement Spare wheel should also be 15" alloy, electrically adjustable side view mirrors, leather wrapped steering wheel, audio controls on steering wheel, side rubbing strakes, flatter rear floor.

      Fuel economy - 13/16 kmpl in city/highway, 280 ltr boot space, smooth gears, good ride qualitySteering wheel should be leather wrapped and with audio controls

      Exterior Good Hatch back look better than in this other car segment.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Standard european interiror with smart interior look with user prefers which is most necessary, Warning in yellow and alarm in red indicators like fuel level,heater etc its good for user for standard symbols.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I driven few thousand kilometer, I felt smooth engine performance with less noice, good mileage and smooth gear change over.

      Ride Quality & Handling Good but be carefull while driving in speed breakers. better to reduce the speed.

      Final Words I like polo because it gives me confident while driving without any stop reach the final destination.

      People feel they need additional  feebies like mat,mudflap etc during purchase of new car most other dealer used to provide. Dont think of small things which you don't get it. Always think about the engine performance(Geraman Engineering design),driving comfort and quality of the car then you go for voltswagon.

      Areas of improvement Rear seat arrangement.

      Exterior Amazing design/ low stance provides better grip/ shoulders are broad providing better stability at corners/ Built quality is just perfect.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Features are limited. Material used is best in the class/ everything is strong and neatly placed. Space for front passangers is great/ limited leg room for rear passangers/ Ride quality is amazing.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Performace is good. You got to ride it to experience it. Good Pickup. and mature engine.

      Ride Quality & Handling Handling is great best in class. Ride quality is like sedan car. Just amazing. Got to drive it to experience it.

      Final Words I will just say that the Volkswagen Polo is built on Volkswagen PQ25 platform. THis is the same platform which is shared with Audi A1. Amazing chassis which results into dynamic driving experience. This vehical is built to last for decades together.

      Areas of improvement I will say that the price range at which this vehicle is positioned in India- YOU CAN NOT ASK FOR MORE.

      - Excellent Chassis- Amazing Ride Quality - Strong Built- Rear leg room space is limited -Rear windscreen is of no use

      Exterior Fantastic no doubt which pulls me for repeated test drive.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Excellent, but car is made for 2 adults and 2 kids Car for back seat.under thigh support for back seat is not generious.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox 75bhp is good, no lag due to AC full on-off, linear pick-up along with engine noise.Enginer at starting gives a jurk, noise and then become silent and again starts rorring with RPM increasing in riding.

      Ride Quality & Handling Excellent than any one available in India.

      Final Words Great outlook, interior excellent but may land up in deal breaker because of Engine noise, back pessanger space.if going for 3 year replacement of car it's ok to go ahead else we may need to look else.FE with easy riding is 11-12km/l, with my kind of driving on aggerisive it gives 8-9 km/lt as feedback from collegues owned.

      Areas of improvement Engine noise, back pessanger space, cental locking, driver power window not having all window control, boot provided too large makes back pessanger space constraints, back passenger center bulging hump, audio Bass not the best expected, no AUx,USB in Audio :(

      Cluch too high, city driving will not be good. No dead pedal.
