Exterior Exterior is simple, very less curves. I like the head lights, looks like an angry tiger, when lit. Tail light in morning looks out dated, but when you see it lit in night, it really looks nice. Trust me, next time you observe and you guys will second with me.
The size of the car is huge, especially width and height. Sometimes, this is a disadvantage, like when you park on streets, one side totally overlooks all cars, therefore prone to scratches and dents by passerby.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Space, space and lots of space. interiors good not great. The colour gives feeling of a very big car and airy too but at the same time they are not appealing, which itself gives an impression of cheap plastics. Plastic may be cheap and it does not matter as we are not going to chew it. It does compromise on comfort, which i think is priority. Rear seat is comfortable for 3 heavy built peoples. Feature wise its good, you get theater ambient light, which slowing goes off not sudden. It has central locking system, which automatically closes all doors when the car reaches speed of 10 kmpl, very good feature. AC is decent. In mid noon in summer, it will not chill you but only ensure that you do not sweat.
Centre console, people say it looks downmarket, but trust me it should be at this place only. recently drove I10 had to take time separately to bend sometimes to see. In this is really convenient, just a small eye turn and you can see all.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is good, but needs time to get used to it. Feels initial lag, but then no issues. Gearbox decent nothing great. Fuel economy is average in city but good on highways. Lots depend on driving habit, may be mine is not good as i am getting 10 without ac in city and 16-18 with ac on highways. Frankly i don't care for mileage as this car comes for approx 60k less from its competitors. So the price factor will be set off in five years, This car is not for speed monsters, but for cool and calm driver.
Ride Quality & Handling Shock absorbers are ultimate. Handling is also good, even at high speeds. you can easily take a turn (i mean major curve not actual turn at 90 degrees) at 100kmpl and the car will stick to road. Due to its size, sometimes it is stressful to drive in city, especially when surrounded by taxi's and rickshaws, as everyone knows their driving habit.
Final Words It has been a year having few highway trips clocked only 5k. All in all a good car and sheer value for money. The only family car, which gives comfort to entire family for the price we pay. After driving i10, i think this car does not fall within a category of hatchback and has passed nearly half way towards sedan. Considering its size, you can say it falls extactly in middle of a hatchback and sedan.
Areas of improvement Improvement in quality, and also to reduce few inches in size to make it more crisp.
