टाटा इंडिका [1999-2001]

Indica dlx is a good car, no doubt about it with good fuel economy ( around 20 kmpl) it is spacious and does well with a rough and tough body. i have one, going on with around 1000 km per month, i have reached 130km/hr with no problems. if it has better pickup, it would have been a great car. A few drawbacks are less pickup, handling noisy engine. more maintenance costs.good fuel economy,, spaciousMaintenance costs, less pickup, noisy engine

i am a owner from 2007 october of tata indica dlswe got it at tafe coimbatoreand the afetr sale service was horrible.our vehicle had a wheel alignment problem which was not checked in the service just 30 days ago and now our tyre has to be replced witha new one.i am just flabbergasted at this type of service it is better they do not mention about after sales service when marketing the vehicle we would have chosen better servicing people such as autozone coimbatoreit is a lesson we have learnt and i think we will never go to the tata service center againgood fuel economy,good stylenothing much

Tatas need to re-design the gear box for proper acceleration and pickup in AC mode. Should make rust-proof  total ABS body. Should pay proper attention to stagnant water seepage pockets inside the doors. I increased the tyre size to 175/70 and got extra 10% mileage. This size of tyres should be standard fitment. Tatas should pay some more attention to user friendly electricals and other consumables... e.g. if the wiper arm rubber wears off, we have to change the entire wiper arm and no loose rubbers for wipers are available. The electrical contacts wear off  very fast - due to excessive heating.. apparently the economy in manufacture is doing this... - and we have to change the full set to remedy... but we land up with the same old defective manufacture... mismatching in the load and contacts capacityExcellent fuel economy on diesel. I got over 25 KM/Ltr. on long drive - 500+ KMs. Very comfortableSudden braking in accidental conditions leaves much to be desired
