Exterior
Good lines and appeal, that attracts in first place from a distance, however, without chrome's I wonder what it would retain on this plus.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
totally disappointed on the interiors, I think the all cost cutting measures took place hear for a toyota quality
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Was groaning on test drive and dragging pick-up at higher gears. I guess the body was made first for higher capacity engine (1.5 L) and then changed to Indianized 1.2 L version to get duty cuts and make it cheaper or raise the mileage to cpmpete with Maruti Swift. There was no need to really offer the J- variant as it offers nothing comparable, not even a power steering.
Ride Quality & Handling
OK, I wonder what it would feel like without power steering in J- Variant as I tested the V-variant. There should be 15 inch alloy wheels option available on all models.
Final Words
Disappointing, for all the hype created of an India's first, world's first, Q class TOYOTA hatchback, Q is what missing inside.
Areas of improvement
Complete overhaul of interiors and tweaking the power to balance with decent mileage, even 16L may do, for common family man.
Design, space and fuel economySeating and interiors quality, no split rear seat, boot space
