This car is a median between your desired requirement and your budget.
Frankly speaking I went to Tata showroom not to buy a car but to see what exactly it is. By looking at all features and its look, I decide to buy this car in one day.
Normally we mostly worried about budget. It’s very much in our budget. Look, Handling, Comfort and important is safety. Most amazing features is it HARMAN MUSIC SYSTEM...you will get a feel of crisp and clear sound like our Home theatre system. It has two driving mode. City for better pickup and It’s really noticeable and second one is Eco mode which is greater than normal. Mileage is superb within city with AC is 16 km. & on Highways with AC it is 20 to 21 kmpL. Within city handling is superb.
You will think that it’s a small car having length of 3746 mm, but inside each mm is nicely utilized. Don't think that it’s a light weight car. U can compare its weight with newly launched Baleno of 3995 mm length. Tiago is 1012 kgs & baleno is 870. And that to kwid is 660 kgs now think which car has more Mettle.
See within this budget it's a best car in its Segment. If u want other brand with same features then u have to pay more than 6.5L as against 5.5L. I purchased in July 16.
Don’t think too much just Go for TiaGo. After reading this review you will think that I am great fan of Tata. But frankly speaking, earlier I was just hating Tata cars, but Tiago changed my view and thinking.

I purchased tiago xm Diesel in june 2016.
Here is a review on the basis of my 7000 kilometers of driving experience
Pros-
1- Nice Design with good boot space
2- Nice AC
3- Well designed seats for driver and co passenger and nice thigh support for long driver in rear seats.
4- Excellent fuel economy if you drive it like tiago. If you drive it like Ferrari, you will start cursing TATA.
5- Nice steering wheel
6- Nice to purchase a diesel if you want to be on highways at least 4 days in a week and at least 100 kilo meters a day.
7- A good ride for 4 people with not much luggage.
Cons-
1- Diesel model has engine sound/Knocking issue which comes as kat kat kat kat at lower rpms, specifically between 1000 to 1500 rpm.
2- If you lower any of the four windows you will get kit kit sound from all four windows, which is very scary while you are driving at 100kmph. you will suddenly think---woaah! what's broken just now.
3- Engine vibration is not that noticeable but due to that vibration you might get ghrrrrr, kkrrrrrrr noise inside your cabin....
4- You might listen to different kind of noise in your cabin which might vanish when you take your car to TASS.
5- You might feel that lights are not enough when you are driving on highways.
6- You cannot go for a double din music system as TATA has not given space for that, however some outer accessory guy can provide that. Beware of the wire cuts which will void your warranty.
7- There could have been a provision of dual horn system in XM but TATA has failed to provide that. And this can disappoint you on highways.

Final Words LOTS EXPECTATION WITH THIS VERSION, BEST LOOK, BEST COMFORT, BEST INTERIAR AND BEST SAFETY FEATURES IN CLASS, ENGINE POWER VERY GOOD. BUTTTTTTT AS EVERY INDIAN NEEDS, I BOUGHT FOR MILAGE OF 23KM ON HIGHWAY BUT ITS GOES UP TO 14KM AFTER USES OF 1270KM AND 90LTR PETROL USED SO FAR. HOPE AFTER FIRST SERVICE I WILL GET GOOD ONE.
Areas of improvement AS EVERY INDIAN NEEDS, I BOUGHT FOR MILAGE OF 23KM ON HIGHWAY BUT ITS GOES UP TO 14 AFTER USES OF 1270KM AND 90LTR PETROL USED SO FAR.
I FILLED 4 TIMES FULL TANK AND ALL THE TIME MY CABIN FILL WITH THE SMELL OF PETROL FROMY VERY FIRST FILLING. I VISITED SERVICE CENTRE THEY SAID THE REPAIRED THE PROBLEM. HOPE NEXT TIME WHENEVER I FILL THE TANK IT WILL NOT SMELL.

Exterior Over all very good as this is my first new car, I loved it.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Are good as sound system is very good, boot space is better than other cars in this segment.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox As per me as a new car owner i dints have any problem with engine performence as some are saying that it is too nosiy and gear vibrates when start but both are not happenign with me.
Ride Quality & Handling is very good, steering is most easy to me as i had drived other cars. I had drive it 4000 km till purchased on january 2017 and founf that it feels very comfortabel in haighways than city where my milage drops down till 14 from 18 with AC.
Final Words good budget car with better style, milage with 1200 cc power, sound system, cabin space.
Areas of improvement I am sad to know that I could not install an alarm system in this car if any one have any suggestion for the same please provide me.

I am a proud owner of Tata Tiago since Dec - 2016. Since then this car has crossed 5000+ km.
Interiors: Fabulous. This is a benchmark for all other car makers of this segment (entry/ mid hatch segment).
Exterior: Bang ON with its impact design and sturdiness.
Pros: Car Music System, Fuel Economy, Ride Quality
Cons: Car is very laggy in Eco mode.
I have purchased Tata Tiago as my first family car and I am loving it.
Overall my vehicle has crossed 5000+ Km last month where we had a really long tour (4700+) on this vehicle.
No signs of fatigue
Engine was as smooth as ever
Speed / Pickup on city mode - up to the mark ( as expected with 1.2 L non turbocharged petrol engine)
Ride Quality- Superb
Fuel economy- 19.2 Overall ( with AC in City Mode)
Safety features like ABS is good.
Stability on high speeds is very good as compared to other cars in its and two segments above.

Exterior A good looking car with attractive head and tail lamp design Compared to equivalent cars like grand i10. Celeriac etc.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very spacious and good leg room on both forward and rear seats. Quite sufficient boot space.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Except for little sound while shifting gears and noice during reverse gear a good performance engine. I don't know about others but I am getting only 10 km/l milage. It is very bad. By now I have driven 600 km and I have spent Rs 4500- for petrol nearly 62 litres. as for as the reviews I never got 15-16 km in city. Let me explore some more possibilities and then conclude.

Exterior I have purchased XE-O. This car looks very decent, and has proportionate styling and character.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good dash board quality, decent plastic quality, it has hight adjust seats, steering is tilt. boot space is decent, closing of the doors has proper thud, as compared to ford figo and maruti, it has airbags for both driver and co-driver. What else do you need!
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is very good, the cabin is silent and revs well beyond 4000 rpm, I have driven this car for 1500kms and the fuel economy is improving after the 1st service. Before 1st service avg was 10kmpl now it has improved to 12.5kmpl(with ac), on highway it gives 15kmpl(with ac).
It has two driving modes eco and city, Eco with ac will give you enough grunt while city is peppy! I drive moslty in crowed traffic of Banaglore with ac on and I am satisfied with the mileage.
Ride Quality & Handling Here I want to give 5 stars, steering is really good, and has very good feedback and weighs well at higher speeds. I have driven it on highways at 100kmph. No virbrations and planted ride.Steering wheel feels bit vague when you have ignitioned the car and then drive for about 3-4 mins you start geeting the nice feel and weight, probably due to hydraulics takes some time to come in action. Steering-wheel responds well to quick turns some time you need in navigating the traffic, Brakes are a bit lacking.
Final Words Awesome car with the best pricing beats every other brand in compariosn be it maruti or hyundai. Buy this one and you wont regret it!

Final Words If you are really consiouse about mileage don't buy it. you have other option in this price. i am riding this since 9 month. company claim mileage 23kpl in city mode and 27 kpl in ecomode.To be honest i even don't is give 17kpl in city mode and around 20 kpl in eco mode.i am felling like they have cheated me.
