Not a Complete great SUV considering other options which are available

The Vehicle is quite attractive with its chrome front line and with the Land Rover Look. That apparent exterior sets quite a lot expectation from the TATA stable.

But moment you get into the vehicle its the same traditional interor and concept. Stuff like curved wood finished control pannel with chrome jog dial pannel which would actually not even cost 10K if manufactured or outsurced is not there.

So it cannot be matched with a Land Rover. Its as if a penalty in terms of import duty had to be paid if you think for all those features.

Even basic features like on steering audio control, climate control is missing from the top end model.

As usual the body quality is not so good which can sustain to the environment the vehicle is meant for, the body and door becomes noisy even on 4000 Km test drive!!!...

Engine is quite responsive and refined compared to its predicissors. Its even less noisy.

Gear Box and transmission is tacky and poor. Requires a serious relook from the engineering team. It can be a reason to its failure. Wanted to keep it short and crisp.

Am sure the TATA team would take a note and immediately relook on the serious concern as they lost atleast 1 sale today itself.

I drove a VX 4X2 version. I was confirmed that there are no such features even on 4X4 version of this SUV. If the above features were included this SUV would have done wonders with the look. It won't have required promotional costs.

This SUV with the same look. Refined transmission and heart, with the luxury features at economy could have been a turning point.

But it fails at least from me as per my taste. Cannot say much about customers who are not exposed to quality interiors or features.
