The extirior is well finished and nice, though I did not like the front grille much.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
The interior is only comparable to big sedans...space and comfort is no doubt the best in its class.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Tthe Saffire Engine from FIAT is very quiet and gives good pick up, and fuelt economy but could havemore power compared to other similar engines. gear box is much better than previous TATA cars, but could be much smoother.
Ride Quality & Handling
Ride quality and handling is also the best in its class. I have driven almost all the hatch backs and many a sedans, but again its only comparable to big sedans.
Final Words
This car is really the best in its class hatchback in terms of VFM, ride quality, space, comfort, handling and fuel economy. the very good in performnce. if not the best performer. just next to swift in power and pickup.

well engine is fiat the same as in dzire/swift diesel,punto linea etc.gear box is not 100% smooth though.
fuel economy in a city like mumbai has been 15 plus with ac on.

Final Words
all these auto magazines compare fabia,polo,swift etc but always leave this out.there is this anti tata phobia that they can only make trucks and diesel is not for family cars. well bmw,audi,mercedes also make diesel cars isnt it?so do not go by status etc use ur brains and buy this right now.i bought mine 2 years back.

Exterior The front is good.Rear is a bit same to the old Indica.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors look good and the blue backlit dials are funky but fit and finish is not great.It 's Bluetooth system,Aux-in and USB ports are available but no iPod port like New i10.Even no climate control.Great space and the seats are better than the cramped Swift and the Swift 's rear seats are good for children.Comfort is not bad.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is great.Fuel Economy is good and Gearbox is good.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride is better than Swift and handling is better than Ford Figo.
Final Words Tata Indica Vista is a good car.The Swift and Ford Figo are a bit dated looking but Swift looks too awkward and dated.The Indica Vista BS-IV and Swift BS-IV have same boot space but Figo has a big boot.But Vista looks like a new Mini SUV.Fit and Finish is not good.VFM really and great looking plus feature rich!!!!!!!!!!!!Vista is not a bad car.

"Satisfied user" is the "Key Word" I would like to bring-up in this review for people looking for "owner feedback" of Indica Vista Quadrajet.
I have been visiting this (along with other) sites for guidance on "purchase of car" for as long as 6 months now. Since I was going to put all my hard earned money for my "First car", I wanted to be sure "I do nothing wrong". It's really been a lot of research before giving out cheque for booking of Indica Vista Quadrajet to Automobile Sterling (Noida) on 12th December 2008. I wasn't at all confident about build quality of "any product" from Tata. As expected, rubber bedding, platics all were bad (Initially was pretty disappointed with all these). But for some reason I was never convienced to 30k more just for "finish quality" as other option available was Swift. I had no preference about diesel car or petrol car but was bit concerned about fuel efficiency of Safire as "feedback was not confidence insipring". Also "Quadrajet" has strong recommendation from one of my frnd who was 100% involved in my "car purchase process". BTW he own Swift VXi which agian is a greaf car.
After paying the booking advance I started experiecing 'Tata factor" and realised why people keep why from Tata. Automobile Sterling (Noida) had committed "End of Jan" for delievery of "Limited Edition" of Quadrajet. I kept asking him about one fixed date but he never replied that. Finally 29th Jan when I was hoping to get the delivery I was said that "Sir, we cannot give you the car. Please take your money back". I was stumped about this. The sales person even didn't seem apologetic. Anyways, since I liked the car so much I went to A One Motors (Delhi) and booked car with him. This gentlemen told me that he will e delievering car within 10 days (max). Then I heard rumour that Tata has already stopped production of Limited Edition. I was put in fix. I was left with no choice other than taking the matter direct to Tata headquarters. Now, this is were I liked Tata a bit. The were responsive and responsible enough. Right on that day I recieved call from Regional Manger (North India) who explained reason for delay in delievry. He also said it cleaar that he will not be able to deliever car anytime before a month. Since this seemed like a realistic statement I trusted him and told him that I was ready to wait for a month.
To my great surprise I recieved call from sales person @ A OneMotors after 2 days of above call. He said that car has arrived and I can take delievery anytime after "today". I thought Wow what a pleasant surprise!
Next day I reached show at "appointment time" along with my frnd. Reaching there we found, PDI was yet to be done and it's going to take longer than we thought. Then sales person told that if you "okay" the car I can get it billed. I said okay go ahead. BTW, it important to mention that we reached showroom at 1:00PM and the actual delievery process "Sales man asking for going ahead with billing" started at 3:00PM. for 2 hours we were doing nothing. The sales man took more than 3 hours to inform us (at 6:00 PM) that the car has already been billed for someone else and we cannot get the deilvery today. We had already spent 1 full day there. I was told to talk to GM of the showroom but this guy also seem to be adament was not ready to value our sentiments.
I was left with no option other than to call Regional Manger (North India) again an seek his help. He also said that, car was really billed for someone else and you should have not at all been called for delivery. I had to expalin him my situation. I must say he was really a gentlemen and said "give me five minutes, you will go with your car today". He arranged the things and finally it was informed to us the "car was being delivered to us". The feel we got was no less than winning a battle. My frnd exclaimed "buying car should make you feel good but not make you feel winner of battle" :)
Well then delievry process started. Every other helper at showroom was begging for tip every now and then. This too contributed towards adding annoyingness to my experience. We Finally drove out of showroom at 8:00PM. 7 hours to get the delivery of the car.
My experience with the car have been great so far. Since I am new to driving I cannot comment on contollability and all but I do feel that few things about this car are great and better tahn compitition (Swift). I like the suspension, It's superb. Blaupunk sterio is great! I feel that being hydraulic power steering it is harder than electronic one used in Swift.
I would not say this is zero problem car. There are cerain problems with "finish quality" of car but than should not (at atleast it did not in my case) influence choice of car.
Overall a huge car with all adequate features. I have yet not re-filled the tank after first time so cannot comment on fuel efficiency but my expectation is no greater than 15KMPL as my driving habits are yet to be refined.
In summary I would recommend this czar to people who do not mind "Tata" (By Tata, I mean non-professionalism about almost everything) and sole concern is "Good car" for money piad. This is not suited for perfectionists.

