      First of all i wants to thank Tata for Launching such a good car for Indians. I brought this car 4 months back and still now i remain excited to drive my new car. My love for this car is increasing day by day.person who is reading (especially critics)this review must agree and accept the following points for vista: -


      1. Can't get better than that in just 4.70lacs as its a complete package for everyone regarding features, rock solid performance, and better up gradation of new indica in terms of style, handling (changed everything).

      2. Fiats best state of the art DDIS 1.3 Multijet engine, powering vista along with top power packed cars( swift, dzire and palio style) as we know that engine is heart of every car. and nearly all car's success rely on engine(ex. Swift) as swift's main pillar of success is engine which is same as in vista. But now u can thought that vista is more powered as compared to swift. i will explain with concept and fact:-
      *We all know that turbocharger is actually responsible for providing sudden torque to the car. In vista, it is configured in such a way that it opens up at 1750 RPM as compared to swift which comes into operation at 2000 rpm( You Can read tech. specification of both cars, its clearly mention{ 190NM AT 1750 rpm as compared to swift-190NM at 1750 rpm and driver can really smear its power and can sense the bloody power of vista}.i hope u understand.
      *Secondly the swifts body i.e. metalic sheet especially over front wheelbase, are more wider than required results in less Judgement which in turnleads to lack of confidence in driver.
      But vista as compared to older indica's which is known for poor judgement worked well in this context.

      3.Vista is more spacious as compared to swift(facts mentioned in dimensions) legroom is excellent, boot space is good)

      4. The overall features provided i.e Powersteering,central locking, tubeless tyres,HVAC,Power window. are in Vista which i think is more than sufficient in budget of 4.79lacs.

      5.One very important factor and till now remained undetected in swift.The all door's mirrors (swift) are thinner and are not properly installed which results in shaking. i think it may be noticed by some swift owners as too much noise comes from it in bad roads(its not gossip its true). but in vista, it is well managed and configured.

      6.The tyres are wider than swift ensures excellent grip on road even at high speeds along with good balance.

                               i think the person who read this review have cleared his/her doubts and will go for Vista (Quadrajet only)

      .As i owns 3 cars (1. Swift VDI, 2. Alto lx(bs3) and Indica Vista Aqua Quadrajet.its mine 7th car and i like this car the most because i am getting 20+mileage with ac in all conditions along with a burst of power.

      One thing i want to convey that i am not swift's critic as i itself own swift and liked it to, and is not trying to misrepresent.But its a Fact i know its too long to read but its a complete review for every enthusiastic, Confused, and intermediate person who is inquiring or planning to buy new car.

      Just think positive:-the engine noise i think is not such a big issue.
      let the car be serviced i.e. get engine oil change in every 5000 km along with required maintenance and i will sure this car will be your perfect partner for ur entire life.

      Still want more in <5 lacs=its not gettable.just go for vista without a miss or doubt by closing eyes because its true, factual.And if still u donn't believe me----just go for a test drive once and see the difference.im sure u got it.
      i know its more than a review but an essay but its necassary to write such a review

      I bought my Vista Saffire Aura (Solar Orange) from Pratham Automobiles - Pune. The car was delivered to me on 14th May 2009 (within a week of placing final order). As on today, I have clocked 1100 km in city traffic with AC on !!

      The milege has been 13 km in city traffic with AC on and my first-car driving experice of shifting gears and accelerator. Did not take it out for a long ride highway. So don't know what will be the milege there.

      Fortunate to get free insurance worth 10K , mud flats, door mats, service booklet worth couple of thousand free of cost ;-). I could have probably bargained more for free filming and anti-rust treatment in these recession times {but well there is no end to human desires ;-) }.

      The whole process of sales , The after-sales service has been excellent. There is always a very obidient service personal from Pratham available to attend to my needs whenever I visited them. I also had one of the TATA company professionals visiting me to explain some of the features and clarify my doubts. That was in response to my mail through customer care web-site. The whole process of after sales service is very professional and very plesant.

