I bought the Tata Safari Storm Explorer Edition from Wasan Motors, Chembur on Oct-2013
I was very excited when I took the vehicle delivery from the dealer I have ignored multiple issues at the time of delivery.
Premium Leather Seat received through the Explorer Edition upgrade was fitted ruined and glued to cover multiple patches but in the excitement I took the delivery later I have told the sales person about it, but he couldn’t do anything.
The 2 DIN touch screen system, received as per the explorer edition upgrade, will behave unexpectedly without any user input, like channel change, mode change, volume up/down, etc without touching it during the rainy season. Same here complained but no use.
The 2 DIN system will not connect to the pre-fitted hands-free, as the type is different They will make a hole in the glovebox to keep the USB cable output and the cable will be there in the glow-box as loosen.
The Front PU Nudge Guard is so light, mine got broken within few months… without any major crash.
Within 2 years, the Explorer Decals which received through the Explorer Edition upgrade, at the front bonnet got all spoiled, and changed the colour from white to red with dark dots and cuts all over... looks very dirty Nothing has been done, as there is no use of complaining.
Some of the Service centres are really useless they over charge you and some people will claim they have changed spare parts, which you may find later it is not really changed No one cross- check your vehicle fully in any of the service I mean breaks, gear, electric, etc... you can still expect a breakdown next day of the vehicle service I got it multiple times.
Overall I like the build quality and look, it is awesome SUV I dislike only because the irresponsible dealers and service centres.