I have got Vista (Quadrajet Aura) for about 5 months now and I always adore it when I see it. It simply is very good looking. It is the most spacious car in its class. It is the most economical one. It gives a great comfort to you in the cabin, with almost no noise, very comfortable seats and space, which can be adjusted.. lots of space, even for luggage and lots of storage spaces for other things too!! ( like bottles, news papers, cups, laptop, mobile phone, books, etc.. etc..) In-built Music system, 2 laptop chargers, central locking, tubeless tyres, Quadrajet engine (fiat), 26 KMPL onroad milage (with AC off) and 23-24 KMPL (with AC on) on high ways and 21-22 KMPL in city milage. that too on diesel!!! with AC on !!! cool na? its safer than other cars of its class with TATA steel. More smoother, (even Diesel Model feels like Petrol) and surprisingly it is more spacious even than the Indigo!! and most important, Cheaper than all other cars of its class!!! and yes Even the TATA Sales and services are getting better now.. any problem, you can direct write to TATA. So why wait to buy the Best car with Chepest Price tag? Go for Vista guys this car just has every thing you cant even think of in other cars, once you get in you feel so good that it will sure change your attitude, and you will be Pleasently Surprised!

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) - There are several features that I love in my car like the seat height adjustment, steering adjustment. When it comes to space vista stands out among the hatchbacks. It has great room for 5 adults and the leg room in the front and rear is unbeatable. The seats are very comfortable. The console is excellent for the price we pay. The CD player does its job and not to be compared to Sony, etc.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox - The Fiat engine is awesome and contradictory to what I read in some reviews you don't hear the engine noise inside the car. The Gear box and clutch are great when compared to other Diesel cars. I get 17-18 kmpl inside Chennai city with A/c.
Ride Quality & Handling - Though it has power steering it is quite harder compared to Maruti. I wish Tata does something about this in their next version. I miss the ABS but glad that it is now available in the newer version. I've not driven above 80 Kmph and the overall the ride is great.
Final Words - I've had this car for 8 months now and have done 5000 miles. It's definitely worth the money and offers a load of features (music system, steering adjustment, seat height adjustment, lumbar support, fog lamps, rear wiper) compared to Swift that too for a lesser price. I've completed 2 free service and have had good experience contrary to the oft repeated complaint that their service is poor. I was even called for 4 FREE service camps so far and I have no complaints about their service. So much so that I am looking forward to upgrading myself to a Manza in the next 2 yrs.
Areas of improvement - The Power steering can be improved. A light in the boot would help

-ves: Poor finishing of Window beeding, Door beeding which could make noice cancellation even better, Inconsistent gap at the joints like bumper to body at fromnt & rear, improperly mounted roof rubber beeding.
+ves: Looks very sturdy build, Excellent head lights & tail lamps ( for good visibility on high ways and while raining)

