Look and Style The look of the Skoda Yeti is very unique and takes some getting used to. I bought a black Skoda Yeti ambiente and got delivery on Dec 12th. It looks very smart in black colour from the front and sides. The rear is slightly boxy , but very practical and actually gives a lot of space in the boot due to its straight rear. Also, with black colour the bumpers and the B-pillar blend in well with the theme (in other colours they stand out). The styling is very different from other SUVs/Sedans and the car is like Laura, but raised much higher and with 4x4 ability. Boot space is also decent and sufficient for most families - there is around 415 L below the parcel shelf and around 680 L, with the parcel shelf removed. Also, there is an option to reduce / increase the boot space by sliding the rear seats backwards/ forwards.
Comfort It is a compact SUV which will meet 99% of users requirements, even for off roading. It is especially good for the bad roads that we have in Gurgaon. The seating is very comfortable (leather seats all around) and good for long journeys. The view from the drivers seat is also good and also gives a good view of the end of the bonnet, and does not obstruct the view. The ride quality is also excellent and well tuned for bad Indian roads.
Pickup The engine is a 140 BHP, 320 NM torque variant, which has peak torque from 1750-2500 rpm, which makes it very easy to drive and also remarkably quick. Company claimed 0-100 is 9.9 seconds, but I feel that it can do it realistically in around 10.5, which is very fast for an SUV and even Sedans.
Mileage The 6 forward gears (+ 1 reverse) give it a good range on a tankful (60L). The current mileage which I am getting, after having driven 150 kms is around 17.8 km/l , which is in a mix of 60% highway and 40% city driving. Mileage is very good , considering that it is a very powerful engine.
Best Features Engine is very quiet (unlike many other Diesel Sedans/ SUVs) and very peppy. There is minimal turbolag and response is very good. Seating position for driver is ideal and gives a very good view. There is no body roll and ride quality is as good (if not better than) the best of sedans. Size of the car is perfect for cities, and one does not need to worry about parking space and maneuvering in traffic - it is extremely nimble.
Needs to improve Slight tendency to stall at low rpms - hopefully should improve after run-in period of 1000 kms.
Overall Experience Excellent car/SUV which meets the requirements for today's small family. If you don't need a 7 seater SUV, this is the perfect car/SUV. It is also perfect for today's congested cities and has a very small footprint and also saves the environment. This is one SUV that proves that even SUVs can be very efficient, modern and environment friendly.

It has a very classic look and not a flashy one. Compact and the bonnet from inside the car reminds you of a modified amby look.Not an eye cathing or showy look.

Comfortable for 4.5 healthy people. Black and beige interiors and the plastic quality is excellent.steering is leather strapped.

Very good pick up, great for overtaking on highways, steering is likebutter ( that is the best I liked in this car ) breaking is excellent...cannot describe the breaking powerwonderful,very stable till 145 kmph thenis 165... And comfortable till 195 max speed....
Ride Quality & Handling
Excellent.... What a vehicle... Just test drive and you will feel the difference. Good off road capability. I remember scraping the floor only once and that was a deep one...ground clearence is good.
Final Words
it is a class car with driving pleasure , stability and a great product. But the servicepoor poor ( you will have to go twice to the service centres to rectify the issue created by them during service....) spare parts are very expensive.....Service intervals is 15000km approx cost isaround 15,000 inr per service . Max I have payed due to some minor wear and tear parts was 32000inr. 60,000 and 90000km service was high if I remember it correctly. The only problem I faced in 2 years and 1 lac kis wafoam AC COMPLAINT... What was resolved under warranty.
IY YOU HAVE MONEY IN YOUR POCKET AND WANTS A COMPACT VEHICLE FOR CITY AND ALSO WANT HIGHWAY DRIVING PLEASURES GO FOR IT

Appointservice oriented dealers for service. Reduce the spare part prices. Reduce the price of the vehicle as it is highly priced.
Drivability is excellent, control, pick up , speed, overtaking, good city and highway carVery poor service centres, spare parts are expensive, AC issue.

