good style
Purchased my new vista couple of months ago. Compared to other cars in hatchback segment, the space features and comfort offered by Vista at such a good price prompted me to go for it. till date Iam not disappointed.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) - you name it and you got it. Comfortable and spacious like any sedan. Choti gaadi main bade ka mazza.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox - Slightly deficient on power (petrol), fuel economy optimal. Gear box smooth.
Ride Quality & Handling - very smooth and comfortable to drive.
truly it is more car per car. It is far better and ahead of older Indicas. TATA should have taken it out only as a Vista, rather than indica vista. People still visualise it as a taxi. I would recommend a test drive at least before anybody rejects it without even having a look at it.

As this is my first car i will not comment much technically on the machine. But yes realistic view is that its really a value for money, which I always crib infront of everyone.
I bought Vista Aqua Safire, in year 2009 - Aug, as said this is my first car i dint had much knowledge as which is the best in market. But tiday i dont repent for my choice.
Today it has been travelled 30000 kms, With regard to some aspects i would comment on the Car, after years usage its AC effectiveness has been reduce drastically, Clutch is not the smoother like before, Gears Shifting gives hardness, when informed about this problems, service centre adviseed me to keep the car for 3-4 days as we have to get down the gear box, which really worried me a lot. Recently the pick up is also giving some problem, which i think should be sorted out with servicing. Power Windows, Output Power has been reduced, makes noise while winding up the glass. Also will comment on the type of service which is provided by ND Naik, Goa is not upto the mark.
However the car is best in the market, it will not survive its image if the service provider is not providing service as per customer satisfaction.
Exterior NO comments, as it gives awesome looks when runs on the road. Its the aero-dynamic shape which makes the machine runs with extra speed. What I like is the Head Lamp, its just a wow! what a high beam it has and has been nicely designed.
The Rear shape of the car also gives good looks and also the Long Length Tail Lights. Exterior is over All excellent, in my view.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Yes as others commented on the quality of plastics, its really not the best one used. Dashboard is very nice n huge, and UNIQUE Shape. Music System is good but not very good, needs to be improved.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox For me my machine is the best on the Highways, what a speed it picks up!!! Fuel economy for long drive i get 19KMPL, gear box started getting more harder on 30K kms.
Ride Quality & Handling I find ride is smoother, as i have not drove any cars on long highways. Engines makes sound on running, If the speed is exceeded 100 kmph the steering starts vibrating as if the steering wheel will come out in hand. I think this needs to be checked out.
Final Words Awesome Car, and can get maintain its image if service provider has well imporvised service centres.

Areas of improvement Interios and dash bord style which is disturbed all the passangers in the car. I have purchased indica vista tid (auqa) on 31/012/2008. car is value for money but the cheap plastic in the interiors are worse because of that the value of the car is average.... by mounting speedo meter all the passangers in the car are disturbed by seeing the speedo meter there are tensed... if the the meter is chandged to driver then it will be very good... seating is good and boot space of the car is good, cabing noise is very heavy it suffers alot with out music...
pricce is affordable for this carplastic used for interior is very cheap, because of it there are small sounds in the car.

Exterior At, first glance this car looks like an indica but then you pear its style it looks in style except the back so indica plays nice with looks.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors are well shaped but the fit and finish looks somewhat awkward and one can easily find the low quality products used but this has the best in class comfort and supportive seats which is good place to be in and also the beige interiors are more appealing.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Considering as a TATA product the engine refine levels are not good you can absolutely feel the diesel motor running, Another thing is the gearshift knob is not placed rightly and even the proportion in not good i havent checked it on highways but it can manage.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is poor in this vehicle because the steering column feels robust and this needs much of practice.
Final Words It is a really good car for those looking to spend carefully and the main aspect is the old people can get in and get out easily and its a pretty good value for money.
Areas of improvement Tata needs to respond for customer feedback so many aspects are need to be worked on.

TATA showcased their new 90PS hatch and the fledgling Manza in our offices today. Saw the interiors of the Indica AURA variant and was disappointed instantly. The plastics look like they've been scraped off a Nano. Is TATA outsourcing the interiors of its so-called premium vehicled to China? I drive a Ritz petrol, and even though the difference between the Maruti K12MN engine and the new TATA Safire engine is of just 5 BHP's, the refinement of the Maruti engines is far much more than that. The Ritz hits its peak torque at a lower RPM too, by the way. To sum it up, asking around 5.75L for this is just atrocious. I'd rather put in a few more bucks and get a sedan instead. The SX4, or even the VW Polo Highline 1.6 come to mind.

- Still the same TATA quality... doors have to be thumped to close them.

- Too cramped from the inside. I drive a Ritz, and the difference in cabin space seemed is too much.
+ The Blue5 connectivity makes its way to the 90PS Vista.
- No controls on the steering for above mentioned Blue5. WTF TATA?
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
+ The 90PS is said to pack a punch. Take a TD yourself to find out. My Ritz has 85 so I wouldn't feel much of a difference anyway.
Ride Quality & Handling Didn't TD... was too disappointed at what was being offered at *that* price.
Final Words The Indica/Indica Vista is known to the common man as the vehicle of choice for cab drivers. TATA obviously have done nothing to improve this image, and it seems they don't have anything planned for the near future either. Even though the complete package sounds attractive, the 90PS Vista loses its way in the middle, and the interiors, supposed to be low point of every Vista around, are a big lowdown this time as well.
Areas of improvement The interior quality needs some serious rethinking TATA! I found that the car was too cramped for my style. Maybe a little headroom or cabin space could be squeezed. If you're genuinely planning to buy one, make sure you test the competition as well. The Punto, Ritz and even the Polo are impressive machines with some serious competition to this car. If any.
It's a TATA.... the 90 PS engine packs a punch, alloys look good.It's a TATA... this car was meant to be a cab, built like a truck, and it shows.

