Exterior Good , Most of the folks do not like the looks from rear but it is good to have a car which has the highest boot space in it's segment.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Space and comfort is excellent especially the rear seats. You have enough leg rooms and the height of the cabin also decent. But you can find the poor quality plastic fittings which i feel TATA should have a re look on that. Also the dash board gives some noices when you pass through village roads. Initially it was calm but after 10 K kms noise started. ( response from the Service dealer --- The dash board settings are done by company and from the factory machines and if the dealer/mechanic try to fix it , it might create more sounds later, Please adjust with these disturbances by playing high voltage music).
Also the display above the dash board goes off frequently
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox You will feel Turbo lagging if you compare with Dezire VDI, Also less pickup against dezire VDI, But FE is excellent i am getting 18 KM (Overall average) . Gear change is little tough compared to Dezire VDI. ALso the steering is better in Desire. In Manza you feel a Jerk /vibration on steering wheel in off road drives. Door settings are not proper and most of the time it will not close with a feather touch. It needs a push to close the door properly.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride Quality and Handling is excellent . Comfort /space is excellent compared to Swift Dezire.
Final Words Value for Money. If you are looking for a car for comfort/Space and FE with all features better grab it. It gives all features which you can see in the next segment class cars.
Areas of improvement Quality testing needs to be the key area where TATA should focus. Poor Plastics/ Door settings / interior Fittings needs to be improved.

Hi Guys.
i purchased the TATA INDIGO MANZA Quadrajet Aura on the 12th of March 2010. My car has clocked 32000 Kms over a period of 16 Months at an average running of 2000kms/Month.The exterior styling of the car is best in its class if you compare it to the Swift Dzire or even the Toyota ETIOS. Specially the front grille gives it a very upmarket feel in its segment.The rear however will not win many hearts.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
The interiors is something that TATA has really improved on if you compare it to the earlier INDICA/INDIGO era. The odometer has a very retro look and a combination of the black and white dials actually justify the tagline "CLASS APART".The quality of materials used are a bit tacky which is understandable as the car is accordingly priced. The interior and the boot space can be compared to that of a Toyota Corolla and is a major USP.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
The Engine is the same 1.3litre Multijet diesel which also does the job in the swift, swift dzire, Ritz,Punto, Linea and the SX4 diesel. The engines are tuned accordingly for better fuel effeciency. The car drives well, However it has some turbo lag under 2000rpm. However once the needle crosses 2000rpm, the Turbo kicks in and this car is FUN and goes all VVvvvvrrrrrooooooommmmm !!!!.
I drive with a light foot, so i have managed to get maximum out of this car in terms of fuel effiency. In City conditions with the AC on i have managed to achieve 15 Kms/Litre. On highways 19kms/Litre. I had taken the car to goa few months back on the beautiful NH4 Highway where i drove the car for 625 kms at a stretch. It gave me an astonishing figure of 22 Kms/Litre.
Moral of the story: If you give the car respect by driving at decent speeds and with a light foot and no sudden braking, The car will reward you with a greater Fuel effeciency and Low Maintenance.
Ride Quality & Handling
The ride quality is decent, however not great on bumpy roads. You will here some noise from the suspension over speed breakers. The ride and handling at high speeds is very good.
Final Words
This car is a great VFM offering. However the biggest mistake we people do is buy a SPACIOUS car like a MANZA with all the upmarket offerings and features, space, comfort etc.and compare it to the Citys, the fiestas, the vernas etc.. We nowhere think about getting such a big spacious car at a price which is almost 2.5 to 3 lacs cheaper than the D-Segment sedans. I guess the day we understand this phenomena, all our questions will be answered and we will accept the fact that, if one wants a big sedan at an affordable cost, one will have to compromise and accept few niggles that come along with a TATA Product.