      One thing I would like to warn everyone is if any one says that their car doesn't make sounds like this and like that , but it is found in your Vista...... then just don't go by their word. Better conform their saying by sitting in their vehicle. Get a feel of the same and then make a decision whether whatever they say is true or not. Or-else you might end up running behind service personal unnecessarily. It happened to me.

      The perfomance and comfort in the car JUST rocks. The ride quality is too smooth. One of my friends who owns a Swift VDI commented that the smoothness and ride comfort that he found in my Vista is not found in his vehicle. This is not my opinion , but opinion of a Swift VDI owner ;-). Time to  feel proud Mr. Tata.

      The gas filled shock absorbers are just too smooth even for my pregnant wife. The rear seat leg-room ... oh... man it is just amazing. My 65 yrs old mom feels that finally there is a hatch-back which has respect for elderly parents who usually prefer to sit at the rear seats. { You may note that I had travelled in rear seats of Swift, A-Star, Wagon-R and Alto - and none of them could give me such a great comfort as Vista }. Ofcouse , you might find that comfort in sedans only. But Vista is hatch-back so I am comparing with other hatch-backs.

      Value For My hard-earned Money --> Integrated audio with USB, all power windows, height adjustible seat, titlable steering, Engine Immobilizer, Extended Warranty, Warning buzzers ... oh ... man the list just continues. All these EXTRA FEATURES for an amazingly competitive price.

      Planning to go for a long ride sometime soon .  Will update about that experience later.

      Exterior Stunning looks, its unfortunate that we accept Indian car and look at the improvements on this car. I see comments are not seperated to varied versions of indica. Latest BS4, spec cars are amazing features and all packed in offardble price. You pay 7.5 laks you get polo or jazz. Finally these cars fail due low milage, high maintenance cost and finally on the same mucky roads. Well, if you pay more you will get B segment cars which is much more suffesticated. defination of need cannot be endless.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) All safety features are equipped with great occupant comfort.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Best in class transmission, proven engine, experinced team definetly there you get best product... it solely depends how your maintenance and your driving skills. Dont get confused with how quick any car can reach 100, power etc, afterall you will not go for race everyday.

      Ride Quality & Handling Smooth and silent!

      Final Words Golf, polo, jazz in the market since decades and so is indica... you cannot cnage looks just that your have seen more, Made in India, lets be proud to own it

      Areas of improvement Message to dealers. Need professionalism in handling customer. except few dealers rest need re look.

      Exterior

      When standing near a I10, Santro, Alto and even its Sister Indigo LS, My Quadrajet looks like SHE is a Mother of all these Cars. Muscular Built, Technically awarded Good Built to all sections, Like engine area, sitting area and Hatch Back side.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

      For Interior and space, its i think beating all those BIG cars which are > 10 Lac Range. Rear seat is good enough for 3 BIG Boons and 4-5 medium Built Indian Male. Front seats are good enough working as a Small BED for copassanger.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

      Since i have purchased this 15 days back, and i have already driven 800 KM, once i had been to Jaipur. and i am getting an average > 25 KMPL(Believe me, its a hardcore calculation) I used AC not Often but i have driven this car @ 80 KMPH and performance is very good.

      Ride Quality & Handling

      This car is really a GEM, once in the car there is only one thing "Space", Space and Space . BOOT is also not bad, for a family of 2 Elders and 3 Kids(2 Grown up 1 small), Boot is good enough to keep the things managed .

      Final Words

      I will recommand this car to all those who want to purchase Diesel car and even Patrol car.

      I went to all showrooms(Hundai, GM, Mahindra, Tata but not Maruti) In all of these Santro and I10 disappointed me most as those Hundai people are making these cars now only for Profit and Profit. They have CUT down all the extra things in Santro, even thay are not providing Vanity mirror in GLS model, which will cost them only for 500 Rupees. and cost of the car is 3.92 Lac ( Huh !!)

      and For Maruti, those are making a Car for 2 Lac and selling it @ 4 Lac (Like Alto, Wagon-R) These cars are Just a Tin ka DABBA. Just a small Punch and there is a Dent . So a BIG NO NO to Maruti.