-Ves: Moulding of plastics for body design and fixing of floor mat (insulating material)
+ves : Space space space - from rear seat you feel like its huge , comfort in seating interms of support for your (leg,thyes,lower back,upper back,neck...etc ), You will get all the necessary features one can expect to have.
For a 6ft tall people - Vista is the only car which has best Driver seat. I tried all hatch cars. Actually i love Swift but i need to do circuis to move my left leg below steering as the gap between Steering and seat is less.

and Gearbox : 6/10 " Gear changing is not smooth as cable is connecting Gear liver and Gear box " not a straight bars.
Ride Quality & Handling
1. Stright direction, Vista scores 10/10 due to its weight,width and smooth suspension.
2. Corners, Vista scores 5/10 due to its smooth suspension.
:) Confusing right? As per my analysis You will get Swift like drivability in the corners if " Suspension are made hard" but it will be bumpy ride on uneven roads and may loose control when you jump on a hump at 100+Kmph as shocks would push back respective wheels into air as its tight instead of compressing itself so that you can land on road in one shot. In Vista, you land safely as i experienced twice.
If suspension is smooth, You will get Vista like drivability in the straight roads if " Suspension are made hard" but it will be scary in the corners.
Final Words
My criteria for buying Vista: At 6Lacks price which ever diesel car scores more in the following criteria 1. Power (10/10) 2. Space (10/10) 3. Build (8/10) 4. Features (9/10) 5. Looks (9/10) and Maintenance (10/10)
Go for it as if your criteria is similer to it. Keep in ming life is all about compromise " one can find drawback in 20,30,40,50.....lack worth of cars also. also business is all about dont give all in one now but keep something for future - else you wont be having anything to compete in the market.
Dont look at which is good which is bad - its all about which is the best fit to your requirement
Areas of improvement
Tata marketing and design teams needs to be competitive in the market analysis and do research on who is doing what and how. Because, Vista needs minor tweaks at no cost as Vista has every thing but Professionalism in micro level is missing.

I bought an Indica Vista Safire Aura BS4 (Black) recently and I am very happy with this car so far. The bold, aggressive and sexy styling had me smitten since a long time. And I keep liking the style and shape of this car more with every passing day.
This car is big and wide and therefore can boast about the most spacious and comfortable interiors. The Aura version that I bought recently has a driver seat which is Height Adjustable and gets 2-way adjustable Lumbar support and amazing thigh support. Makes city and highway driving experience just amazing. I got a sixspeaker sound system, power windows on all 4 doors, power steering which is tilt adjustable, center console with speedometer, 2 trip meters, 1 odo meter, digital clock, fuel guage, tachometer, temperature indicator, etc. The car has two power outlets for mobile charging, one on the center console and the other near the parcel tray. The storage space in the dash board is huge. You can keep an 11" laptop inside the dash with no problem at all. The plastic quality of this car is good & the dual tone beige interiors make it look roomy in the day light. It has an anti-glare interior rear view mirror which works just fine. A drawer under the co-driver seat that can hold three 1ltr bottles easily. The boot is spacious too. I guess two suitcases and 3 bags can be dumped easily.
The engine performs well in the city. Although the pick up in 2nd gear is a bit lazy. But no problem for people who like to take it easy. The petrol engine is giving me a mileage of 16-18 kmpl with AC and 18-20 kmpl without AC in the city (In Nagpur with moderate traffic). No kidding!! I wonder what would be it's mileage on the highway. The steering system is very light and controlable and the gear box is a little hard but has perfect throws and a grippy feelig to it.
Ride quality is nice. Suspensions are soft and easily smooth out all the rough patches on the road. At high speeds this car is very calm and the driver can be confident about his driving. Gripy fat 175/70 tyres are too good. The breaking is not very hard and not very soft. Just about perfect for this car.
This car is packed with features and is very economical. The car had cost me 4,60,000 and I sure have got a great value for my money.
I am longing to take my car out on the highway. Let's see what kind of perfomance I get there.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Features of vista is acceptable very good improvement, vista means space and comfort, features like blue 5 stering mounted adjusment electric side view mirror adjusment are superb.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Same as swift ddis slightly turbo lag upto 40km.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality&handling is very very good in vista, in city it's so smooth new vista's cltch and steering functions is smoother than the old.highway riding is awesome it goes 160k easily. thanks to fiat multijet!
Final Words It's a value for money car, ill appriciate tata motors for this improvement tata motor must watch theire dealers service work please improve like maruthi services. Its a perfect family car with four or five members, driving experiance is superb rear seat is well comfort than other hatchback car.
Areas of improvement Interior quality is much much improved over all it's a super car for a family more features are added.