Quality of Materials used can be better,Suspension can be better, Better Service network, Good sales executive with propoer product knowledge,

Exterior I would not say it is very good ,but it is not very bad as well.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors are good,specially the arm rest is a very good feature.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is very good i was able to overtake i20,Swift,Etios just like that.When the car touches 70 kms/hr,you fee like u r flying,millege is very good.I filled up the tank with normal diesel from HP and checked after driving for about 700kms and checked It has given me 18.75 Kms/Litre with full A/C on,Guys trust me if you know proper driving and and gear shift is done at right speed we will get more than this.Do not beleive if someone says the millege is less.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is great.Trust me ABS works fantastic.Handling is good,yes it a huge car but it does not require a large radius to turn,I missed the root a couple of times and was able to turn in small streets as well.Steering adjustment helps to keep the steering low for more comfort.
Final Words I did research for about 4 months in all the sedan cars between 7.5 to 9 lakhs (on road) and after going for a test ride in all the cars including hatchbacks and then bought it.Who ever us planning to buy please do not waste time go a book it right away so that you can start enjoying ur life with MANZA.
Areas of improvement Seat is little hard and my wife complains about it.I am planning to put a seat cover for the same. Nothing else apart for it.

I brought my car on 4- Sep-2010 (Pearl Dew White color, quadrajet Aura BS4).
Now it run for 15K Kms. VERY VERY happy manza customer till date.
found a very useful and helpful person at Concord motors, who takes care of my car very well during services.
Exterior : Except back look car looks awesome (specially white one)
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) : Features are the best with Bluetooth,lumbar support,stearing audio controls, DIS(Average mileage indicator, distance to empty indicator and outside temperature indicator), door open warning, indivial lights for each passenger(this is very helpfull when co driver want to read something while car is on move) , 7 speed Wiper, light in Glovebox, huge space all over the car, 2 power sockets, perfect thigh support for all the seats,on an emergency 4 can accomadate in back seat. Get in and out of car is very easly bcoz of good car's height.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox: Engine is AWESOME (as this is FIAT engine). very rarely u feel turbo lag, but once we keep the engine at over 1800 RPM so issues at all.
When car goes above 2400 RPM u feel like flying and u will be pushed back to ur seats.
After driving many cars i felt stearing (bcoz of Hydrolic powerstearing compared to electronic one in others) and gear box in this car is very very hard.
Mileage : when i drive in bumper to bumper traffic with full A/c i get just 12- 12.5 KMPL. Driving in normal easy traffic movement in the city i get around 14 KMPL with limited AC usage. when i drive on highway with Full AC i get 18.5 - 19 KMPL
Ride Quality & Handling:
Ride is AWESOME, u can drive 300-400 Kms easily without taking any breaks.
Car Handling at high speeds are not very impressive. Very difficult to stop when car is hitting more than 3000 RPM, may be ABS version will not have this problem.
When car goes above 130 KMPH speed, stearing wheel and gear knob vibrates a lot.
Final Words
Some one looking for sedan in the range of 7-9 Lakhs, just go for this car. but please make sure u do a through PDI before taking the car and also after buying if u find any issue then raise it to the highest level in TATA rather than to service/ sales excutives.
all its rivals are either costlier (verna, Rapid,Vento) or waiting period is more than 5 month(desire) or very expensive after sales service (Rapid,Fiesta classic) or shrinked space (Dzire,IKON) or horrible looks (Verito - logan) or huge compromize for quality (Etios).
My friends are repenting for not buying this car.
And this car will sure make ur neighbour jealousy for sure.

