The Volkswagen group has kept me waiting for more than 5 months for my booked vehicle and are billing me Rs 2,26,564 as additional waiting charge! This is not a joke. That is the only common sense rationalization I have for my experience with Volkswagen. The dealer in Kerala has very poor business ethics. We received misleading information from them. It is purely a waste of time dealing with them. All I got from them is irresponsible attitude and failure in commitment. I launched a complaint with VW last week. I was asked to expect further communication. I am still expecting THAT Communication. I hope I don’t have to wait for another 5 months for their communication. I would recommend this vehicle and dealer only if you have an attorney and record all your communications with them; telephone or face to face. You should expect the change in the information they provide time to time.

Good Space. Well designed interiors. But the inner panels of all Doors are badly supported and "sound" loosely fitted.

Areas of improvement
Headlioghts are very weak their Power needs to be improved. Very difficult on highways during night driving. Audio System is below par, if compared to other cars in it's range. Service and Response to Service needs to brought up to at least some minimum acceptable Standard. The least Service Centre can do is listen to what we (as customers & actual users) have to say. These cars are not exactly cheap. I bought this car bcause I am aware of how good German Engineered Cars are !! I own another one so can compare the two cars, as an actual user. I dread to call or send the car to the Service Centre, since I am not sure of the level of Service.
Good interior Space.Weak Headlights. Below par sound system.

The car is extremely high on maintenence, its no way worth, i have been spending almost every 15k kms, on clutch plate and others. The dealership are more of blood suckers, they fool you all time to take money from you. Automark Auto Pvt. Ltd. from Vadodara is the worst among all. I have been driving all my life and now they say, becoz of my faulty driving I need to change my clutch plate and pressure plate every 10,000 kms as it burns.
Do not, Do not buy Volkswagon, its a waste pouring money in these thug dealerships like Automark from Landmark group which operates, I spent over 2 lack rs in 30,000 kms for getting my car fixed for clutch and pressure plate, The dealerships are worst, after sales is even worse, all in all a total waste of money. and hopeless experience in service and maintenence. Automark is the worst of all dealerships.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox During slow down (highway and local) engine wents off and highly risfy to life. Fuel economy and gear is good.

Final Word Dealership, customer care and toll free compliant call recording is never addressed. Dealrship customer satisfaction calls and records and wronglr recorded. (I've docs with me).
Escalation to Volkswagen Wolfsberg responds in 5-10 days and forwards to importer and action is never in place. Painful experience to witness that after buying 16 Lac of Car, there is no importance of customer complaints. Struggling for > 11 monts now and no action seen till date I am writing to you.
I asked to take back this car (no money taken back)...no replyfrom Vokswagen Wolfsberg office. Jetta is life risky on highway. No reply. Delarship test drive refused to acknowledge 'shut off problem' but off record agrees.
Areas of improvement Customer complaints must be given top priority with immediate action and treat India at poar with US and Europe.

Exterior Looks are too good,unlike the flashy cruze this car is a relief of elegance and sophistication, shark fin antenna adds an extra bit of international feel.two tone alloys on highline is too good. Reshaping and composition of headlights & tail lamps is great and DRL gives another tinge of international design.The car has followed the "Leaner Meaner Fitter" philosophy and will sell like hot cake.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The interiors do give a good feel and are now enhanced by the leatherette upholstry & wooden inserts.The centre console doesn't attract too much but yes it has elegance and then an improved audio system (as compared to 5th generation jetta) is there to take care of any every kind of media.The 12 way adjustable seat is a treat in this segment.Parking sensors and electrically foldable, adjustable, heated mirrors are there to handle the car in those places where you may wish your car had a been a little less gigantic.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The same 2.0TDI but with an increase in power and torque. this engine did well enough even with 110 ps and 250 NM,and now 140ps and 320 NM is mesmerizingly enjoyable. The car outperforms cruze for that matter despite of a little less power and torque.Fuel economy is marvellous for this segment.19.33kmpl is no at all bad.and with DSG it sweeps 16.96 kmpl for a litre of the precious fluid.gearbox is a treat for the people who love driving. It has larger gear ratios and the power delivery through it is so linear that you don't feel any jolt.While driving the highline (with DSG,triptronic and paddle shift to serve the master on drivers seat) you may wonder that the only thing left is a voice command gear shift :-).Every technology(gearbox) is there in this car.DSG shifts between the gears within 1/400th of a second which increases fuel economy and reduces jolts. two thumbs and toes up for this.
Ride Quality & Handling The car shows respect to every challenge on the road ie. hard cornering,bumps,body roll etc... Its the 139 mm ground clearance which may worry you but the suspension is tuned accordingly to compensate it but yes the low GC contributes to a higher level of stability on higher speeds like 220!(yes it reaches there) and the front spoiler(or splitter) helps in that too.But yes you need to have some driving skills to save your car's grounding while fiddling with the city potholes and mountain like speed breakers. Throw the car into hard corners and the car won't let you down, suspension is good,Throttle response is good.A little lively steering could do well.
Final Words Great car to drive, own, flaunt and enjoy feels a bit pricy when you are inside the cabin but the moment you unleash it the car makes you feel the adrenaline. Overall the car is good value for money.
Areas of improvement A sunroof and a dual zone cliamatic(like 5th generation) are the areas where the car left me craving. The front armrest is also no more adjustable.Lacks in ground Clearance.

