I am driving Indigo CS LS TDI , diesel for the last 3 years and this is the first time I am test driving a utility vehicle. The vehicle was Venture EX. The exterior looked attractive with dark shaded window glass. The vehicle has high ground clearance. Wheels are 14 inch in radius and wide and looks big for the car, wheel caps are standard. The car has two front doors , 1 sliding door only at the left side and one door at the back. The sliding door has child safety feature and can be locked when open. Side mirrors are big and wide. The windows from inside looks futuristic.
We were 3 people in the car. Interiors were really good and matches that of a good sedan. The doors are thick and the plasic is silver in color. In all the ambience is very good. One seat near the sliding door need be folded for entry for rear passengers and the folding of the seat is a neat one. The second row of seating is the best . There is extra space and one can even put luggage near the feet. The vehicle engine sits in between the seats of the driver and co-driver. The engine is encapsulated very beautifuly with high quality plastic and with great design. The encapsulation cuts off 98% of sound and 100% heat of the engine. The engine sounds like Fiat Quadrajet diesel engine and is less noisy. The very nice part is the A/C design. Apart from the regular position at the front there are multiple vents at the top on the roof of the middle row seats and back row seats. There the circulation of cold air to the back seats can be initiated/stopped by a switch at the driver's switch panel. The dash board is refined with two glove boxes, coin holder, switch panel and looks very sleek. The car has 7/8 seating option with bucket seats (no bench seating).
The engine is 1400 cc engine and provides 14km/lt mileage in city as per the dealer guys. The clutch is very soft and the gear shift handle is very well positioned and beautiful. The gear shift seemed to be little hard to me though. The 1st gear gear seem to be sluggish and the vehicle is not a high pickup vehicle. But in you reach higher speed slowly and then turbo charges in.
Vehicle manuevring is really good and power steering is very effective for such a long vehicle. For me driving the van is really fun as the sitting is high and at front but I felt like getting tossed up in deep potholes or road bumpers. The suspension is really good and I felt that while moving over road bumpers. I found later that suspension is based on springs on all the four wheels. Power window and car audio, body cloured bumpers is absent in EX model. AC is absent in CX model. The top model has all the features but ABS, Airbag, Alloywheel is absent I believe. All are EURO III compliant.
Safety: seatbelt, front steel structure chasis to counter impact.

Exterior I am the first person to have take the delivary of the tata venture. the performance of the engine is ok and the seating is good the interiors are better than the eeco. the power steeringand the front dash board is good. only the engine noise could have been dampned a little more. the heat from the engine to the drivers seat is absolutely nil. little cornering and handling performance is to be fine turned. i feel tatas should always before launching any new vehicle should get it fine tuned from lotus engineering from europe just as mahindras do.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors are a good try.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Eengine performance and torque is adequate but when the ac is on the lack of power is noticable.
Ride Quality & Handling The suspension is vey good for a vehicle of this size since it is almost 4 mts in length.
Final Words Very good value for money but ABS and Airbag atleast for the front passengers would have made this a international vehicle.

Exterior Only the Exterior looks good, the wheel caps, the lighs and the body shape. NEXT FULL BODY ACE.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Accept the Driver & Co-Drivers Seat rest seating in this MPV is good.... A/C vents are perfect. How ever the way the images are shown on the web-site with the glass holder or magazine/book holder all this is not available even in the top model. The Driver seat and Co-drivers seat is not having any extra space from the door, it feels as if you are forced to get adjusted in that seat with great discomfort. the console makes you feelas if you are driving a BUS or a TATA TRUCK.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine though it is less noisy but I feel TATA was knowing that if they provided a heavy engine which is really needed for this MPV they would have not found any way to make it silent. Overall a brand new MPV which is kept for a Test Drive, obviously giving no reason for TATA or the SALES EXECUTIVE to say that its a DEMO car and thats why the GEAR SHIFTING is so tough. Put on the A/C and I bet you will never be satisfied driving this MPV upward on a slope. U will have to use the 1st GEAR even for 30 degree upward slope. Please try to drive it at 20 KMPH, A/C - ON, starting point a 30 degree upward slope.
Ride Quality & Handling Power Steering is good, suspension very good, handling is TOUGH only because of the gear worst gear box.
Final Words It is a heavy MPV on a silly POOR ENGINE. It atleast needs a 1.6+ engine to handle every thing as per Indian road conditions.
Areas of improvement Powerful Engine, Good gear-box, Driver and Co-Driver seat to be more comfortable. Should have some more space between the seat and the doors.