Exterior Purchased a New TATA Manza Aura ABS ( Quadrajet) in DEC 2011 and have clocked above 4500kms. Prior to purchase - I have researched for almost all brands of Hatch /sedans and shortlisted Hyundai i20, Maruti SX4, dezire and Tata manza and have test drive of all of them. Finally chosen manza diesel version due to its long features list , equivalent drive quality as compared to other shortlisted models, fuel economy, more space and offcourse great value for money. Got a good discount post Diwali offers. Other shortlisted models being price tagged more with less features as compared to Manza - selected version. Large boot space, good styling, better ride quality and eye catching Trian wine color.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good interior design with an attractive dash board housed with a 2Din music system and Blue tooth connectivity. Music clarity and sharpness being excellent with six speakers/ tweeters as compared to other models. Blue tooth feature simply great to connect mobile for playing music , watching videos. Rear seats offer more legroom and better seating comfort in its class with lots of space inside and can adopt in all five persons easily - comfortably. Rear center arm rest enhances comfort feel.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox TATA FIAT make quadrajet diesel engine delivering green power with smoothness. Turbo boosts at RPM above 2000 providing good pickup and great acceleration. Fuel economy being 16/17KMPL in city driving and @20KMPL on highways. Driver should be skilled enough to have good sense on gear shifting ability at optimised speeds. Gear shifting lever easy to access and handle to shift gears. DIS - driver info system on dash board indicates and displays precise readings on instant and trip fuel economy but distance to empty readings not consistent due to frequent changing parking level of car and hence fuel level in fuel tank.This needs improvement.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality equivalent to other models offering better road grip. ABS providing better control on stability of car during sharp turns and as n when reqd offering good safety on road during driving. I have experienced ABS effectiveness at once on a highway drive at speed of about 70KM/hr and applied brakes in emergency when one biker suddenly drove and crossed on to road in drive line of a car.
Final Words A well designed / engineered n drafted car at a less price tags as compared to other established brands. Good fuel economy / space n comfort /long features list / large boot space and good ride quality and can be affordable for Common Indian Man.
Areas of improvement Fit and finish can be further improved. I have faced few minor issues with a new car - rear speaker connections were not made, mobile charger inside connections were not made,ignition switch problem -this were addressed immediately by sales person at resp dealership in pune. no customer education on a new car systems during delivery. Overall Sales and service dealer - service quality not at par as compared to other established brands in market. Sales personels not eager to attend new customers at showrooms, address enquiries and resolve queries enabling efficiently attract the customers to make them join TATA family. It was only the product that forced me to go for it. TATA need to consider and address this aspect asap to avail great benefits with a such a well enggrd product in its product list basket.

TATA MANZA CAR A HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE , COMPLETE LED DOWN
I was among the first persons to buy this car in New Delhi purchased on 20th April 2010 from Rama Motors bearing number DL3CBN0794.
But the experience I had with the Tata Motors Dealer - Rama Motors , Okhla Industrial Area, Phase II New Delhi 110020 was HORRIBLE. Firstly I booked the car demanding for Golden (yellow) color but even after waiting for more than one month of booking (day to day follow-up with sales person & Sales & CS head with so many lingering commitments to me at Rama Motors) had to my-complete dismay & disappointment settle down with Colour Manza; as having been left with no other option.
Thereafter the pain didn’t end at all and miseries only added up.
Servicing was the pain, closure of service point of Rama motors without intimation & thereafter the near by service center at Matura road was also closed…… All this and more AND nobody thinks he is ACCOUNTABLE. Who gives the company an unbridled right to play with people’s hard earned money !!!
I had been servicing the car as per schedule given on the manual received with the car, even then the
Clutch plate has been replaced by me within two years (despite having 2+2 years warranty) on payment , whereby have been driving car from more than 14 years and none other car got such problem even after running the same for 5 years. Further cannot understand why is the warranty for the parts, if things are not covered. The service center even after commitment failed to deliver car as per the schedule of one day (taken two full day & that too improper service)& the problem with the pickup/clutch thereafter still persist ,even after various reminders to the Rama motor (Service) & commitments for pick-up of car, the Car was not picked or checked till date.
Now again have to replace the Coolant box which got heated, melted & broken/cracked ..,I can’t understand when a regular service is been taken as per the manual how cum the Coolant box cracked and heated…………no one can understand whether the service center check the level of coolant & other required oils. Everything regarding the service appears mysterious and transparency is conspicuous by it’s absence. The employees of the service center behave in a demanour as if they are working in FBI and any query regarding the service is a closely guarded federal secret information. Pathetic!!!!…..is the only word I can think of !!!!!!!!!
Only after two years there are lots of noise from engine as such we have purchased Indica old model. The problem of noise in Car still persist
Really shameful for such BIG brand of TATA for not providing proper service.

