Exterior I love the exterior look and classy finish.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Dash board has good look.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine noice is very low, you would never know whether engine is on or off while you are in traffic. You have to check the RPM meter to check. engine performance is really good at express ways and high ways and even gives you good mileage, i am getting 17.5 with AC on an average of 70 -80 KM speed.
Ride Quality & Handling Quality of drive in highway is extremely good.
Final Words CAR is GOOD but Service is POOR, Customer car does not bother you but they will show you like they are the one taking care of you. After sale service is another poor area, when I went for accessories addition, I had bad experience.
Areas of improvement One one only After Sale service, please do not go this brand if you are looking for customer friendly or looking for after sales service like simple car wash, additional accessories purchasse/ fitting, knowledge updtate etc.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Horrible quality of AC vents. All are broken in less than two years. I complained on the website and they just conveniently directed me to the dealer. the quality is very bad of the fittings. The car is expensive and if you want to be successful in India or for that matter anywhere in the world. You better give quality and if there is a problem. solve it. I was called and expected to pay for the vents. How horrible is that. The fuwl efficiency is not very good.
Ride Quality & Handling Good and good ground clearance.
Final Words Because of this experience I may not buy any other product (i am plannng to buy a sedan and would have looked at the Vento...but after this terrible experience, never will buy/reommend a VW to anyone). Having said that, i still love the shape of thr car so have kept it.
Areas of improvement Please please take customers seriously. Just one more feedback, the first day I got my car, the fog lamps were not working so my experience has been bad since the day I got the car. Can you really change this perception? lets see if the company does this for me.

Exterior It is just beautiful. The entire shape is so nice, others are all about curves, and special design languages, but this car, IMHO, is just a timeless beauty. There are no panel gaps, no flaw on the entire body.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The music system has been upgraded and design is very nice. A reverse parking sensor has been added and display is on the music system screen. Simple and beautiful. No aux input is irksome as is the USB without an iOS support! The rest feel very classy, loved the feel. It feels like a rich place to be in.
There are good storage spaces on this car; the boot in fact has more usable space than my dZire though the volume is lesser. A Bluetooth kit supplied with the car and works very well.
The space however is good. I am almost six feet tall, and even with me driving, the rear seat passengers have decent space.
The front seats are very good without doubt with good lumbar and thigh support. The seats are slightly hard and it is just fantastic on slightly longer drives and also very good for people with slight/any type of back problems like me. The rear seats are slightly short on thigh support, but still good enough.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox If you keep an even throttle, then the engine is dead silent, highly tractable too – Excellent!! While accelerating, it almost feels like a sports car and above 2500 rpm also feels like one!!
Fuel economy: on short drives (less than 3-4 kms), about 11-12 kmpl. However, on longer drives (more than 7-8kms), I have managed to extract upwards of 15kmpl and even 18.3 on a drive of 28 kms. The last full tank to full tank was during my sister’s wedding, during which period, I was always driving in peak traffic with the aircon on, and the average I got was 14.26 kmpl.
The gearbox on this car is excellent, no false gears, ever. Just a word of caution, do as the owners’ manual says and only engage the reverse gear once the car is fully stopped.
Ride Quality & Handling The suspension is just amazing, no bumps felt at all. Drive reasonably and it feels a class above the other hatchback ride quality.
The chassis is very stiff and rigid, and this translates to good handling. The steering is quite direct too, and the straight ahead position is not vague. The unit weighs up at speed and is quite a joy to drive. The turning radius is also very good, just less than 4.9m. Body roll is also very well contained. I believe in accelerating just after the apex of a corner and also take corners at high speeds. This car really gives me a lot of confidence to do so, the grip of the tyres is also very good.
Final Words As I have mentioned before, I am in love with this car, and have a wonderful feel for it.This car deserves the high praise I am attributing to it.
Areas of improvement
1. Kindly add an aux support and iOS support to the music system.
2. Since this is a good car to use on the highway, an inbuilt GPS unit would be handy. I have one unit on the dZire (MapMyIndia – vx140) and it works really well.
3. Little more thigh support on the rear seats.
4. Electrically foldable OVRMs.
5. Cooled glove box.
6. Seatbelt warning.
7. Light in the boot.

Exterior I have a red color, which I feel is the best of all. It is the only car with professional look compared to other hatchbachs in less then 10 lakhs segment. It does not have a complete sloppy back as some models and with a decent finishing, it has a better look from front and rear. Green tinted glass serves the purpose to reduce heat.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Notable features- steering column adjustments which has both telescopic and height adjustment, Driver seat height adjustment, Remote keys, upholestry and plastic finishings are premium.
Space: - Good for 4. Manageable with 5. But if the driver is 6 feet then it is bit cramped for the rear seat person behind driver. Though the same can be managed to an extent with the steering column adjustment.
Comfort:- Very good. No turbo lag as mentioned in many forums. But can confirm it only after a long drive.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance and Fuel economy :- No Idea.
Gear Box - Difficult sometimes shifting from 1 to 2. But the SA said that it will be alright after 4 months.
Ride Quality & Handling HAndling is very good. But when driving in a tilted/slant road, get a feel that we are sitting in slanting position.

