Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Space is excellent but plastics are poor.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox: Excellent mileage. 23 kmpl between Vijayawada and Hyderabad many times.

 

Ride Quality & Handling : Excellent with one or two occupants.

 

Final Words:  Recommended as a seconnd car of the house in place of two wheeler

 

Areas of improvement: Steering, rear door, blind view area on left and right. 

0. I own two Nanos. I bought one second hand and I liked it so much I bought the second one also second hand. Both have done nearly 20,000km when I bought them and now I do about a thousand km every month on each. I suggest people to keep a Nano as a second car in the house. Let the first car be of their choice but second and third cars can be Nanos.

1. When we have to take a sharp turn to come out of parking areas, the steering gets locked.   2. To check water and oil levels, it is too cumbersome to open the engine compartment and even then we can not have a full view of the engine.

3. Think about air conditioner. The car being too small, AC is not able to spread properly and so getting hot.

4. Right and left view blinding due to quarter glass arrangement (beams are too thick) and the driver misses two wheelers completely.

5. Pedestrians are not respecting Nano  and more so its horn. So improve horn.

THE EXTERIOR IS VERY LOVABLE. THE NEW DESIGN IS LOVED BY MANY AND PARTICULARLY SMALL CHILDREN.IT HAS GOT VERIETY AND GENIOUSNESS.

THE SPACE IS MARVELLOUS. ONE CAN ONLY JUDGE IT BY SITTING INSIDE. BOON FOR TALL PEOPLE AND WELCOME RELIEF AS CAR MARKET WAS STUFFED BY JAPENESE CARS WHICH DO NOT THINK ABOUT HEIGHT.

THE INTERIOR IS SIMPLE AND APT FOR USERS OF CARS. BY ADDING SPACE FOR KEEPING WATER BOOTLE AND MOBILES THE CRITICS CAN BE AVIODED.

SO FAR ENGINE AND PERFORMANCE IS CONCERNED IT IS GREAT FOR CITY RIDE AND OK FOR.

HIGHWAYS. AFTERALL YOU DO NOT EXPECT EVERYBODY TO RIDE 100 PLUS.

THE ENGINE IS NEW AND LITTLE BIT NOISY BUT INSIDE THE CAR U DO NOT HEAR IT AND HENCE FOR OWNERS IT IS NOT AN ISSUE AT ALL. I AM DRIVING THE CAR SINCE LAST FOUR Y EARS AND HAVE NOT FACES ANY PROBLEM WITH ENGINE.

MUCH HAS BEEN TOLD ABOUT AVARAGE AND IT IS THE BEST IN CLASS. GEAR BOX IS LITTLE, UNCOMFORTABLE.

THE GREATEST ADVANTAGE IS ITS EASY RIDING IN ALL CONDITIONS. MANUAL DRIVING IN CITIES IS ALSO SAFE DRIVING AND EASY DRIVING.

ALL FOUR WHEEL ENTRANTS LADIES AND PLUS 50 PURCHASERS SHOULD GO FOR NANO ONLY.

COST EFFECTIVE EASY DRIVING N & PARKINGABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

I like the exterious its a cute looking care but hope they can give more soothing color options. I had to opt for purple out of no choice.

very spacious car from inside a tall car with high seats. althoug rest is all basic but u cant expect much for the price we are paying.

fuel economy of 15 in city and 23 on higways. pick us good considering its a light weight care. have to be careful driving on highways.

Its so easy to dodge the city traffice. I would like the suspesion to be more softer though.

great city car go for it and use it for many years.its jumps a little bit if empty I would like the wheels to be little bigger. Then u cant expect everything for the price we are paying.

Color and suspension. They can also improve on the plastic quality. Breakes are basic can sometimes hard to manage tata can give more modern breaking sytem. then again it also boils down to price. are we ready to pay higher price? its unfortunate this car is not getting the sales number it deserves to get.

This is my third Nano. I am 6 ft tall and I fit comfortably in it as compared to even bigger cars. The third Nano was puchaed in August 2017. The features and finish provided in it are of superb quality including the 2 din deck. A pleasure to drive an automatic. Marvelous job by Tatas. Compared to the other AMT there is a huge price difference. The Bluetooth feature where your hands are free while talking is just super. Clarity of voice. While playing music the speakers give a clear rich sound without hurting your ears

I am driving Tata Nano since 2011.My first car was base model. No doubt an excellent car I have traveled so many places like Digha, Puri,Chandipur, Simlipal Forest,Joshipur ,Tarapith etc several times,never face any problem. Fuel consumption approximate 21kmpl. With full load in hill area smooth running. Cabin is more specious than other small car. Second car I purchased in the year 2015, that is Tata Nano Twist XT ,it has everything like any luxury car. Fuel consumption is little bit more approx 19 kmpl with full Ac. Visibility from driver is far better than other cars. No doubt comfortable and trouble free performance. I like Tana Nano very much and request everyone to try once,I am satisfied with my car.

Specious, good looking, good ac, mileage is good, leg room head room more than Alto, enough ground clearance Power feel short on highway, suspension are average( what expected in this price) I had a used car heance need more maintenance, but not more, parts are cheap, brakes are average Over best in this price

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Too good an ouput for a 624 CC engine.

Ride Quality & Handling Too good.

Final Words Tata Nano is a Masterpiece from the TATA stables. I am using the car from 2012 and have covered over 70,000 kms smoothly. It's handling is really fantastic. Love the car and also love TAFE Reach Chennai for their excellent servicing of the vehicle. I take the vehicle for long drives and have covered 330 kms straight with a single tank full of fuel. Hats off to TATAs, especially - the most Honourable Ratan Tata Ji. God bless him with good health always.

Areas of improvement

1. It would be nice if the tank capacity is increased to 20 or 25 litres.

2. If the vehicle is driven on the potholes in the road, the alignment changes easily and i lost two tyres because of this. Can be made a bit sturdy to face the potholes which are the trademarks of Indian roads.

Superb leg space, Fantastic driving comfort, very easy to park in the city, easy handling.The front and back tyre sizes are different but you can use both the sizes for any emergency.

The most relieving news was when the Chairman decided not to do away with the Nano production. I live in hill country so I need to engage the manual and not depend on auto all the time. Super mini car and super comfort. Keep up the good work of serving the people and the nation at large. Hats off to its pioneers.

I bought a Tata Nano XTA Twist Automatic in Jul 17. I drove it for close to 10 to 12 Kms everyday till I got a grip of Auto Driving. I made a trip with my wife and two grown up sons to a nearby resort for 200 Kms. The road was dirty with ups and downs and what not for 20 Kms. I had my doubt if the Nano could make it with full load ! I was proven wrong. The ground clearance, the pick up, the auto gear shifting was great. After driving about 1500 Kms, I had a requirement to shift the vehicle from Nagpur to Bengaluru. Me and my Doctor son, again with a full load luggage on the rear seat made the 1130 Kms in two days taking a break every two hours. I had a doubt on the robustness of the vehicle. The Tata Nano XTA Twist is too robust. We could overtake all speedy trucks and busses on the way by maintaining an average speed of close to 60 Kmph, the highest being 105. I got an average of 20 Km per ltr with AC on. It can be car for every family for drive every day in tje City, For small family short trips, For old couple it is a wonder due to lightest of steering, high driver seat for grand vision and automatic feature. Its small size makes to be parked in the crowded places at ease. It's very less turning radius makes it most manoeuverable. Long Live Nanao. A wonder product from Tata.