pls find below d pics of my TATA MAANZA car badly suffering from heavy rusting that took place during warranty period which is purely product defect. Now, in spite of complaint at their customer support department, there is no one to support us. They simply denied by saying it is out of warranty which simply means that the car has self life of only 3 yrs. I was very much confident that company will listen to me as it is run by great personalities like Mr. Cyrus Mistry, but now i feel i was wrong after getting the confidence from the people working at TATA authorised centre that company will not hear you and suggested not to waste my time.
So, ultimately I decided to take help of social media to raise my voice so high that company can listen to.

look mostly like vista but chrome finish in front grill make differentiate it with vista.
still far better shape than dzire from sideways.

good interios with dual tone dash plastic quality can be improved but buyer like me is more price concious , space in car is unbeatable you can stretch you legs , car is essentialiy very good for people with long drives and trips , lumbar support can addon to your comfort .
new 2 din music system has average sound , car cabin is very quite which is very big problem with tata car in its all previous cars .

engine very well refined, more than 6 cars are using the same fiat engine like maruti all diesel cars,fiat linea and punto. i feel little bit turbo lag at lower gears but ones it get motion it is great .
fuel economy as said by ARAI is apporx 20 which is sufficient and i am able to get 20.5km/ltr because of my driving habit
gear shifts is ok but not very smooth

ride quality is excellent , confident handling at high speed which is big ? in previous tata cars

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is very good. But the fuel consumption is too much.
Ride Quality & Handling Riding comfor fine. Handling the car is quite smooth.
Final Words I have to say that Tata Manza is a very good car as I own one now. When my friends comment that Maruti Swift Dezire is better on account of resale value where as Tata cars do not enjoy this privilege perhaps due to inferior quiality in certain aspects. When I booked aura,blue tooth facility was included but the car I got last month (March 2011) has no such facility. The cash discount of Rs.10,000/- offered was also not given for the reasons known only to the dealers.
Areas of improvement It is essential that the owner of a particular brand of car, here Manza, should feel proud of his vehicle and should get the value for the price he paid. Manza has to attain this goal, early.

Exterior Looks are subjective though. My views here. Front looks awesome, and the side flows in. Rear may not be to much liking though.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Nothing to complain on the long list of features. Oodles of space and extremely comfortable for both Front and Rear seats.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Nothing to complain about on the engine performance so far. I have clocked 10,500 km in the past 11 months. I drive in bumper-bumper traffic in the morning and smooth ride in nights. I get an average of about 14.6 km/l so far by Full Tank - Full Tank method. This is my first car, so cannot compare with anything else. Gears slot neatly. It is not silken smooth but gives confidence when shifting. Clutch is a bit hard.
Ride Quality & Handling Best to drive a bit sedately. Cornering has to be done at a nominal speed. Sudden turns, gives a decent amount of body roll. Once you are used to the feel, then no looking back.
Final Words Long list of features, humongous space inside, reasonably priced all this makes this car a Good value for money package. I would recommend this buy, if the small minor irritants can be absorbed by the potential owner, as the other + factors far outweigh them.
Areas of improvement Power window switches are a sore thumb. You need to pull a bit more than the normal position to roll up the windows. All four door Switches were replaced at-least twice to rectify this problem, but still persists in one. Power Window Switch lights (basically small white LEDs) are extremely unreliable. Just within 3 days of replacing the switch, the bulb conks off.
