Have bought Tata's most precious metal Tiago XM Diesel 08 day's back from Sanya Motors a Tata Dealer from Aurangabad (MS), it was great hospitality from Sales team of the dealer as they have delivered my Dream car on my occasion which made me really Happy, the way General Manager Mr. Dudhekar has attended me and explained the feature of the car to me make me to buy Tiago, I was really confused because of my budget and want buy only Diesel car.
Have bought Tiago XM Diesel Espresso Brown @Rs. 5.46L on road in which I was looking to buy a diesel car. Have drove the car 1000 km and really happy to say its worth value to money product from Tata after grand success of Indica.
Looks and Style: It looks really great as people never forget to enquire about the car when I park, it catches the eyes of passersby, impressive in low budget. With stylish look it has a strong build quality also material used is of good quality though it's metal part, plastics, glass, colors which can be judge anyone. Have got 04 power Windows, AC with heater, power steering.
Engine: Performance wise New Revotorq 03 cylinder Engine is best in class and really above the mark on quoted figures which says 69 BHP of power and 140NM of Torq. Only concern is engine sound which is technically should be there as it's 03 cylinder engine but comparatively it's low as lot of efforts have been taken to reduce it, it's mounted on strong foundation.
There is no lag in power while driving in AC on, ample acceleration and torq while overtaking no knocking sound of gears, gearbox is very responsive except light play in shifting and little tall gear shifting lever, mileage is very impressive as has recorded the figures above 20km/L.
Steering makes feel good as it's maneuver and light turning radius is nice and needs low parking space, has good boot space comparatively it's nearest rivals. Suspension is according to Indian road condition and does not disappoint. Seating arrangement feels alike tall boy car which is easy to my height 5.9".
Overall I'm really impressed and has nothing to suggest Tata Motors to improve in this cost.
I also thankfully to Carwale mobile app on which I have compared nearest cars and got the information.
I suggest to buy this Fantastico and experience the Made in India Multinational Indian Brand.

Exterior The car looks very nice and clean from all angles. It's a contemporary design which will appeal for large sections of the public as well as can stay neutral for atleast a decade.Under the hood everything seems to be laid out well. The oil filter is easily accessible from top.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors were very impressive and as already indicated by many in this thread they look class above. A big jump for TATA.The fit and finish looks fantasticThe quality of plastics were very good and felt far better than even the BR-V which I happened to check just before this one.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Low end torque is low, but considering its segment and the fact that its a 3 cylinder engine, its decent enough. (Slight-Moderate) Vibrations can felt inside the cabin on gear lever and on clutch on low RPM's , but they wont bother you much as you go above 2k RPM. I am getting a fuel economy of around 18-19 kpl(mostly on highway), around 14-15 in city ,it will improve after 1st and 2nd service 'hopefully'.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality and handling is on par with most premium hatchback's. NO complaints here except for tyres , alloy wheels should be provided across all varients.
Final Words Go for TIAGO if you're budget is below 5lacs, it offers more than its competitors(celerio,k10,etc..) at significantly lower prices.
Areas of improvement Engine needs refinement, alloy wheels should be standard.
Sturdy and well placed , smooth steering , spacious with no cost cutting in build quality.Low end torque, alloy wheels should be made standard across all varientsइक्सटीरियर/स्टाइल्स

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox When its early stage of driving the milage was horrible. I just got 15km/ltr and i was depressed with it.After 2000Km it slightly changed to 16.5.
And now(4k) i am getting average 16.5 to18km city and long drive in eco mode i am getting 19 to 22.5. Total as an average 18.5km/ltr.
Yes there is slight noice but when you are getting a 1200cc engine with good power and milage you can neglige the sound. Gear Box,reverse gear not that much smooth.
Ride Quality & Handling Smooth steering.
Final Words If you are going for below 5lac budget. Take a test ride on tata tiago.
Dont compare it with I20 or baleno..etc. But you can comare it with Grand i10 eventhough huge price difference with it.
Space, power1200cc, features can beat any other 1000cc and 1200 cc models.
Its a low budget car with compitating features of high end models.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) All interior are good. space & comfort are very good.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I have petrol XM model which starts like disel and little bit noisy in driving tata engineers have to work on it people are saying it vibrate after 80 -90 but I have driven it upto 120 but there is no vibration. Shifting of gear and profermance is excellant. Suspension of the car is extra ordinary.
Ride Quality & Handling Handling of car is very good
Final Words There is no other car available in market in this price with such features. Value for the money and much better than kwid and celerio.
Areas of improvement Engine is nosy and it gives me 12-13 KM liter and company is saying 23 + you can not fixed water botles in fronts door. you can not fixed a double din audio system from market only 5 inch space available, door nobs takes you in the era of 1990s. Charger is not standard size. AC wings fixed with out shatter.

I purchased tiago xm Diesel in june 2016.
Here is a review on the basis of my 7000 kilometers of driving experience
Pros-
1- Nice Design with good boot space
2- Nice AC
3- Well designed seats for driver and co passenger and nice thigh support for long driver in rear seats.
4- Excellent fuel economy if you drive it like tiago. If you drive it like Ferrari, you will start cursing TATA.
5- Nice steering wheel
6- Nice to purchase a diesel if you want to be on highways at least 4 days in a week and at least 100 kilo meters a day.
7- A good ride for 4 people with not much luggage.
Cons-
1- Diesel model has engine sound/Knocking issue which comes as kat kat kat kat at lower rpms, specifically between 1000 to 1500 rpm.
2- If you lower any of the four windows you will get kit kit sound from all four windows, which is very scary while you are driving at 100kmph. you will suddenly think---woaah! what's broken just now.
3- Engine vibration is not that noticeable but due to that vibration you might get ghrrrrr, kkrrrrrrr noise inside your cabin....
4- You might listen to different kind of noise in your cabin which might vanish when you take your car to TASS.
5- You might feel that lights are not enough when you are driving on highways.
6- You cannot go for a double din music system as TATA has not given space for that, however some outer accessory guy can provide that. Beware of the wire cuts which will void your warranty.
7- There could have been a provision of dual horn system in XM but TATA has failed to provide that. And this can disappoint you on highways.

Exterior A good looking car with attractive head and tail lamp design Compared to equivalent cars like grand i10. Celeriac etc.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very spacious and good leg room on both forward and rear seats. Quite sufficient boot space.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Except for little sound while shifting gears and noice during reverse gear a good performance engine. I don't know about others but I am getting only 10 km/l milage. It is very bad. By now I have driven 600 km and I have spent Rs 4500- for petrol nearly 62 litres. as for as the reviews I never got 15-16 km in city. Let me explore some more possibilities and then conclude.