      Yes i Liked Mahindra, specially XYLO, but its a BIG car so dropped idea to have it Next time.

      i have got this Quadrajet  for 4.5 Lac(Aqua Model) and its a good deal Indeed.

      Areas of improvement

      Exterior Excellent bonnet,UGLY BACK VIEW,excellent aerodynamic designing for powerful drive.

       

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Low plastic quality,excellent space,roomy,boot space,high loading capacity,foldable back seats,wonderful A/C,good placement of console.excellent gear box.nice power window control.excellent BLUE ME. .wonderful steering adjustment,lumbar support,heightening of driver seat.

       

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox ENGINE-WONDERFUL, FUEL ECONOMY-OK,GOOD, GEAR BOX- EXCELLENT.

       

      Ride Quality & Handling GOOD AND SAFE WITH ABS,amazing control of the car even when speeding around 140kms/hr and appling brakes .good combination of power and control...more than my expectation in the drive quality..always wondered about my decision but not anymore now..i have made the right decision after all research..thanks to carwale.

       

      Final Words LOVE MY DECISION NOW (AFTER THREE MONTHS)  OF BUYING TATA INDica AFTER CANCELLING MY SWIFT VDI BOOKING. .folks-according to me one can buy vista in small and compact car segment..it pays you in more ways than you have imagined..this is my personal opinion.

       

      Areas of improvement MORE ON QUALITY OF INTERIORS. PLEASE CHANGE THE UGLY BACK BUMPER- NO MORE TAXI/CAB FRIENDS. You can check it out at your nearest tata showroom.

       

      wonderful engine-amazing power,excellent road grip,hats off to ABS,good mileage-value for money.....UGLY BACK BUMPER-dont forget to observe..low quality plastic interiors-nothing much..

      Exterior The exteriors compared to the earlier Vista is superb. I feel thisi has become the most beatiful hatch back car in the country. The chrome finishings are excellent.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The colour combination inside the car is very good. It is very spacious compared to Figo,polo and swift. I feel it is even better than Punto.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is very powerful. Gear box is very smooth. I got 22.1 kms/liter mileage when I went  to Ooty for Onam trip.

      Ride Quality & Handling It is good to use in city traffic as well as for long drives. I felt driving a luxuary sedan while I with family travelled till Ooty and came back.

      Final Words I can recomment to anybody who wants to buy a hatchback to Tata Vista VX.

      Areas of improvement The service center like Concord in Cochin has to be improved much. They don't know how to deal quality customers.

      Exterior Good exteriors. Looks like mini manza.Powerfull 3 barrel lamps.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Excellent sedan interiors, bluetooth support, quite good music systems.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Built for the kill. Good engine.High performance on highways. I rode 150+ but very little vibrations at that speed.Fuel economy is good, with 18 litres of diesel i travelled 370 kilometers.

      Ride Quality & Handling Excellent. The car has better handling as compared to its rival and as we all know that TATA provides with very cost effective after sales service.

      Final Words If you are intelligent buyer u will definetely buy this car. I dont say just go and buy but take a test ride compare with figo, polo, swift, micra diesel hatchback, then decide.

      Areas of improvement Little more Bootspace. Boot space = 232 litres. please add 232+50=282.

      Little more Ground clearance – 165mm. 165mm + 15mm=180mm will superb for village raods.

      With a fuel tank capacity on 37 litres and such brilliant fuel economy TATA MOTORS look forward to selling this car more effectively than the previous new Tata Indica Vista model.

