Looks good and decent. Even after 3 years.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
Spacious and comfortable. original seats are not that comfortable. Interiors were gone in 2.5 years.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Not as powerful with AC on. Clutch plates gone after 40K km.
Ride Quality & Handling
Good. Shocks not good quality. Feels lighter than a Ford sedan.
Final Words
Expensive to maintain after 3 years. Not much response from dealer/company. Parts can get rusty and dangerous, and some jobs can run into 20-30k. They say that - i should have known to put rust coating (if it is so obvious, why didn't they do it, or the dealer - and charge extra). Electrical issues after 2 years. Don't know how many more. Company should take responsibility.
Areas of improvement
Tata should take more responsibility for larger jobs. Parts getting rusty is a basic - quality issue of the parts. And the internal design is so primitive that for some parts entire front - including engine and dashboard need to be taken apart.

I have very good experience when I drive my Indigo CS.I just love to drive my car for long roots like Pune, Satara, Kolhapur & many more places because of comfort,style,performance & fuel economy.
As I drive my car which is Indigo CS Diesel version I experience the problem of pickup & it is observed at the time of overtake at low gears. This the only one problem that I experienced while driving.
Overall experience of car is excellent i.e. cooling,comfort,fuel economy & looks also.

Exterior Car looks beautiful from outside. There's enough height provided as well as the wheel base is good along with considerably nice ground clearance. Headlights are faboulus.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) For a tall(6 feet 2 inches) & well built person like me the driving position is extemely good as compared to accent,verna,fiesta, or any other sedan. Interiors are a bit disappointing as the same old design has been repeated with very negligible changes. Space at the back is also worth appalauding!😄
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is satisfactory, specially when it goes above 80 kph it is like a butter! I get a descent fuel economy 18 in the city & 20 on the highways. It is a real VALUE FOR MONEY GEM from tata's stable!!😵
Ride Quality & Handling At times specially in the city area it feels a bit rough to handle but for a sedan of its cost & built this is a very small issue. For long route there is no other car like indigo cs!
Final Words With 1.5 yrs of ownership & 22000 kms i would definitely suggest people to buy this vehicle without any doubt.

I used to go to places a lot and usually self drive. This is the best car that fits to me in all the ways.
It give good mileage, speed and ver easy to drive. I like its style and the performance of it overall. but the service of the company VST motors trichy or the True Sai works salem is not much up to the mark. Even their water wash (paid ) is not up to the mark. But private car care is good cheap and the car is fit to go anywhere without any problem and cover lots and lots of kilometer without causing any kind of break in journey. Engine is too good. Cost of maintenance is low when compred to other model of same type.

Hi all,
I've buyed a new e-lx 2 months before. Its giving me a mileage of 20 kmpl in the city like jaipur and when I drove it 2 agra, it gave me a mileage of 26kmpl.
Exterior Nice exteriror.bt its the old style of cs tdi. The rear bumper is nt 4 safety.u need a guard compulsarily.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interir is delux. Seats are not that comfortable. Boot space is awesome nd the dashboard is excellent.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Inside the cabin u cant feel that u r griving on a road nd in a car wid engine of diesel,its so sound proof cabin dat it seems as if u r driving on water.abt fuel economy ive talked earlier,nd the gear box is excelent.it seems as if u r driving a petrol car.its vry vry vry smooth.
Ride Quality & Handling When i drove it 2 agra,the speedometer touched 150 kmph nd the car was steady nd was stuck 2 the ground.as far as handling is concerned,i turned it vry smoothly at a speed of75 kmphin a ground nd it was vry steady at dat time.
Final Words I would like 2 conclude dat its a vry good car and all the good words in all dictinaries of all the languages belong to this car.

