Exterior Its a Nice car with smiley face and good in lookwith decent shape.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior is not at all bad. Even the quality of Etios is not bad in this range. I dont know why people are giving such a negative publicity about it.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Fuel economy is amazing, i am able to get 15 to 16kmpl on highways with A/C while traveling Bangalore to Udupi way of Hassan. I have driven 13000KM. I check FE every time and refilling the fuel tank to tank in Shall Petroel out lets. In the city limits FE is a bit less its around 12kmpl may be because most of the time I drive during peak hours. Gearbox transmission is very crisp, and accurate, its a pleasure to change the gears.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is very,very good, brakeing system really so nice because my personal experience while draving in city as well as in Highways. ABS works really well. Steering also very accurate.City raiding is very comfortable with grat pick up.
Final Words Its a fullfield family sedan and value for money. Major highlight of this car is the space, head room, legroom, rear seat leg room, boot everything is more than enough. once again telling realy it is a good family seden car in this price tag.
Areas of improvement I feel the quality of interior is acceptable, but Toyota can add some more colors to it and make it visibly appealing. Double wiper, Climate control and electrically adjustable ORVM will make it a complete sedan.

Hi,
I visited the MGF Toyota sec-14, Gurgaon service station on 6th Oct 12 with the complaint of a noise from the front shocker while driving over a steep speed breaker, whenever the front tyres passes over a steep breaker or some damaged road there is a sound comes from the front shocker as if the shockers are damaged, but to my surprise the service agent informed me that this is a fault with the Etios model & cannot be rectified. The person who took the test drive gave me the same reason & said that we will raise your concern & if company takes the responsiblity then they might provide a cushion on the front shockers to kill this noise from the shockers. Till date i have not received any update on my complaint from the service provider or the company itself. This is really sad & should be informed to all future buyers of Toyota Etios.

Exterior Pretty good exterior looks. Even though it cannot be called as the most beautifiul car, it is indeed good in looks when compared to the other cars in the segment. The Toyota smiling Front Grill is a pleasure to watch..Car looks best when viewed from the side..Also the tail lamps look very good even though the box shaped back cannot be called the best(but i have loved the back shape too)
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) 4 Door central locking as well as power windows is very good. Interior space is amazing and even a very tall person can sit comfortably in the back seats without legs touching the front seat(even when front seats are retracted maximum)..There is no central bump thing on the floor which makes the leg position of the middle passenger in back seat comfortable. Car doesn't come with a seat cover.So one has to opt for a seat cover as an accessory in order to have the seating comfort. Standard seat is OK, but cannot be called as too comfortable.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good Engine Performance so far.. Engine Sound is slightly higher which i believe could have toned down a bit more to make the car more attractive.. Fuel Economy can be really stated after 10,000kms is what the Toyota Service guys said..I have done ~3000kms and my average has been 18kmpl. Expecting it to go beyond 20kmpl, once i complete 10,000kms.. Gearbox is smooth and gear shift is hassle free. One has to get used to with the top notch position of the Reverse gear as this might be slightly confusing for people who have been used to cars with reverse gear on the extreme lower right position.
Ride Quality & Handling Excellent ride quality and handling..I have never felt that i have been driving a sedan in terms of size as it has always been very handy..Only thing to be taken into account is during parking and then the reverse sensor which i installed as an accessory is very useful..I had originally thought twice on whether to install the reverse sensor by paying Rs 4000/- but then decided to go with it and i think that it was a very wise decision as it has been very useful to me.
I felt that Ground Clearance is not upto the mark. As per records, GC is 170mm, but if you have 3 passengers on the back seat then you should be careful while going through a hump or you are likely to hit the ground.
Final Words A definitely VALUE FOR MONEY car.. Don't expect too much and never compare it with Toyota cars of higher segments especially about interior quality and all..But definitely a good choice in the 8 lakhs range
Areas of improvement Engine Sound could be filtered a little bit.. Ground Clerance could be improved.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Space is Awesome,Engine sound is Marvellous and you will not feel that you are driving a diesel machine.One of the best in its class.Dont go for interiors only just select the machine which will give you better service and without any expense

Final Words VFM and go for it without any second thought.You will feel a gr8 decesion of buying this superb machine.All delhites i would like to suggest you that dont ever buy this car from Grace Toyota as they all are sick persons and they dont know how to tackle customers.My dealership experience is worst.