Exterior It looks boxy. Very absic design, but it helpd in keeping initial prices to maintenance costs low, at the same time providing huge space in the cabin.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The most spacious vehicle that you can expect, at the price. Compared to maurti EECO, its much ahead in safety. You can put a double bed, if the roomy cabin.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The tall boy vehicle cannot be expected to be a sprinter like Safari or Aria. All big vehicles have poor fuel mileage. Given the huge space and tuff built, 14-15 is excellent mileage.
Ride Quality & Handling The length is below 4 meters, making it easy to drive in congested cities. With heavy body, the vehicle has good road grip and handling, although it cannot be as sharp as Linea or Honda City. Much better than Maruti EECO to even Chevy Tavera.
Final Words Good affordabale, VFM vehicles for joint families to even Corporate who want really comfortabale journey.
Areas of improvement It should offer features like ABS, Airbags, modern gizmos...may be as an option in costlier models.

Exterior The glass effect is excellent and well proportioned to be classified as a small vehicle but is not small in real sense. Shares the front and engine with Super ace pick up and the advantage would be cheaper spares.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior dashboard plastics can be better looks like super ace was made before Venture or else dashboard plastics would have been better however they are reasonably good. The inner space and leg room is mind boggling. Dual A/C with A/C vents in last two rows wow. Effective A/C. Power steering Ha Ha Ha.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I get 14km to a liter of diesel. Gear shifting is easy and it slips into the slots nicely. Engine capacity is adequate. It is further possible to tweak the engine for better power 70ps at present. I did manage to touch a speed of 155 km/hr with 7 people and 7 bags. you have to use lower gears while climbing up slopes.
Ride Quality & Handling I have driven about 9000 km so far after purchasing faced no major problems. Pot holes not an issue because of its suspension. Vehicle is quite stable even at good speeds. Turning radius is short making it easy for manuvering in peak traffic.
Final Words What else you want for 5,00,000 lakhs.
Areas of improvement Note for Great TATA: Please look into inner plastics. A little more extra torque with 90ps power wow it would be awesome. Power increase possible by remapping does not cost a bomb. I would have done it on my vehicle if not for the warranty clause. If iam allowed the same warranty i dont mind tweaking and giving report on this. Iam sure it does not matter if slightly lower capacity quadrajet engine can give 90 ps then this can also give the same output without any problems.
Excellent exterior, very cleverly packed under 4 metre to be classified as a small vehicle,good A/CI like everything about this vehicle,Maybe the inner plastics can be better.इक्सटीरियर/स्टाइल्स

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) are gr8 comfort is gud leg room for 2nd row is very large for 3rd row is well!!trunk is some cramped TATA can decrease the leg room for 2nd row and increase the trunk capasity IT has buccket seats no bench seating like ecco has or omni

Ride Quality & Handling handling isgr8 like a campact hatch back, power stering is extra luxzuery function but it is necessary for this size.
Final Words It is better than winger but less powered AFTER ALL it is cheaper than winger so, it is gr8 vehicle for middle class people who wants some comfort & can work without extra bhp and it is not a off road vehicle so,dont blame its power!!
Areas of improvement Powerful engine of 3.4 l must be fitted & abs and air bagsfor 1st 2nd rows must availavle in option if it has bonnet it can be a SUV.

I had purchase this car in Nov 11. as Manali is my first trip with my complete family members of 7 persons. the car run very smooth on plain roads, but it shows some low pickup when hills starts, even i was fearing wheather car will take us to our destination or not, but finally after driving of 300 kms hills drive i get used to that how to take my car on hills. except this rest off all the thinks is very well, like i take 17kms mileage, comfort driving .

Ride Quality & Handling Good view , high seating almost you are seated to the hieght of a low floor volvo bus. reverse packing is very easy and turning radius is amazing.
Final Words Its a good untility vehicle I transport everything on it , even at emergencies i am usung as an ambulence all the seat are foldable,
Areas of improvement Kindly put the spare tyre under the body so boot space will be more and front cabin make more space. front appearance is like super ace so high profile people will not opt for this Van make airbags, Change the position of A/c pipes from the front bumber .improve the head lambs.