Exterior is Good but can be still better by giving good steel finish. Also can improve the door shutting sound, can be minimised by giving good rubber beeding.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) lacks the fit and finish. Very poor plastic quality. Some time noisy when on bumpy road drives.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox is excellent and maintain same. Good job. Appriciate it. A huge round of applouse.
Ride Quality & Handling is good but can be made better by concentrating on clutch and brake pedal. Its not so smooth and it will have multiple stops while applying brakes and clutch. This is not only in my car, it is in all most all Vista quadrajet cars. I have tested it on almost 24 cars.
Final Words is value for money. Guy invest in this car and be proud on wise decission. Ofcourse this will not pamper your ego but surely makes you and your family feel happy drive on time and every time.

Exterior Though it looks dated compared to other new cars, still it can compete with.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Comfort is very good. lot of space in its class.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Fuel economy is very good. I got 18kmpl in highway and 12kmpl in city. Pick up is sluggish in city traffic with five adults. Pick up is less compared to the cars of its class. Need to increase the engine RPM upto 1500, if one has to move in 2nd gear from standstill.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality and handling is good.
Final Words If you want a spacious car with fuel efficiency and value for money car, then go for Vista saffire.
Areas of improvement I bought the Indica Vista Aqua BS4 on october 28th 2010. Tata engineers should look at the following.
1. Over all weight: Reducing the overall weight of the car in order to increase the performance of the car. 65ps of power is not sufficient compared to its weight. If they reduce the overall car weight without compromising other required parameters, nobody would come closer to the performance of the car and its fuel efficiency.
2. Fit and finish of the body: The panel gaps in the body is not equal at all points, some places it is less and some places it is very much noticable. Some vibration sound started coming out somewhere from the bonnet after running of 1000kms. Yet to show it to dealer. Gaps in the wind screen glass is more.
3. Paint quality: I am really disappointed with the paint quality of the car. One place inside the car was marked for poor paint quality, I think the marking was done by factory QA personnel, but even then car got assembled and got out of the company and delivered to me without being corrected. There are also three spots where the colour has lost its identity, there are flaws in the paint, exposing white inner coat. unfortunately I could notice it only after two months. Yet to show it to dealer.

The car looks nice, I love the shape. Its a far cry from the previous versions.
I love all the extras that comes with the car. If this was any other manufacturer it would have almost cost double the price of this car. The car is spacious and comfortable inside. All the gadgets are close by.
The engine is a bit sluggish but hen in motion it gives quite a nice rice and the responds nicely. The cabin noise is however unbearable and nullifies all the possitive aspects of this car. The gearbox at times makes the car sounds like a diesel car. The grinding sound when pullin away and cruising at 40 to 60 kmh is unbearable. I need to turn my radio up at these speeds to be able to hear the radio over the sound of the gearbox.
I was told this is normal for this cars (What a joke). I really think Tata must stop making cars and keep to trucks. I was really am disgusted at this car. The car went in and they replaced the gearbox kit but the garage working on my car made a real mess. There is now all kinds of other sounds on the car. They are still trying to get of the sounds. The funny part is that when it came back I told them that the noise was still there and they got the technician in from who confirmed that the noise was normal for this cars. My qeustion is if this is the case why did they replace the gearbox kit. Somehow someone do not know what they doing.
Can anyone give me the details of the Indian head office? I need to tell someone about the crab cars they making and the poor service we getting in South Africa

Exterior Build Quality is Good. It looks stylish and pretty impressive and big when compared with cars in the same price range.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I believe its decent, cant argue for the fact is what you pay is what you get. I think TATAs have given a very good car when compared to space and style with other cars in the same segment.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Its preety Good. Gives me 13+ on a regular basis with AC in the city and has given 15.5 on highways.
Ride Quality & Handling Good. Smooth Car.
Final Words All in all its a very good car. Gives you a space and comfort that a car should give. Only thing that disappoints me is the service that TATA service center gives. They absolutely have no idea at times what has to be done. All they do is wash the car and give it back to you. I believe if they can improve at this aspect this car will be all the more desirable.

Exterior This car looks good, I would prefer 15inch wheels on this car. It looks grossly undertyred. The Car doesnt look gorgeous but is not boring either except from the back.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very spacious car, can accomodate 5adults 100kgs+ easily. Good ingress and egress. Comfortable seating position, the seat and steering adjustment is a good confort to have in a car at this price. THE PLASTIC QUALITY AND FINISH NEEDS LOT OF IMPROVEMENT.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Very refined engine, unimaginable mileage (21/22kms on the highway full load @ constant speeds above 100kms/hr. Super smooth gearbox and engine. Very nice pickup.
Ride Quality & Handling The turning radius is poor, Suspension is superb, Braking can be better, they do not instill confidence in you. I guess the ABS version should be better on the braking front. The steering could have been better.
Final Words I guess this is the wisemans car, not the autoenthusiasts. This is the car for a logical mind. The most economic and most comfortable car around for Rs.5lac+.
Areas of improvement Interiors, Fit and finish, Wheels need to be bigger. INDICA NAME SHOULD GO!! this car has nothing to do with the earlier Indica.
