I've booked a Vista today, It is really nice car. I tested it. Its got good fuel economy, good space, good comfort, and many more facilities, like a desent CD/ audio player, power windows. two tone biege interiors, new comfortable seats, etc. but it is still cheaper!! the Top model of the car is available at the price of mid level model of other cars.
Please do not compare Swift with Vista, (its like comparing Shahrukh Khan and Amir Khan) they both are good at there own place. In some areas like ABS, iCATS, turning radius, electric power stearing, parts availability, service, less noise etc. Swift is good. Whereas Vista is Cheaper, stronger, spacious, newer features, audio system, more versatile, Bit of that Grunt etc..
but if we take common features like, Value for money, Milage, Cost, Space, features. both cars are almost same, but still Vista is cheaper, because if it was not, then people still would have opted for swift, as it is a proven car and Vista is new as compared. But truely speaking, Vista gives a good Value for money, and if you can save 50-60k why not? go for it!

i booked indica vista terra tdi at vivek automobiles mohan co.op ind.area delhi on ist week of may09my loan approved from hdfc on 15.5.09 the sales excutive mr.dhirender choudhery&manager mr.khalid told me that come at5pm i will go at 1pm there i saw the worker are painted full right side of that car they will give to me isay to them i will not taken this car then they are told me that wait for 1month i cancel my booking&refund my down payment back but bank loan ammount will not return earlier they are cheating me&waist my time this is very big tension for me. manoj babbar preet vihar g-131 delhi-110092mobile-9810083596

Exterior Looks good from a distance,but paint quality bad .all the door alingnment has gone ,i told them three times they tried but unsuccessful,gaps has increqsed between door n car body when the door is closed.even bootcover lid has the same story.has to shut the door with force.chips of paint has fallen here n there and got rusted.with in 8th month of buying.finishing at the corners of doors n each part is so ppor you can see wide gaps in each corner,rear n front bumper locks are loose now n i can see gap of 5mm .tata service centre says its rubber made lock n tend to loosen up after some time.but it wold be so fast i am surprised.when i bhougt it after reviewin many cars i was satisfied as the time passed by i started feeling tata is no good except price and space.no doubt service centre is good but it is of no value if your car doesnot work to your satisfaction.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Space-good,comfort -good,now come to plastic very bad ,nuts started to get loose only after 8000 km.plastic makes vibrations n noise even on slightly eneven road.makes my head dizzy.dash board has loosened up even before 3rd service.makes noise as if i am sittin in a CHAKDA.i am a smooth rider though.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Pick up ok after 2500 rpm ,engine sounds good[fiat engine],fuel economy 12km/ltr in city without ac n 13.5 to 14 km/ltr on highway with/without ac.i have been on 8 trips so far each more than 6oo km.each time fuel efficiency was checked , figure was same.they say after fuel change in 3rd service it will improve by 1 to 1.5 km on highway.but i doubt it let's see.gear box not smooyh at all i thought it will smothen out but it is still hard and 2nd to 3rd gear shift is too long.
Ride Quality & Handling Handling stiffer than all hyundai, n maruticars.or say chey toyota whatever you say.seems like power steering has halfpower .some times it feels nice as it gives feeling of grip.my car vibrates a lot at speed of 60.and again starts vibrating at 120.i got wheel balancing done three times but of no use.manager of telmos automobile says it not unusual for these cars.now what i am supposed to do?where to report now any suggestion.even my car doesnot have aux n pendrive socket.even THOUGH its jan 2010 LE model.TATA R U LISTENING?
Final Words IF WANT CLASS DONT BUY IT. ITS MY FIRST N LAST CAR OF TATA.
Areas of improvement ALL THE PROBLEMS I HAVE MENTIONED .TATA WHY TO MAKE HEAVY CARS IF PLASTIC CANT BEAR IT AND ALL THE CARS HAVE HIGH LEVEL OF NVH.EVEN TATA SAFARI.WHY YOU CANT SEE THE FINISH OF OTHER CRS IN MRKET ,GO N SEE THE FINISHING OF BEAT , SANTRO WHICH R AT THE SAME PRICE TAG.SEE THE LONGIVITY OF YOUR PARTS IN CAR.

