2nd Review on Ownership of Tata Tigor Revotorq XZ(O)

Hi,

This is my 2nd ownership review, and wanted to inform all Tata Tigor Revotorq owners, that a update is available for fuel filter for Diesel engines.

One month back, I got a call from my dealer stating there is update for the fuel filter, which will be replaced with a new one (modified, I can say). They estimated the work to be 1hrs. Accordingly, I went to the service centre with my car and within one hour the replacement was done and car handed over to me.

There is significant performance improvement, I could notice in the engine power after this change. In city mode, there is a good power surge from 2000-2500 RPM. The car now feels more peppy and fun to drive. I had done a 650Km higway drive and found highway performance is also improved a lot. I can easily cruize at 110Kmph and tried to cross 120-125 at rare occasions. Still it feels that engine has some power and willing to go further. No harsh sounds no lagging. I can compare the performance as 40% improvement after fuel filter change. I thought, TATA are doing some research and they have come up with this solution, which is doing wonders, on this already fantastic car (barring the engine performance).

The fuel efficiency also increased significantly. I got 23.6Kmpl on the DIS meter and 21Kmpl by the most trusted tank full to tank full method. In all I have filled 30 ltr diesel for this 650km highway drive.

I request every Tigor (Diesel) owner to approach their dealer and ask about Fuel Filter update. Also share your experience in Carwale forum for better awareness about this VFM car.