Exterior The overall exterior of the car is wonderful. I currently own a Xeta/CNG and am planning to buy a ELX Diesel. I would give it a 4.5 on a 5. It look from outside is same as the xeta. little changes like door knobs could have been added. The witdh of the car is smaller and could have been made slightly larger, offering more stability at higher speeds. I have driven this car at 120kms on the highway and it handled the speed well. The front grill is fine. The clear headlights are fine. overall a good look. This is a higher version and alloys could have been provided. also keyless entry would make it a stunner.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors are good. Boot space is fine, leg room is good, though no changes from the original indica types, if you get what i mean. could have done with some changes. otherwise people like me who already own a tata car, feel like they are buying the same thing. since this is the highest version, arm rest at driver and rear could have been provided. also there is no reading light at the rear, or did i miss to see that. Also cup holders, buttons for power windows are not easy to locate. it has a poor music system. could have done with a good blaupaunkt sys. Some features like the dashboard look plactic types. Overall this car is a value for money(VFM). The only thing is that they could have made some minor changes and this car would have been a stunner not only in performance but also on the interiors as well. I will buy this car as soon as i get sale for my xeta cng. Nobody seems interested in buying it from me.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Being a diesel engine, the sound levels are good, the pick up is absolutely fine. I drove this on the highway, so wont know handling in the city at slow speeds, but i can tell you one thing my friend, this little horse packs a punch at top speeds. Feul economy is good. I want to buy this car only because CNG today is almost the same at diesel. CNG is 36 and diesel not very far away, and the trouble at filling this every 150/160 kms is a pain.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride was good. I had taken a test drive with my wife and 4 yr old son and my wife at the back felt the pick up and speed. maybe the diference was that this sort of pickup is not available on a CNG. Handling of the power steering is fine and the gear box responds well at high speeds. though a lesser speed there is a slight stikness, but overall good. at 5.5 odd lacs, this is a great family car and since it diesel take it anywhere.
Final Words I will buy this car immediately if I get sale for my xeta CNG. Indigo elx is a great car with a great engine, pickup, looks and space. Overall a good buy.
Areas of improvement Slightly that i have penned earlier.
Stability, pick up, smooth gear shifts, space, boot space, power steering, Overall VFM.Cheap plastic dashboard, position of steering wheel, top end version does not have alloy wheels.

was totaly impressed by the car since it was launched,
went to india on my first vacation and took a test ride ,was satisfied ,but was not shure as the price was so cheap ,i thought to wait and watch if there is any trick,and kept on reading the reviews pn carwale and various other sites and found almost all my questions answered ,
finally i decided to go for TDI LS ,i booked it for delivery on teh day of dessara,but was so much confused on teh color that i was struggeling almost 3 weeks to decide whaich color,as most of the photos in media were in red color so i thought to go with red ,still i had shortlisted GOLD ,BLACK and White,
i must tell you its very difficult to decide on colors if you have not seen the car physicaly ,i could find no review to firmy say which color looks the best on CS,any way as i sent my parents and wife to see the vahical before delivery they all got a complete different view about the color teh same red color which was our favourate ,was no more our favourate ,
they came back and we all chaged our mind to white ,finny convinced teh dealer FORTUNE motors Narul and they agreed to give us White color ,we are very happly with the dealer support and the gentelness shown at the time of delivery ,i have not seen teh car but have seen teh photos of the car and my DAD is driveing the car ,
My dad had a 2002 INDICA V2, He is happy and he say aldough the interier is same but still is a good and prectical car.

The car is decently styled, has excellent space and comfort, responsive power steering, smooth power windows, powerful AC, good boot space, comfortable ride on bumpy road, overall value for money.However, one safety precaution is that accidently one cannot shift from 5th gear to reverse gear due to interlock.
The gear shift is not as smooth as with Maruti Vehicles as I have been driving Maruti Zen Lx for last 7 years. Regarding fuel economy, I have to check.Also, I feel that stereo should have been factory fitted.
I would recommend others to see for themselves and buy.

I have purchased this car few months back and on highways I have obtained a regular milage of 20 Km/l. This car has sufficiently large boot and leg space. I have also interacted with previous owner of this car and all of them are highly satisfied with the performance of this car. Certainly it does not have the few advanced features of Swift Dezire, such as audio control on steering. But at the same time, for all such not so important features we are getting all other remaining advantages approximately 2 lacs Rs. cheaper than Swift Dezire. I did not compare this car with Logan or new Ford Diesel.