Exterior Very stylish design. Impressive front and grill with fog lamps set in very well. Excellent Paint-job and finish.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Elegant looking interiors, the Boreal wood finish adds a lot of class to the entire look. Touch screen music system and the interface looks well designed. With 6 CD changer, SD card slot and Aux-in, the audio quality is top-notch. The feel and visual quality of the interiors is plush and of a superior quality. The car interiors really are impressive. The Yeti Elegance comes with a Dual Climatronic A/c which can have separate cooling temperatures of the driver and the co-driver. Outside Visibility is good and the car is fun to drive with very good legroom even at the rear.?Multi-Function Display gives some real handy information during the drive, like current fuel economy, average fuel economy, travel time, average speed, range with current fuel levels, speed warnings, temperature, current gear, recommended gear shift, etc?Front and Rear Parking sensors are precise. When the reverse gear is engaged a very stylish and nice graphical top view of the car is seen on the touch screen with indications of the approaching obstacle. Very impressive!?Steering controls give access to the Music system and the Multi-Function Display. Especially for a self-driven vehicle like mine its extremely handy and slick to have. Puddle lamps on both mirrors light up the ground wen the car is unlocked or the doors are opened in dark/night. Rain sensing wipers sense the amount of rain falling and accordingly adjust the wiping speed/interval.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The 6F+1R speed gear box is good as well. The Yeti demands correct gear shifts for a smooth drive. The turbo charged CRDI engine is an engineering marvel. The Skoda Engineers have done a brilliant job with respect to the engine. The Turbo kicks in very smoothly and offers an amazing pickup. The Yeti is an intelligent car. The Computer controls everything and also the turbo(especially in the first gear) depending on the ascend, etc. The Yeti is a Automatic 4x4 which depending on the road/terrain conditions gives power to All or 2 wheels.
Ride Quality & Handling: Brilliant handling especially at hi-speeds, negligible body roll/over-steer. Have driven to and fro between Mumbai and Mangalore by NH17...the yeti was a treat to drive on this Highway... doesn't leave the grip of the road and feels extremely sturdy and well grip even at extreme hi-speeds. The Cabin is very well noise insulated. The car feels so stable that co-passengers when asked to guess the speed, end up guessing almost half of the actual speed.?Suspension is a lil stiff at times until the car is fully loaded, But thats designed so, keeping the Off-roading capabilities of the car. ?Off-roading capabilities of the yeti as far as my small experiences are concerned are pretty impressive. The computer controls all the moves as per terrain conditions when in the Off-road mode and the also the brakes when driving down an off-road slope...all one has to do is steer the vehicle. The computer does the job of stabilizing and holding the vehicle.!!?Well like most say It cant be termed as a full-fledge SUV since it is designed as a cross-over, a soft-roader or a mini-SUV what ever one would want to term it. According to me a cross-over suits the city conditions the best especially if the vehicle is self driven.
safety features The Elegance comes with 6 Air-bags and also a switch which allows the driver to switch the passenger airbags 'Off' for times if the vehicle is driven by him alone.?Electronic Brake distribution, ABS, Traction control system, Brake-assist, Hill-hold, Hill assist and whole lot of stabilizations are available. The build quality and sturdiness of the car is as per skoda standards! tough and top-notch!
Final Words Simply Amazing!! I am extremely happy and satisfied with the Yeti. However this is my first Skoda and I have heard unpleasant experiences of people with respect to Skoda Service. Hope the service improves in the future with such impressive products being launched.

I have bought a yeti elegance and I do agree that the car is good but the people associated with it - especially the dealer is good for nothing. They only know to take money but on service level they are zero. I had a very bad experience with JMD Auto, Sanpada. Onevery step of purchasing a yeti, they created one or the other problem. And the worst thing is that I paid an octroi of Rs.65,320/= and they lost the original receipt of the octroi payment. After all this, they didn't even feel that it is their duty to provide me with a duplicate copy of the receipt. I felt that people should know about this - that we purchase such an expensive car but as per its price you cannot expect the services from the people associated with it. I have read a review which says their maint. service is also not good - Now I am worried about my car. Anyways, even I will see to it that I will never recommend a skoda product to anyone because it is better they make a better choice. Its a hightime for the company to look into the matter and still if they take things lightly then MAY GOD HELP THEM. I even placed a complaint with skoda Auto Ind. Pvt. Ltd. but till today no positive approach from them.
Overall I like it so I bought itCar is good but dealer n staff not good, work procedure not good. Its a waste of maney.

Exterior Bold and Beautiful. The exteriors could be more aerodynamic though.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Thoughtful and Innovative. All the required features are there on this vehicle as is expected from a Skoda. Though the Ambient would suffce the general population, but it is the Elegance tha is best suited for the customer who want all the safety feature in their vehicle.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Very good, owing to tried, trusted & reliable engine from Laura.
Ride Quality & Handling Very good, as you would expect from a Skoda. Ride is though a bit on the softer side. The steering is crisp and sure. And quality, no doubt is top notch, as we have come to expect of a Skoda.
Final Words A good small SUV. If you are looking for a quality assured SUV, then this is The best SUV your money can buy in this price range.
Areas of improvement Ground clearance could be improved for an SUV to minimum of 200mm. The rear is a flat back. You could have a more rounded aerodynamic shape at rear.