Exterior The Etios definitely is not a great looking car. Its box type design solves the purpose though. However the dynamics incorporated in the design helps in getting it a better economy.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The quality of plastics used are not very good and the fit and finish of the dashboard are very tacky. However, the Etios has scores high in leg room, both front and rear and comfort. The seats are comfortable and the rear flat floor is a good idea, which helps in easy movement for the rear passengers. The cooled glove box is huge by standards and the 7 bottle holders are a great feature when travelling with a 'car-load' and for long distances. The AC is good and comes with a heater and clean air filter as well. However, a rear window defogger is missed and would have definitely been a good feature. The 595 litre boot is great for long distance travels with a group.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I am personally pretty satisfied with the diesel engine of the Etios. Though a little turbo lag is noticed when the AC is switched on, but turbo doesnt take very long to kick in either. Fuel economy is great. Gear shifts are smooth and drive quality is very comfortable. I drive my car to work everyday in heavy city traffic in Kolkata and frankly, I do not feel any fatigue at all.
Ride Quality & Handling Amazing ride quality and handling. The power steering response is very good and the turn circle radius of 4.9m seems great for a sedan. As mentioned earlier, drive is very comfortable and the engine really seems powerful, even in slow speeds. I have driven it on highways and have clocked 140 kmph without feeling any difference in the way the car behaves. As a matter of fact, once my co passenger was surprised to see the needle hover around 140 as otherwise she couldn't feel it at all. However, one big turn off is the beefed up suspension of the Etios. On pot holes and bumps, the suspension makes an unpleasant noise, though it is not felt that much inside, but the noise surely is very annoying. The ground clearance also could be raised by a bit, which I have learnt has been taken care of, in the newer models.
Final Words Great car in the mid market segment in terms of drive and comfort. Amazing fuel economy of almost 18 kmpl in city (with AC). Could improve on interiors and feautures in the base segment.
Areas of improvement Suspension and Interiors need improvement.

Exterior Looks ok for the practical people nothing luxurious. Modified Verito.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very bad driver seat.If you have back pain, please do not buy this car.You can think about Manza, Vista why our Indica even has far better seat. There is some problem with A/C. Everyone feels giddy and nausea after few hundred kilometers. The service center at Salem Tamilnadu has people who do not seem to have any experience in this car. They always say the car is excellent. I have Manza, which is a far better package as a whole.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Excellent Engine. My car's turbo is not working.Poor Mileage..14Km/L. on the highways. Gear box is so so.Nothing like Maruti Swift or Dezire.

Final Words I should have gone for rapid vento manza or SX4.slightly more expensive but better cars.

Exterior Look of this car is reasonably good.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Quite a spacious car. Five can seat comfortably. Boot space is huge.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is good but on two occassion Manufacturing defects were detected and the components were replaced by company though on one instance we suffered very much.
Ride Quality & Handling These are reasonably good Final Words. With lot of hope I got this V model of Toyota Etios but faced lot of problem. Besides the two manufacturing defects one more defect led us to suffer a lot.At 7000 kms the original battery failed and car stopped. Had to call their servicemen and they took the battery charged it and replaced after 3 days. Then again at 8000 kms battery failed and they suggested me to buy new battery .So they installed exide max battery and i had to spend several thousands on these. Then at 9000 kms this new battery also failed. This time the company servicemen found that the electric switch of boot space light is defective which often leads the boot light on without our knowledge. Hence he disconnected the light to avoid future battery problem. Thus this car kept giving me trouble. So i suggest my friend to avoid Etios

Actually it's a contradictory question, exterior liking depends on person to person. For me It's a good looking car with bold front and long boot which gives this car a complete sedan looks but you are going to miss curves on it at some angle it may look you like a boxy car. I would suggest it's looks to someone looking for a complete sedan experience. This car definately will be rated over indigo, dzire, manza and amaze in looks department.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
Interior is a big dissapointment in this car. Plastic quality though looks better than the previous etios but design is still the same. Toyota has tried to do somehing by changing speedometer colour to blue but frankly it doesnt gel with rest of the AC and Music system console. In dashboard looks dzire is clear winner over here.
But for space this car definately deserve more than 5. On passenger seat after pulling your seat comletely back also rear passenger legs gets enough room to sit comfortably. Front passenger and driver has enough of leg room and head room. On rear seat 5 passenger can accomodate easily without any crunch as in dzire, indigo, amaze etc. not so sure about manza as it looks it has better rear seat.
If you focus of driver comfort, i dont think any competitor can beat this car, you have steering adjustment seat height adjustment, electric power steering( which is very responsive). I have habit of driving with maximum pulling back of seat and leaning back maximum as possible with my hand stiff on the steering, i would like to mention one things here, Clutch is little hard which make me to sit little front. Otherwise you will be surprise to see that rear passenger never get a cruchy feeling while you driving and even on long run you wont get tired easily, though seat cusioning is not so good.
It lacks with many cosmetic features but I am used to it now.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Engine is well tuned and has zero turbo lag makes it much easily to drive in traffic, though it's bit noisy but less than previous version.
I am getting overall FE of 20Kmpl including city and highway drive. Gearbox is quite smooth, electric powersteering gives you feel of more control. Clutch is little hard compared to other cars in this segment. In this area again dzire is winning the race in driving comfort. I have taken a short test drive of all cars in this segment and based on that i am writing it.
Ride Quality & Handling
I personally judge ride quality and handling over a long trip. With Etios powerful AC, electric power steering, smooth gearbox, and adjustable steering and driver seat is a clear winner. Even Verna doesnt have electric power steering. This car is maily made for long drives only i felt after driving it. In one day you can drive upto 300km without any body exersion.
Suspension is superb, i felt in Amaze as i am driving a bullock cart for not the case with this car.
Etios can easily defeat any of the competitors in this area. My personal view though it completely depends how you adjust your posture while going for a long run.
Final Words
It's a good family car, which satisfy your needs and make you enthuastic about driving but as always i suggest everyone to take a test drive of every car before spending your hard earned money.
I am glad by Nandi Toyota, Hosur Road, Bangalore service. I have just paid Rs.68/- for my first servicing, it's true only Rs.68/-.

