Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) First of all it has very very silent cabin. being diesel model noise level inside cabin is very very low and having music system on you do not know whether engine is running or not. this is the great achievement by Tata. Amasing music system added with 8 speakers lot of functions. Sun visors need to feel solid as they are to flimsy to hand. Tata should go for twin shell or EPP sunvisors. What i am missing is place to keep water bottle and mobile, two essential things for travel. Seats are good and support well. Overall best package inside. Display provide you with lot of information
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox So far driven only 900 Km in about 20 days so to early to comment on engine performance. Automatic Gear changing is good but sometime you feel lag while gear is being changed. I am getting 13 KM/Lit in City and more than 20 KM /Lit for long drive (I travelled to Mumbai) which is not at all bad.
Ride Quality & Handling I checked Honda City, Hyundai Accent, Maritu Ciaz, Honda Amaze and Tata Zest and I found Tata Zest best in this. suspensions clearly beat Honda city. Best performance of ABS and corner stability.
Final Words Fantastic package to buy if you are going for automatic varient. 4 lacs cheaper than Skoda rapid, 3 Lacs cheaper than Honda city, 2 lcas cheaper than Ciaz and cheaper than petrol automatic versions of Amaze & Axcent. So go for it without thinking.
Areas of improvement As mentioned above, should have sotrage space, light in boot (Boot is covered in black carpet and usually all city parkings are underground) so how can you see? I also miss air bags and Cruze control but that will add to lot of cost.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Well addressed. safety is one of the reasons to go for it and feels good. could have improved a little bit..(bottle hoalder). i am 6 feet tall and get a good leg room at rear sit.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Petrol- nice pick up, tend too feel turbo lag at low RPM but the moment it rises you feel it very responsive. nice feel to drive. fuel economy started with 8.. now on eco mode is 12-14 in city and highways 14-15 max at times touch low to 11. but still expect to rise. done with fist servicing. eco is bit sluggish but it ok not much of a concern for me. sports mode will make you go wroommm.
Ride Quality & Handling Good, very light and responsive. it feel in control.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I have driven around 2500 KMS, but the milege is just 14 in city and 15.5 in High Way. I am very Much worried. This is a very poor milege for a Disel Car.
I have driven arouns 1500 KMPL only on Highways. (Pondicherry, Yercaud, Yelagiri and Hogenakal). I saw some reviews saying that they get 17 in City and 20 -21 KMPL in Highway. So somebody please say if there is some fault in my vechicle in particular.
Milege Calculated by - Filled Tank, drove a certain KMS, Filled my Tank again and Divided the total KMS driven by No of Liters pourded to fill the tank again. And my average Kmps that shows in the Odometer also matches perfectly. Some body please advice.
Audio system by Harman is mind blowing, 8 speakers in built make it mind blowing.The AC is uniform and chilling within few minutes, controls on steering are easy to access.

Exterior Good styling and pleasing look. In rainy season lot of mud water splashing on to the sides and back, even above the dicky. There is defenitely some issues with mud guards/design.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very comfortable interiors. Well insulated from exterior noises. Superb cooling. Good seats and you feel relaxed.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Great engine. You can easily move ahead of any other cars, if you want to overtake them. Fuel efficiency is great too. I got more than 23 Km/litre on long trips with AC on all times. Ultra smooth gearshifts and fine acceleration on gear shifts. The indicators on the dashboard regarding gear shifting and fuel economy are a nice touch.
Ride Quality & Handling Very good. You dont really feel the rough roads. Very stable and good road grip. The power assisted steering is super smooth.
Final Words A Fantastic car. The addition of safety aspects like dual airbags, body strengthening, and other additions make it a premium car.
Areas of improvement Need to provide some space on doors to keep water bottles etc.

You will get surprised to see the car's appearence. Remove the tata badging in the car, you will feel the luxury. I was impressed with the looks of the car. Unlike Swift dezire which looks like an elongated version of the Swift, zest's design goes well with the features.
Styling wise it lived more than expectation. Many first in class features LED tail lamps, Projector Head lamps, DRLS.

When space is concerned, Consider Zest is the best in class. Its not a car its a CAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRR. Its a feature rich car with voice controls to control almost all electrical parts in the car like AAC, Music sustem, Security system. The speed controlling music system is the best in class.
Not to forget. the best music system by harman which was designed for ZEST.