      I owned a Indica Vista 1.3QDJ Aura on 25th Aug 2009. Have researched almost all reviews/threads on forum about this car. Wait and watched for 7-8 months before taking final decision. And now have no regrets over my decision. Its really a VFM People complaining about finish/build quality should also consider the cost factor and the performance which this car delivers. Engine:- Its a super quiet diesel engine I ever seen. Once inside cabin with windows rolled up many people just cannot identify it as diesel. This also proves its Cabin insulation quality. Even on out side there is no irritating Diesel clatter, (many people just avoid Old Indica due to this only reason). Compare this with, Skoda, Mahindra Logan, Swift/Dezire and you will feel the difference. Ride Quality:- This not a sports car, It has been made specially for families. Elder people will praise for it's 90° opening wide doors and Moderate height of floor for easy ingress/egress. Dirve the car on rough roads and you will feel the superb suspension working underneeth, Interested people can go in depth to study, subframe mounted suspension, gas filled shox etc. Has the best rear seat comfort in its class (In higher class also. What the else a family man can expect from a familiy car? Ride controls:- Admit that this may not be comparable with Grand Punto, Swift, etc but how many of us have those roads to race the car from 0-100 in few seconds? Its a perfect highway cruiser and can cruise all day long comfortably at 80-100Kmph. Offcourse sharp bends and twists to be taken carefully, but it is same for any vehicle. One cannot rely only on the ABS/road grip etc, its a skill of driver who, (I am sure a family man) will not like to make some nasty stunts with car. He just likes the comfort and it is there 100% in Vista Fuel Economy:- Every body knows success of Swift DDiS is the one and only 1.3 Multijet diesel engine from fiat. Same engine is doing duty under the hood of Vista, Ritz, Grand Punto, & Dezire. the engine is tuned with fiat sourced gearbox and definately delivers same FE as compared to swift. The heavy weigth of car also to be considered before giving adverse comments. It has longest wheel base and good road grip. Features:- HVAC, Music system (USB compatible), All power windows, Front-rear wipers, Fog lamps, 60/40 seat fold, Power out lets at front & rear are the balanced features which Vista offers and also they are usable and practical. The only thing which spoiling image of this car is peoples mentality about the name Indica. They should test drive the thing, do research, compare cost and results and then take a wise decision. Another factor which restrain people from buying is Tata's Service. But belive me, they are improving, I myself saw showroom guys taking training/doing meetings its an improvement. My buying with Tata dealer was very good, and I expect more improvement. So my friends you can go for Indica Vista and be a proud Indian. Nobody except TATA can give this price package for such a marvelous machine ThanksSpacious, Rugged, 1.3Multijet Diesel Engine, New attractive look, Driving comfort, Occupant comfort,Average quality finish of plastics/rubbers. No ABS, Less boot space, Indica Name

      I have booked Swift Vdi just 10 das before which is promised to deliver in 45 days. Meanwhile I saw new Indica Vista Aura version, and me first impression was fantastic. Though I have not taken a test drive, I am seriously considering it. If it gives the same exictment which I got when I test drove Vdi, I will definately change my mind. And guys its fully loaded Aura Quadrajet with Misic System, Rear fog lamp, rear defogger & rear washer, is 30k cheaper then Vdi. Seems GVM.

      Hello Everyone,

      I got my Vista Saffire Aura (Colour: Marina Silver) delivered on 10th July 09.. from Pratham Auto, Pune..Its s great car with tons of space...4 avg ppl can easily sit on rear seats.. Just one month of usage,, its already giving an average of 15 km in city with AC.. I'll be getting the first servicing done in a few days.... Not much of running only 700 kms in the first mth, the performance is absolutely fantastic.

      You have absolutely zero cabin noise..most silent car..very powerful AC..

      The first and second gears are a little hard unlike maruti, but the service center has told that it shall be sorted in the first servicing itself..

      Comparing, UVA-Wagon R, Santro, Swift, A star and I10 (all petrol versions) , Vista is absolutely a value for money car., with refreshing interiors...apple to apple comparison can prove it indeed.

      1) the space 2) the height 3) specifications 4) price

      moreover it has got FIAT engine, which is a proven one and needs absolutely no explaination....

      Shall be driving to Mumbai in couple of days time... shall keep you posted...

      Hello everybody, I'd been to Mumbai from pune with my beloved vista saffire, it was really great driving down on the E-way..the mileage im getting is 17 kms/litre constant in city. although i have still to calculate the highway mileage. But the car is absolutely no noise, powerful AC , efective in mumbai climate. Before leaving to Mumbai, i'd done my first free servicing after completion of 1000kms, good job done by pratham auto.. now the 1st and 2nd gear shift have also smoothen out...feels better now. shall update more..