Ride Quality & Handling I drove around 15000 km in one year, initially car did wonderful driving, however near 12000 km mileage their started noise in wheels, I got it checked from service centre of M/s Atrica Automobiles Pvt Ltd Noida, they replied and shifted this issue to tyres and fixed our responsibility that you may have driven this car with low tyre pressure and due to this tyres have got some issue. and their in no fault of Volkswagen.
I got stunned with this onus shifting response, it was hardly one year that I bought this car and this is my 8th car and it was hardly to convince myself that I dont know how to mantain tyre pressures or else. Finally I requested since according to them it was issue of tyres. kindly get it properly checked from goodyear. Till date no response. I am on duty to call them.
Final Words Volkswagen produces Good Car with cheapest service quality. Professional at time of sales. But worst service centres that too shared with renault in noida.
I understand it was my mistake that I bought car from self boasting arrogant company....they have no focus on after sales . no value for customer I would have preferred Toyota or elantra which is much better that Volkswagen.
Areas of improvement Learn from Honda, Maruti , Toyota. See the quality of service they provide.

Exterior To my eyes jetta styling is a pretty decent one, it blends a bit of audi a4. infact styling is a personal choice.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The trndline didnt offer much of a feature, but it carrys all necessary stuffs. i'm 6 foot 1 and i find the rear seet pretty comfy. usually i rather call a taxi than being in back seats. it did absorbed bumps and pot holes. corners were panted, the body roll has been reduced. but it like to take corners a bit wide.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox There is always power, no matter which gear you are in. push down the paddle and it feels like a giant hand pulling you out through any situation. fuel economy was nearby 17kmpl. 6 speed manual gearbox is definitely a superb choice from vw, no matter if you are in city or crusing down the highways always with least gearshift. it has got a good power band to each gear.
Ride Quality & Handling Was very impressed with the ride and handling. the steering was heavy at higher speed and it did had a lot of feel to it.
Final Words Definitely thumps up for jetta. its value for money.

Exterior Very good styling.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good quality interier, ac shold have been climatric this is a major draw back at this price and day time light sholud be led, Back seat only for two peolpe which is common on all EU cars.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Very good power, no tubo lag like cruze, manul model gives arround 14 to 15 overall millage which is quite good for a car with powerfull engine and 1.5T weight.
Ride Quality & Handling Solid german build, I am owning a hoda cityzx also, could feel the massive difference while driving both cars, specially on bad roads.Iamusing this car for past 9 months (8000km) and never felt any complaint about the car.
Final Words My final suggetion is to buy automatic instead of buying highline manual which i done a mistake. I am writting this review only beacuse some one written very bad about the car saying things which is ub beliveable for any cars, feels he belongs to some other manufactures executive or never driven this car.
Areas of improvement AC should be climatic and day time lights should be LED.

1. Car is not started for approx 5 times within in a year and giving it for service for the same complaint nothing is resolved. Last week my family went to trip and after 6 hours we try to start the car but not turned on station key not in control. We waited for 6 hours to start but not happened at last we called to toll free number and asked for assiantance they told they are sending the road side assianctance after 12 hours and I stayed back to handover key to them which is worst day in my life. My family suffered a lot on this. So I am praying all not to buy this worst car.
2. We ride this car for 30k kms and 2 tyres are burst and one alloy wheel is broken. This alloy is broken after drving aroound 3000 kms
