Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Pickup is good but my current mileage of 12-13 kmpl in Bangalore city is extremely sad!
Ride Quality & Handling OK.
Final Words This car is not for a city like Bangalore. The only reason I bought this car was for mileage. I compromised on comfort and build quality for mileage but I feel I am taken for a ride. As per the dealer, we an get a mileage of 17 kmpl (if not 22 kmpl claimed by some reviewers) in Bangalore city only if we drive on a particular road AND some one from their staff drives it AND may be after 10,000 kms(initially I was told to wait till first service but that didn't work). After getting such a response I didn't even approach them for an inspection! I have given up and may soon decide to return the car back to respected Shri. Ratan Tataji.
Areas of improvement This is a city car and mileage has to be 20 kmpl atleast! 13 kmpl for 600cc no matter what the traffic on road is or who is driving is extremly bad! My 1600 cc SX4 gives 10 kmpl on the same route!.

Exterior Looks good.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox With the AC, fuel consumption is very high.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride is smooth, I bought a Nano for my parents in March. The car has run about 500 Kms and it stopped working. The dealer took the car for repair and says that the Relay is burnt. I have been waiting for the last 1 week and they have not got the parts yet so my car is lying at the service station and no one is able to give me any info about when it will be repaired.
This is the first time in my life i have heard of a relay getting burnt and that too within 8 months and only 500 kms. The service stations tentativeness makes me more nervous.
Moreover, when i bought the car the dealer got it registered with an incomplete address. On pointing this out he blamed it on the Motor Vehicle department and refused to get it corrected. I know it is not a mistake of the Motor Vehicles because I have seen other cars in my locality with the correct address. The dealer just does nto care.
Be careful when you buy.
Areas of improvement Service and reliability should be improved.

Exterior Very attractive,colorful,fog lamps are added advantage, the windshield wiper is innovative.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very appealing and comfortable quite spacious interiors. Ihave not faced problem with the steering wheel.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox All excellent I have not faced any problem during my use of the car on all types of roads and climbs.Engine has not given any problem,fuel economy has been excellent and there has been no problem with gearbox except once or twice but ignorable.
Ride Quality & Handling Very smooth and comfortable on all types of roads and climbs.
Final Words Too many excellent features packed together with excellent technology.I use the car for within city/work and sometimes for outstation rides. I have enjoyed my car with its A.C. and Heater, power windows, central locking, the suspensions and breaking systems are comfortable and safe.
Areas of improvement May go in for diesel model but with extra engine power packed.add 5th door and baggage space Price may also be kept reasonable may think of power steering, power transmission and any other novel features commensurate with TATA reputation.

Exterior Cute looking & easy to maintain. Good ground clearance but i doubt the official ground clearance claim by Tata Motors of 180mm.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Less features as expected, poor plastic quality & poor fit & finish as expected looking at the price tag, good leg head & shoulder room, spacious, good suspension & good ride quality.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance decreases with the AC on. While climbing a steep gradient the AC should be put off or else the engine struggles to perform. Noisy engine. The fuel economy is excellent & one won't worry much being stuck in a city traffic jam. The gear is easy to engage & easy to reach. AC is very efficient as of all Tata cars. I made this compliment as i had earlier owned Indigo CS, Safari Dicor EX & presently own Safari Storme LX. All with excellent AC performance.
Ride Quality & Handling Good ride quality with good suspension. I purchased my Nano CX BS4 on December 2012 & have done around 9,200 Kms with some highway tours as well. Who says Nano can't run for more than 100 Kms at a stretch..???!!! I have tried this & run my Nano for 200 plus Kms at a stretch wit no issues whatsoever. But basically it's a city car & not a highway car as it's maximum speed limit is only 105 Kms/hr. It's better & advisable to use the car for what it is made for i.e. in city. The seating height is good & the driver have a good view of the road. The headlight throw at night is good as well. The wiper don't have the intermittent or flick/mist wipe function which makes driving during light showers a bit difficult & also running the wiper constantly unnecessarily during light showers have the high risk of making scratches in the front windshield. This is a miss out by Tata Motors. The engine is very noisy & it's better to drive with the AC on. Parking at tight situations is sometimes very tiring for the driver as there is no power steering. But during running condition the handling is good & one don't feel the need of power steering.
Final Words Awesome car & one should not expect more features at this price tag. Also as far as I am concerned I won't compare this car with either Hyundai Eon or Maruti Suzuki Alto. Nano makes a different segment altogether. Overall a wonder car & an owner's pride. Own it to know it..!!!

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) A premium car driving feeling for thr driver & his/her Partner in the front seats. Sound speaker quality is Good so is the AC.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good Pull/Pick up, fuel economy: Not yet acessed. Good Clutch & Gear syncronisation. A Dream Power Steering.
Ride Quality & Handling Lovely for the Driver, irrespective of his/her height & built. Not that good for pillion seat riders.
Final Words The most wanted Street Fun & Smart Car, irrespective of Age. You will be delighted to be a Driver of Nano Twist XT.
On a fine Holiday morning drive out of the City for 200 kms at a stretch, at a speed of 80Kmph. Take rest for a while & again start enjoying the drive & the Fun.
Areas of improvement The Luggage Door at the rear like any Hatchback. The engine sound should have a better muffler.

