We travelled from Faridabad to Manipal University Campus in Karnatak and back again to Faridabad in our Tata manza Quadrajet Aura Diesel purchased in July 2010. We undertook this journey just 6 months ago to see our Son off for his graduation course that he was admitted for at Manipal University.
Not one scratch, not once any problem (except for rear door left side got locked), smooth comfortable drive all the 5273 km to and fro. Inspite of heavy traffic jams from Delhi to Jaipur due to highway broadning on a whole we got an average fuel consumption of 19.9 Km per liter of deisel. Actually our expenditure on toll task about Rs. 2300 appeared was the unexpected part.
I must congratulate Tata Motors for having created a master piece. They must however concentrate on simple things like rusting of door opening levers, etc. Please do not do cost cutting here.
The path we followed was:
Day 1: Faridabad >> Gurgaon >> Jaipur >> (Unplanned halt for night due to heavy traffic jams from Delhi to Jaipur patch at not so known place called some Kalimati chowk).
Day 2:>> Udaipur >> Himatnagar >> Ahemdabad >> vadodhra (planned Halt for night).
Day 3: Vadodhara >> Thane (near Mumbai) >> Pune (third Scheduled halt at Pune).
Day 4: Pune >> Sangli (Our home town we stayed here for 4 days).
Day 8: Sangli >> Kolhapur >> Goa >> Karwar (unplanned halt at Karwar as we got caught in traffic jam at Phonda Ghats before hitting Goa).
Day 9: Karwar >> Udupi >> Manipal University
We stayed at Manipal for 3 days and returned via the same route. While returning we did a non-stop journey from Ahemdabad (7 am) till we reached Faridabad (2 am next day wee hours) and then I selpt only to wake up at 4:30 pm that day.
On a whole a great journey with Tata Manza as a faithful companion.
