TATA NANO - Rs One Lac Car???

Exterior It is uber cool n stylish except front n rear plastics n grill which appear frivalous.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) There is no safe storage facility where one could leave behind small nick-nacks out of sight of prowlers. I forgot to remove my binoculars for a short while in Bangalore main road during day time & lo.. when i come back, the side glass was broken and binoculars was gone. I hope the co. appreciates that it is not always possible to remove everything when u park in public places & therefore minimum safe storage is very important...not to mention there is no conventional boot space. The common view that it is one lac car is not right coz' i spent 2.25 lac for bare car in B'lore with another 25k for minimal furnishings. Air blower is noisy n doesn't serve purpose. The music system / speakers fitted at dealership has failed twice.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox It is good without A/C but poor with ac on.

Ride Quality & Handling The handling is poor because there is no power steering despit being high end model. I am used to taking in n out of parking lot from my aptt complex without assistance using back view mirrors of my GETZ but find it difficult with Nano....extra mirror couldn't be fitted at the dealership. The remote contol only works on driver side and is not remote for all doors.

Final Words This could be great car for those moving from 2 wheel catagory but pain for others going in for 2nd car n looking for features which are very normal esp as it isn't a one lac car. I have seen a 2nd time recall for so called upgrade and new car is being projected as 2012 model....I wanted to sell my car but no one responded to my adv eventhough no price given. I know it's at least 1 lac loss if i can manage to sell it.

Areas of improvement There are many areas listed above to make it user friendly.

Good style, roomy interiors and looksMissing Glove box, boot, air blower throws only sound...no air, A/C poor, missing left rear mirror