I opted for a petrol engine which is silent compared to other cars. The Mice insulation makes the car so silent that i was not able to recoganize if the car was actually in on state or off state.
Fuel Economy is the thing that i was extremly happly about. I am getting around 18-19 kmpl . I Mostly drive my car in the eco mode with a decent AC temp(25 degrees).
Gear box is like you are piece of butter . I was surprised to see the gear was getting shifted smoothly without any hassle. They have always been known for their diesel engines. I will say try the Zest's Revotron , you will stop commenting on TATA's petrol engines. It is finely tuned Engine with great features like 3 engine modes in 1 engine . Changing the engine with the press of a button.
Ride Quality & Handling
Ride quality is where tata will be scoring a lot. Bumps on the roads were easily absorbed by the car making the ride great.I was easily able to zoom about in the corners without any worry. Thanks to its ABS 9th gen( First in class) with EBD and corner stability.
Final Words
After using it for almost 3k kms i am badging this car as the best car in the segment. It has been almost 6 minths since i purchased the car and now i will proudly say TATA cars are the market leaders.
Took this car in chennai from TAFE reach , pallikaranai. I should say that the service that they provided was great. Since this was a family car that i was purchasing , i was slightly hesitant to go with TATA as it is a taxi car( mostly known for its diesel engine). After taking a test drive, i changed my mindset about TATA.
There are claims that this car was designed partly in their overseas R&D centers. Lets see how it scores on the EU NCAP safety ratings.
Areas of improvement
Boot can be covered with a lining. The aditional safety rods are not that great to see.
Maps could be added as apart of the default fittings.

Exterior Looks good. The front grill needs a face-lift. Top end version should have auto folding side mirrors.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very good interior space. The top end version should come with built in GPS.This available in much less priced vehicles these days. The info screen should be a little more bigger.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I just had a long trip. Covered about 600 kms in one day. On Bengaluru-Mysuru highway, I got 23.8 kms pl. That's just wondeful. And overall for the entire trip I got 21.6kms pl. This was sometimes with bumper to bumper traffic and AC most of the time. I took delivery of the vehicle a month back and so far I covered 1200 kms.
Ride Quality & Handling The ride quality is very good. Handling is also very good. The engine runs smooth and gears engage without any fuss.Though my dealer had said that the car has 4+1 gear and found that it has 5+1 gear!
Final Words It's a very good product from the Tatas. Hope the co will improve on this further so that customers can taking a liking for Made in India Tata Cars.
Areas of improvement The co should provide more storage space inside the cabin. The dash board colour combination can be made more appealing. Built in GPS with a wider screen is a must.

Looks like Volks Wagen if u hide Tata Logo, Nice comfort, 4 person can accomadate in rear seat, nice driving experience, but poor millage..also i have facing some problem in AC...AC is not chilling fast in 35degree... they have taken my car for 5 days to solve this problem but it's a pure waste...Tata have to appoint good engineers in their work shop to solve the problem.. the current people don't know how AC works in this car... they fail to explain how AC works in Auto Mode...

Fuel economy very bad..in city ony 7-8 KMPL in bumper to bumper traffic, highway around 14.5 KMPL.. I have driven around 9000 KM this car..good comfort but u have to sacrifice millage..

Ride quality amazing.. good steering.. u can touch 140 KM without any hesitation in Highway.. but again u have to compromise with millage...Servicing this car is easy if you know any body in Service centre other wise nightmare !!

Good Car with poor millage...Tata have to work on millage and AC.. Also they have to appoint good service engineers in the work shop..otherwise no point in releasing in NEW Cars...This will become TATA-Try again Try again..!!!!!!!

I have been driving the car from Jan 2016 and covered around 400 KM, It is excellent cat made by Tata, and i would regard it as exception to the cars earlier made by Tata.
It has smooth acceleration,Cushion shock absorbers and good ground clearance, easily can go over any bumper like an SUV without worrying the driver.
The best part is the flat torque of the car which enables you to go over a bump in third or fourth gear without having to change gears too often.
Turbo charged engine kicks in too fast and u feel u need to tame the car 90HP around corners.Never will the car make u tired and long journeys are a bliss.
Got 21KM mileage under ECO Mode with A/c on. CITY mode gives u around 14-15 if you are driving as per the recommended gear shift indicator which is highlighted in the driver information console next to the speedometer. Sport mode will fetch you over 10-11 under same driving recommendations.
If for the first 1000-1500 KM if you follow the user manual and driving recommendations, the car is bound to give u amazing mileage, comfort and zippy pick up.
Other new features the car has:-
1. Post first morning kick start, need to wait for 30 sec for turbo charger to kick in, this enables the car to give u zippy pick up.
2. Raditor Fan turns on post u switch the car so that u can go on ur way and the car cools it up before its next ride.
3.A/C does not hamper car 's pick up, its independent in operation without reducing the car's pick up.
4.Voice commands help in operation of A/C, Radio/Media,Phone
5.Have Bluetooth Connectivity and Navigation enabled in top end version.

I bought my Tata Zest exactly one year back and have driven 10000 km both in the city and on long drives. I have to admit that I am completely satisfied with this car. The after sales service of Tata Motors has also improved significantly at least with Corcorde Motors in Mumbai. In one of the long drives I had an accident. Corcorde Motors helped me with the insurance claim and did a very satisfactory job of the repair.
The best part of Tata Zest is the spacious interior, which puts it well ahead of Swift Desire. The second best feature is the three modes of driving, eco, city and sport. For regular driving I always use the eco mode, but on busy highways the sports mode really comes handy.
On long drives I get 17 km/l. In the city of Mumbai with stop and go traffic I get between 9-10 km/l.
Overall I cannot think of a better car at this price.