I Own a Manza( Petrol)and the wonderful choice i have made ever but suffered a lot to take it in Chennai traffice for my day to day office use :(. So i thought of taking a small car( Second hand) to tackle City traffice with decent milage. After Considering several small cars Nano was the choice i made. I bought a LX version 2012 Model for just Rs. 1 L which has 6500 KM on Meter. Wow Now after 2 Months Never touch My Manza. The best car for City trafic and never need to worry for scratches adn small accidents as the spare parts very very cheaper.
Exterior Cute doll like exterior Simple and neat. Petrol tank cover could be kept outside like other cars. Every time I need to open the bonnet. But Not a big issue.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very comfortable interior. I am 6 Ft and can comfortabley sit in the back with legs fully streached. AC is Wonderful and 1 point is enough to cool the whole Car. Seats are bit not comfortable for a 6 ft bulky Guy. My family finds it good though. I have left leg pain because of the seat. will change it sooner.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is decent. Dont expect a BMW out of it. It is just 625 CC and Manages Traffic very well. easily touches 80 KMPH without any power lag. Gears are tall. first and second gears are enought o drive in bumper to bumper trafic Second gear manages 40kmph easily.
One Tank fill(15 L) Gives me an average of 370 KM in city traffic Which is arround 24.6 KmPL in City. I dont use AC much though as i consider my car a Bike :D. With AC on always average is 18.5 KMPL. Still best in the class
Ride Quality & Handling This is the intresting part. Lot of fun. almost all the car drivers and even Auto rickshaw drivers used to scowl Me in Heavy traffic. I can zig in any traffic and come out fast. 2 Bike space is enough to park my car . Most of the time i park My car in Bike space :). Very easy to drive in city traffice. But better buy Twist Model As stearing in No power Stearing model is not soo comfortable while turining the car in traffice. But this is a negligeble issue.
Final Words I had a very bad impression on Nano till i buy it. seriously dont listen to comments who says nano is bad because they have no idea about nano. I have driven the car 4000 KM in 50 days. This is enough to say about this car. I have taken the car to pondy and returned 27 KMPL without AC. But i wont recommend long drive. No fun at all as you can go max. 100 KMPH in this car.
But for CITY drive the best car and only TATA can bring a better smaller car like this. Buy it and you wont regret it. But buy a model which is 2012 and after. I wife learned car driving in this car in just 2 hrs. I will drive this car for 1 L KM And will buy an XT model(New one ofcourse)
Areas of improvement Please TATA we need Disc breaks for this car. At speeds above 70 KMPH in rainy season breaking is pathetic. Please do something as accessory atleast.

Infact this is my second Nano, the previous brought during 2012 Janaury, and exchanged it for Power steering model Twist XT and enjoy the ride everytime I take the vehicle. I use this vehicle on regular basis for my official use and never ever thought of parking or driving as it is a wonderful car and I really appreciate Mr. Ratan Tata for giving such a wonderful vehicle at such an affordable price and very relaible in all respects. I also travel non stop for 350 to 400 kms on highways and never encountered any problem as I am confident of this vehicle and its performance.
We, Indians in general always appreciate a foreign national if such a vehicle is produced in a foreign country and always fail to appreciate our own Country men for such laudable job made for the benefit and welfare of common people of India. I think we have to also encourage Made in India branding for our future generations to enjoy.
Areas of improvement I think for the pricing I have no regrets and keep up the good work Tata Motors

It has bit unconvential exterior design but ground clearance is excellent. You can drive on normal water logged roads easily than any other car.
Interior is very good. Very spacious considering the size of car. It is something you believe only when you sit in the car. Again dash board is execellent condidering the size.
Engine performance is good. Pick up is surprisingly excellent when compared to engine power in CC. However there is a considerable engine noise inside the Car but you feel it iiritating only when you are driving on Highway. You may find shifting gears akward initially but when used continuously, its ok. The car is giving me an excellent fuel economy while driving in Ahmedabad City. About 20 Kms/Ltrs with AC at minimum.
It is easy to handle in heavy city traffic and there lies the advantage.
I bought this car at Rs.2.05 L and it is more than value for maney.

A good car but after sale service needs to be improved. If the car is to be kept alive some promises should be made by Tata Motors.
1.Availbility of spare parts within easy approach.
2.Nano first should be the dictum in service centres.
3. Special trained mechanics for Nano in service station. Long life to Nano is slow but sure. Deficits of technology may be improved gradually keeping the basic structures intact. Then price of the car may be increased then. It is high time to launch Nano Jeep Under 4 lakh.

It's a great car for everyday city use, to go get ur groceries or run to the shop nearby. I get close to 22 kmpl and that's more than sufficient. The space on the inside contrary to the exterior is abundant and can seat 4 adults in comfort. The drive itself is wooden and kinda harsh. But like I said it's the perfect car if u want to own 2 cars, get a nano for ur everyday running around and a larger car for the highway or something flamboyant that's too impractical for everyday use. Would recommend as a taxi replacement.
