I have taken test drive for Indica Vista.Let me tell you i have quite amazed by the Vehicle. I have talken Test drive for Indica Vista High End Model Aura.It's Driving quality is way up, you don't even feel that your sitting in a Tata car. I am writing this because i am currently driving Tata Indica, I had Maruti Esteem and when i was in South Africa for 1 yera i had drove GETZ and Aveo-(Indian name YUVA) for 1 year. i have the same feeling while driving this car . Also the Power which your experiencing is fabulous and Noice factor,You don't even get to know wheather car your driving is Diesel Version.
Thump Up to Tata for this fabulous Car and your going to enjoy this Over the Space in the car.

I think it's a Premium Hatchback car in the Price of Normal Hatchback segment cars. Style is awesome..,Good looking...most important it has excellant comfort as Indica....nd better looks compared to Indica...even interior is also is very good...also it is available in many options...u can have choice of interior as well exterior...More features are provided by TATA....car is specious...has excellant storage capacity...best fuel efficiancy car in this segemnt...also cost effective car...it's a complete family car ..as compared to SWIFT, i10....so everyone must think twice before buying anyother car...nd go for test drive.....just take a look of New Indica VISTA...

I have owned a Tata Indica V2 as my second car from 2002 onwards, first as a GLX (petrol) and after using it for 4 years, exchanged it for a DLX Turbo in 2006. Yes, earlier one had nagging minor teething problems that considerably reduced in the second car that is now 2.5 years old (and still under guarantee). I have had no reason to spend even a paise on maintenance other than regular servicing & fuel/oil, the car is immaclate in its performance.
Test drove the Vista (Aura CRDi) and what a difference! Performance and interiors like my Hyundai Viva 1.5 lt. CRDi that I owned earlier although not like my Hyundai Elantra 2.0 lt. CRDi (that is more than twice the price).
But for a car to cost 5.6L on the road in Mumbai, it is a steal! I am definately going to upgrade my DLX Turbo Indica to the Vista Aura 1.3 CRDi.

It took me a month or so to finalise my new car.
Searched lots of reviews on Carwale, Team BHP, overdrive :- in short did lots of research.
Took test drives of Ritz Lxi, Swift Lxi,Beat LS,Figo EXI,Vista Safire.
In the first place made my mind to go for a petrol car since I had running of not more than 1000 kms in a month, outlisted VDI, Duratorq and Quadrajet.
Budget was on top with nothing above 4.5 On Road. So had to choose amongst 5 named above.
Ritz and Swift - Name itself was enough, but was more inclined towards Swift. Thought too many swift's on road.. Will sound like a taxi one day. Ritz was ok.
Beat - was not so spacious, as I have a family of 5 adults.
Figo - same old fusion like look which took a beating in India, and a new engine - bit confusing.
Vista - All together a car to be. Many people said do not go for TATA petrol - no resale and blah, blah... but who cares about resale when I wanted to use a car for minimum 5-6 years.
Safire engine comes from Fiat family, so was sure about less maintenance and good FE.
My car is just 1 day old and still not registered with RTO.. I had to take according to the muhurat. Since in India, mostly cars do become a part of family so everything has to be perfect.
Can't say more about cons right now.. I am sure there would be some as every car does have.. B'coz I believe if God can't make every human perfect how can human make things perfect.
It costed me 4.15 On Road with 2 Yrs extended warranty..
Will update after 15-20 days of running..

Just completed with the 1st service at 1450 kms.. The FE is low but as per the service centre I have to bear it for 6 mths until the first oil change takes place.. The Wasan service centre is too good.. I have made a right choice in selecting the dealer.. My wiper got replaced due to a small problem, my complete locks of the car got changed because the plastic near ignition key was broken.. Trust me it is a guarantee and not a warranty.. Coz I had to pay only Rs.75/- for my first service..

A spacious and comfortable hatch in its segment. With Quadrajet engine offers a peppy performance. When compared to Swift where in the front seats only are comfortable Vista scores 'distinction' in rear seat space.
The only car with Gas Shock absorbers that has a ride quality comparable to Skoda Fabia. No rattling issues like swift ( my Swift Vdi started rattling 1500 kms onwards, still couldn be stopped).
The retuned ECU offers excellent driveability , could start the car from stand still at 3rd gear. 40-100 Kmph in 4th gear taking only 14 seconds, Vista is a boss in highways.
Recently i happened to fit the Dragon Digital Tuning Performance Kit to the Vista Quadrajet. It gives an improvement of 25% in torque and max output bhp. With the Tuning Box fitted the baby Vista became a monster. The roll-on acceleration was mind blowing and overtaking was never an easy job with any other cars i have driven.
The Max Power is now 92 Bhp and max torque generated by Vista is 22.2 Kgm @ 1750 rpm .

