INDIA' VOLKSWAGEN GTI

I was looking to get a car with my budget under 10 lakhs and one of my friend insisted me to take a test drive of Tiago JTP ( which he referred to as Indian Volkswagen GTI ) . So I must confess that I took a test drive with pretty high expectations. The exterior of the car is pretty good for it's budget , I wasn't expecting dual pipe exhausts and air vents on side and bonnets ,which really gives it a bit of sportier look when you add these with the well finished alloy wheels . Interior of the car is also good ,with all black dashboard and a touch of little red gives classic looks . Seat are comfortable ,but rear seat room is little less for my liking . Now on to the riding experience , Car is well balanced with a good straight line speed and even better corner experience . City ride experience is good but what actually stands out is the highway experience when you tune into sports mode . The turbocharged engine produce enough power and the sound from it also adds on to the sportier experience . But what really stands out is it's handling , which is out of charts when compared to any budget car that I have ever driven . The only thing which bothered me was the gearbox which caused bit of uneasiness in my city ride at low speeds ,but once on the open road it's slick smooth. So overall I m very happy with Tiago JTP and looking forward to get one in next festive season . It exceeded my expectations and for price tag of 7.5 lakhs ( on road , Jaipur ) I can't really ask for more .