Final Words Being a German top leading car manufacturer Volkswagen POLO is carring a heritage of 38 years. Its an honour to have such car in India. I am a Automobile Engineer worked for a few automobile companies in Europian countrys. Before buying this car I compared I20,Swift,Figo,Fabia and punto and finally purchased the POLO.

Exterior Perfect look, perfect design, perfect from side, back side and front side. simply the best.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I love its interior, the quotity of plastic, leather and finishing is awesome. no match with any other top hatch. enough space for laguage, large seats are very comfortable, sometimes I drive more then 400 km in a day without any problem, its too comfortable.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Excellent engine performance, getting 20 milage in city and 22-23 on highway, and gearbox is so smooth and gear knob in polo is same like in vw passat.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Not having starting pickUP, want change 1st gear in speed-brakers, con't able move faster in city traffics. In city I geting 18kmpl, & Higways if i go 80kmph - 22kmpl, & Above 80kmph - 19kmpl. I drived 19000km in my car brake pad was failed and in car stearing was geting more viberation while appling brake.

Exterior: I love it every time I see it. Shape is best in class. I can compare it with Beetle or Esteem only.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort): Steering & seat position is such that I feel no fatigue even after a nonstop run of 150 km. (At times I have travelled from Mumbai to Pune nonstop.) Space is adequate for front as well as Rear seats. Boot is enough for a family of four. Fifth person is ok on rear seat for a short run.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox: Engine response at RPM below 2000 is a bit sluggish. Power band opens at 2700 RPM. Gear shifting is butter smooth. Till today, I have driven 5,800 km. There is no abnormality in engine sound. I normally get fuel economy of 15 KMPL in city- high way mix. But On Mumbai- Pune expressway, I got 24 KMPL. (I normally cruise at 100 km/hr.)
Ride Quality & Handling: I like driving fast. My Polo has touched 155 kmph. I think it should have gone to 170 but not more than that. In Mumbai- Pune express way ghat I take sharp turns at 70- 75 kmph; and touch 100- 110 on straight patches. In all situations, road grip is good; body roll is also nil.
Final Words: : In my Alto review I said “Can any authority suggest me a premium hatchback as reliable as Alto? (Its time to change car.)”- FINALLY I GOT ONE FROM VOLKSWAGEN.
Areas of improvement:
Door speaker position need to be changed.
Wipers can’t be taken out fully for cleaning, need a change in design.
Spare wheel to be arranged upside down so that valve is up.

Without doubt this car has great looks... looks like a car, not a jeep. Has a solid body as compared to other cars. Only one rear light switches 'ON' while reversing back, I think its a Volkswagen trademark style.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
Again interiors are also of very good quality, although they look simple. The dashboard, music system, all are quite sober as compared to other cars like Hyundai, Ford etc. Beige colour interiors look very nice. Music system lacks some very important USB/AUX port. But CD player and Radio are fine.
Space inside is OK. But visibility outside from driver's seat is very average. Was difficult to drive earlier on, but now it is ok, if very fine driving is not required. But this is expected as this car is 'car' like not jeep type.
Seats are comfortable. 5 persons can fit in, but 4 are comfortable.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
So far there are no complaints, although it is noisy as compared to other cars like Suzuki, Nissan. Although some people may feel engine noise as 'Sporty'
Economy 12-15 km/l.
Gearbox is very good. Very easy to change gears. Reverse gear is in 'front' of 1st gear and not after 5th as in other cars, another VW feature.

Very good. Although I have not driven many cars, but it is quite good.

The 2013/14 Model of Polo is Best equiped compared to all polo's from its launch in Indian Market with marginal price increase which does not matter if you consider the VW badge. The Black & Beige interior just adds elegance to the car and you wud not feel claustophobic while seating in Polo. Interior quality is the best amongst all hatches. It just feels so rock solid & Long lasting. The ''THUD'' sound from the doors give a assurance of the strong long lasting build quality of the car. VW has exceptionally given all small touches to the interiors.

Yes !!!! there is slight turbo lag till 1800 rpm BUT the engine so smooth that its super fun to drive the TDI mill 😄. Polo Diesel is best decision i have taken in terms of engine smoothness and overall driving experience. The fuel economy is 17-18 kmpl in city and 21-22 kmpl on highways with 100% a/c. Gearbox is slick and short, easy to hold and engage gears.

Nobody can beat Polo in the premium hatchback category as far as Ride Quality & Handling is concerned bcoz its the forte of Volkswagen cars. VW has interestingly increased the ground clearance of Polo which helps the car to glide easily without touching the humps on bad roads.
Final Words
I have driven around 1500kms til date and believe me there is always a smile on my face whwnever i have driven polo diesel. If you need mileage, build quality, steadiness, rock solid interior, superb driving experience with good ride quality and handling with a premium badge..this is the car !