Interior for sure no second thought on this. If they can introduce little more curves on the body will be awesome. Have to reduce engine noice inside the cabin a little. Rest of the things are acceptable.

Exterior Toyoto Etios is the most attractive car in the price segment 6 - 7 lakhs (ex-showroom Kolkata).
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) It is the more spacious sedan in this price segment, compair to Maruti De-zire; much more comfortable than Maruti De-zire, Tata indigo e-cs.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I have driven 155 km. of Etios GSP of my friend and I am very much satisfied. Fuel economy of my friend's car is 14.5km/lt petrol in city driving which is very very good for any petrol sedan. Please mind it, Etios petrol is 1500 cc (approx) car while Maruti De-zire is 1200 cc. Gear shifting is very very smooth.
Final Words Toyoto Etios is the best car in this price segment. It is totally value for money I am going to book a Etios GSP very soon.
And I request Toyoto authorities not to open so much Dealer and Service center like maruti to make it a cheap car.

Exterior EXTERIORS ARE GOOD, LOOKS NICE CUTE CAR
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) SPACE IS GOOD ENOUGH, SEATS ARE COMFORTABLE, DUAL TONE INTERIOR LOOKS REALLY NICE WITH CHROME FINISH BUT THE CABIN NOISE IS THE PROBLEM, THIS IS NOT WHAT I EXPECT FROM A CAR WORTH Rs. 8,60,000/- , ALSO THE CAR COMES WITH ONLY FRONT SPEAKERS AND TWO TWITTERS, ATLEAST TOYOTA COULD HAVE GIVEN EMPTY SLOTS FOR SPEAKERS ON THE REAR DOORS, ONE MORE THING THAT I WOULD LIKE TO MENTION HERE IS THAT THE REAR PARKING SENSOR WHICH I GOT FITTED FROM THE SHOWROOM ITSELF ISNOT WORTH SPENDING MONEY, THOUGH IT WORKS VERY WELL BUT THE REAR VIEW MIRROR CUM DISPLAY VIBRATES AS HELL WHILE I AM DRIVING & I CANT SEE THE THINGS BEHIND CLEARLY, SOMETIMES EVEN AT THE SPEED OF 30 KMPH, I GOT IT FIXED SEVERAL TIMES BUT IN VAIN. THE CHROME ON THE AC VENTS GOT A DENT DUE TO MY MISTAKE AND TO MY SURPRISE IT HAS STARTED TO PEEL THANKS TO A VERY THIN LAYER OF CHROME PLATING, A BOOT OF 595 LITRES IS SIMPLY AWESOME.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox AS FAR ASFUEL ECONOMY IS CONCERNED, I AM GETTING AN AVERAGE FUEL ECONOMY OF AROUND 18KMS IN THE CITY, HAVENT DRIVEN ON HIGHWAY YET, GEARBOX IS QUITE SMOOTH, SO SHFTING GEARS IS NEVER A PROBLEM, STEERING AGAIN IS VERY SMOOTH, NOW COMING TO POINT OF ENGINE POWER, THE CAR IS GOOD TO DRIVE THOUGH THE TORQUE IS LITTLE BIT LESS THAN MY EXPECTATIONS BUT THE CAR PULLS VERY WELL, AN IMPORTANT THING TO NOTICE HERE IS THAT IT FEELS HEAVY TO DRIVE WHEN I SWITCH THE AIR CONDITIONER ON, AND SOMEHOW THE STEERING ALSO FEELS LITTLE BIT HEAVIER THAN USUAL, IT CAME OUT AS A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT TO ME, I SPENT 8.6 LACS ON A SEDAN WHICH FEELS HEAVIER TO DRIVE WHNE THE AIR CONDITIONER IS TURNED ON. THE CLUTCH OF THE CAR IS ALSO HARD COMPARED BEING MANUAL AS TOLD BY FRIEND WHO ALSO DRIVES AN ETIOS.
Ride Quality & Handling RIDE QUALITY IS GOOD, HANDLING IS NICE & SMOOTH, LOW TURNING RADIUS GROUND CLEARENCE IS FAIR ENOUGH.