Took a test drive of the Indica Vista top-end diesel variant, yesterday (22-Feb-09). Here are my views:
Interiors:
- Over the previous Indica this is a great improvement. Bright interiors make it feel big.
- Dash plastic quality is much better
- Top end variant has only fabric seats. A good idea would be to go in for Art leather seats
- Integrated music system looks neat. Nippon brand. Music quality is decent.
Design (Interiors)
- Finally there is place for a bottle holder!!
- Unlike the older Indica/Indigo, one can keep some stuff on the dash without worrying that it would
slide out of the window
- Display meter is very neat and easy to see
- Temp Gauge is digital with bar display (like the battery meter in a mobile)
- The bonnet-end is still not visible!! I guess it is same with all cars of this ilk
- Power window switch is available on the door's itself and are neat.
- Below front-passenger seat there is place to store regulat water-bottles
Comfort (Interiors)
- The seats are very comfortable (including the rear seats)
- Driver & passenger seat has height adjustment which a great boon
- The gear stick is not a gear stick but a joy stick!! Changing gears is a big leap when compared
with older Indica's & Indigo's - gear stick is easy to reach
- Cabin Space has always been Indica's forte and continues to be in the Vista too
- Noise intrusion (NHV) is drastically reduced. Engine itself is less noisy
- 5 adults could comfortably sit
Exteriors (Looks)
- Needless to say the exterior is very pleasing
- Twin headlamps to start with are very attractive
- Turn indicators on the A pillar are attractive
- Car stance is high and looks good
- Rear wiper is big to clean bigger glass area
- Door handles are very neat and gel neatly with the car body
- ORVM's are big enough to comfortably see the world following!! They don't fold in completely though.
Performance
- A great leap. With 75bhp, 7-8 more than older Indica/Indigo, this is more powerful
- What takes the cake is the way Torque is made available. 3rd gear acceleration is just amazing, even while climbing inclines. Car simply refuses to be bogged down in any gear
- Top speed to be around 165kmph
- Expected fuel economy (14/15kmpl-city, 18/19kmpl-highway)
Ride & Handling
- Again an area where there has been tremendous improvement.
- The suspensions are much better tuned. I rode the vehicle over decently bad roads and we could not
hear the suspension working. The car held it's balance well.
- Tubeless tyres were provided which was good with road grip
- Braking was decent
Advantages
- The car is longer & taller (almost like the Olympic motto!!) translating to more space
- More powerful with better torque delivery makes this car pleasure to drive
- Build of the car is solid. One feels secure inside the car
Areas of improvement
- ABS/Airbags could have been an option atleast
- Boot (luggage space should have been more). Looks like the car has been designed to take Swift head-on
- Front window glasses did not appear as solid as older Indica/Indigo's. Appeared slimmer.
Comments: With an on-road price of 5.7 lacs in Agra for the top-end diesel variant, this is a car which is a definite winner!!

This one from tata is probably ther best product yet, in terms of quality and engineering. The name says Indica Vista, haere ends any comparison between its older sibling. Its an all new car, they should have named it simply "Vista".
The styling is good and complies with new trend in automotive design. Its quite a big car when you compare it with others in the parking lot, that tells when you get inside. The interiors are adequate. The striking feature though is the instrument pod moved to the center part of the dashboard. One might think its odd similar to Chevy Spark. But once used to it, it doesn't seems odd. Now the power window switches are in place when compared to the old Indica.
Now crank the engine to life, first we'll see about the TDI engine. Its the same engine used in old indica family with a Turbo for added boost, You'll taken by surprise by the refinement and NVH chareteristics. Slot the gear into 1st and let the car move. Shift up the gears. now the gear box has some feel in it. ratios have revised for better. With A/C the pick up is adequate with four well built adults.Though turbo lag was noticable,once past 1700 rpm one can feel the surge in power. Indica vista is not the car made for aggressive driving but for relaxed cruising. The suspension , probably the best in its segment, gives a superior ride. Downside is the handling. Aggresive cornering is better avoided, very much like hyundai verna in ride & handling. Mileage around 15+ in city and 19+ in highway makes it very easy on the pocket. For the price of a base swift petrol, one can get the middle level variant with a diesel engine, loads of space and equipment. That makes it the VFM product in this segment.
Now move to the star engine variant in the line-up. This the one with quadrajet engine, which essentially the famed 1.3 multijet of Fiat, found in maruti swift family and Fiat palio. Crank the engine to life, slot it to first and release the clutch without touching the throttle. you are in for a surprise, the car leaps like a sprinter. One can shift early as this engine produces its max torque at 1750 rpm, there is loads of torque from just above idle. This allows you to cruise in 45 kmph in top gear. Gear box is another gem. Its an fiat sourced gearbox with cable operation. So there is no vibration in the gear box. Though it may not be very slick like the swift, but has lot of feel and very positive. The top of the line quadrajet aqua is 15 to 20 grand costlier than the price of base swift diesel, which again makes this variant the best VFM package. Mileage is 16+ in city and 20+ in highway.
This is the best car in this segment and should win the competion hands down.

I have taken it (Indica Vista Quadrajet Aura) for long drives twice. First time from Bangalore to Udupi and back (1098.7Kms) (Odometer 202 to 1300), the second time from Bangalore to Bantwal and back (990Kms approx.) (Odometer 1450 to 2440). I got 22Km without Air Conditioner and 21Km with Air Conditioner in the first trip, and 23.9Km without Air Conditioner and 22.9Km with Air Conditioner in the second Trip. There was absolutely no fatigue in both the drives (first drive with 5 Minute breaks every 3 hours and second drive non-stop without break). Acceleration is good for suddenly overtaking vehicles at short opportunities). Braking is OK though not great.
Good Fuel Economy, Excellent pick-up & acceleration, Very spacious, best for long drives.Fit and finish needs improvement, particularly panel gaps.इक्सटीरियर/स्टाइल्स