I am not a car technical expert. This is review written after 4 months of purchase having done about 3500 kms from a layman user perspective.
Exterior The body shape is good, the looks from front and back are good but when it comes to finishing its rough, its uneven, the gaps between different parts are not similar and it looks likely yhat the paint is not going to last much (lets see).
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I have the high end model of diesel variant.The interiors are nothing to write home about. The plastic is not good quality. But then it has space - huge space. It has bluetooth connectivity between stereo and phone - amazing amazing feature to have. I feel they have not padded the seats enough on the place where thighs rest. I have often found myself tired after long drive because of this. I guess, somebody with shorter legs wouldn't find this problem.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox This sweeps it all. You have to drive it to be zapped. On Delhi roads on a signal or otherwise, its just a laughing matter to overtake any car, yes any car, when it comes to pik-up or speed. If I say it in Hindi - "gaadi bhaagti hai". The ad where the man is left open-mouthed after a test drive is actually true. Its just too good. Any other car (till the range of 20 lacs atleast) is literally no competition to this car. Fuel economy - well it started from 12 for the new car and has reached upto 16.5 as it becomes 4 mnths and 3500kms old. Gearbox is heavy and gears are some job to shift but should be ok when u get used to it.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride Quality is smooth. You will be amazed here also. SUspension looks decent - good enough for Indian road. TUrning radius is high. This is great negative as you just can't squeeze into tight places and have to do a lot of to and fro to park - looks very foolish when the parking attendant is waiting for you to park.
Final Words Any negative is taken care in big big way by the sheer pleasure of driving this beast. You will feel like you command sheer power.Having driven about 1.2 lacs kms I have never loved driving as much as I have loved driving this car. If somebody is looking for value of money - this car is it. Go for it. I got it for 5.7 lacs only (airbags, ABS).
Areas of improvement Finishing, finishing and finishing (exterior, interior whatever). Turning radius.
Pickup, mileage, value for money, bluetooth connectivity to phonelarge turning radius, finishing, steering not smooth

Exterior It's a good looking car with a better masculine looks than that of the earliet versions.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Great seating, can accomodate 5 people with amazing comfor with ample of head and leg room.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Engine Performance: Since the TATA's have collaborated with the FIAT for their sales and services, TATA got technology in return (my point of view), the VISTA emits the same madness of raw power as that of the Road King "PALIO".
Fuel Economy: Claimed to be the best, i do not know as i dont own one.
Gearbox: Smooth and effortless.
Ride Quality & Handling: Great feel of drive and the quality in terms of manovering has been great.
Also the overall weight of the car helps it to be very stable on the ground. Great ground clearance helps to avoid the hurt on chassis.
Final Words MAD CAR in race, Better dont mess with it...
Areas of improvement (Personal opinion) the Spped-o-Meter should be behind the steering wheel.

I purchased Indica Vista Diesel drive tech4 in October 2010, I traveled 2 times to Rajashthan by this car, in total I traveled around 16000 km in three months.
Interior of this car is not good , but comparing with other car it has good space , I got 19 kmpl average at highway and around 14 kmpl in city conditions , few problem which I face are :- Fuel gage was not working properly , company changed it twice now it is working properly, Car has Wheel alignment problem car pools to left at high speed and service center is not in position to fix the problem , Car skids when the brakes are applied at speed of 100 or above , Car gives an impression that we driving it very fast although the speed is not exceeding 100,Car had good pickup after third gear.
I also own Indigo CS I run it for around 60000 km in last two years and I know the service charges of Tata is very reasonable compare to Maruti.
So friends looking at the price (Rs5 lacs) and the good mileage, people who have good running per day like me may prefer this car.
Areas of improvement Quality of the Plastic used in Interior needs to be changed , Improvement in brake required , suspension problem must be solved.
good mileage 18-20 lpkm on highway and 13-15 in mumbai cityinterior is not good , suspension problem , it skids at high speed

Exterior Great looking design, Sedan style look.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Matching plastics and large interior space gives a feeling of riding a Sedan car. The Music system matches with the interior colours and gives a rich look. The dashboard at center is nice.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Drove 1300 kms so far in a month's time. Getting 15kmpl in Hyderabad city traffic and 18kmpl on highways with AC. Done with first servicing, hoping to see the improvement to 18kmpl atleast in the city traffic. The pickup is very good even on steep roads with 5 adults and 2 kids. Gearbox is feeling good after first servicing.
Ride Quality & Handling Very good suspension, won't feel any discomfort even for 4 hrs of continuous drive. The Lambar support on driver's seat is nice.
Final Words Great car with wonderful features compared to other cars in that segment.
Areas of improvement Boot Space can be improved similar to FIAT Punto Grande.