Exterior Overall it has good looks, the sides have no real road presence of SUV, however the front does look large. Front looks are the best. Corner lights are a treat to drive at night.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Sleek dash, comfortably accomodated 4 adults, 4 large suitcases and two small suitcases. I dont know where and how they managed the interior space, because it has a large bonnet and the smallest overall size for an SUV(4222 mm length). But an excellent job of managing size. We also drove fully packed with 2 kids in the boot - they in particular loved their special "space". The Dual zone AC is great for those particular about temperature comfort - I like it slightly warm. Good head clearance, shoulder space(3 large-sized friends could fit in rear seat) and leg room. My wife liked the fact that she (front passenger) too could have the same seat adjustments as me(driver) - height, front-back and lumbar. The varioflex system is a boon, though I hav not needed to remove any seat as yet. The Bolero sound system matches the Blaupunkt which I had in my older car.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Done a little under 4000km so far, no real long distance yet. However the short trips to office 20 km one way is a real joy. The car handles very well in traffic and out of it. Pickup (10 secs 0-100) is phenominal for a 2.0 lit diesel, Fuel economy drops in traffic to 12kmpl however it jumps to 17 in a mix of both. Did a round trip 40km to CST early morning with no signals and got an average of 21.5kmpl on indicator. I am looking forward to a trip (Mumbai to Goa) to see the fuel eco. and the feel of long distance. Gearbox movements are fast, short, smooth and slick. Can move the stick with one or two fingers by keeping the hand fixed.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is awesome. It has great ability to take slopes (have done many times at Mount Mary Bandra, and I could take the steep slope very comfortably without loosing power nor at very high rpm). Curves are again no big deal, yet to test the Yeti in the rains, but with all the ABS, and traction control it should be a boon. What turned me on in my first presentation on the Yeti was its lowest turning radius of 5m. Yes time and again (almost daily) I find this one feature the most joyful when I have to do sharp U-turns without having to reverse. In most cases there would be no chance because an autorickshaw would be inches behind my rear in no time or trying to squeeze from one side.
Final Words Why the Yeti works for me is that I get all the features of a car - its safety, size, handling, top speed of 190, pickup, fuel effeciency, turning radius and yet a rough road package which comes useful even in Mumabi. Or call it a perfect city SUV, Not to forget the Euro NCAP 5 star rating on safety, Skoda build quality.
Areas of improvement Seats could have a layer of soft foam underleather for rich soft touch.
Excellent fuel economy, Top class Safety, Awesome ride, pickup and handling, lowest turning radiussize for price.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I believe the features provided all are VFM as there are some features which i dont get in +5lakh Bracket too. again its SKODA obessedwith quality.. superior quality and finish.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Most impessive in the segment or this bracket,, amazing power. 0-100 in jus 11 sec and overall econoy of 15 with AC on again i believe superior in class. this is my first skoda car and i am now in love with D skodA. n is proud to be from skoda family.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality and handlig is equal but yeah because it being a 5 seeter SUV it gives superior comfort.i would not say best in class but yeah segment appropriate..!
Final Words is u are not sure that u want to go for 7 seater then I believe this is the best option and if u are extreame offroader then u must check its ground clearence.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Great. Gearbox is at a very comfortable position from hands as compared to ther SUVs. Fuel economy is good, Engine is same as of Laura.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is very good, you feel the luxury when sitting inside, It has ABS, EBD, ESR atc. as well as has Offroad ABS, EBD etc. features for 4 wd, grt...!!!
NOTE- It has Disc brakes in front and rear both as compared to Fortuner and Endevour which has disc brakes in front only.
Final Words Grt Car, dont compare with other SUVs as it is actually a crossover which is inbetween SUV and Sedan. Grt car at this price.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) It is a spacey car and not a MUV or a big SUV. strictly 5 seats. Feature full. Good material used.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Very very great, I drove about 600km on Highway & Hill tract during the Running in pereiod, it is very responsive. Great feel on transmission.
Ride Quality & Handling Pick up is amazing and commands very good ROAD RESPECT from Truckers and over speeders.
Final Words It is a great vehicle. Value for Money and commands a Road Respect.
Areas of improvement The USERS MANUEL is absolutely confusing. The features explained are for a Left Hand European Model. A very poor English Transalation easily comparable to a Chinese product manual. Show Room Salesman is under aware of each feature of the car and looks around for when the owner wants to know about it. Salesmen doesnot know about half of the feature available. Even after 20 days of buying I am yet find all the features and functioning of the of it inspite of visiting the Show room 5 times to find where the levers are in correspondance to the Manual. I am looking for some experienced drivers from Abroad who can explain me of each sensors and features to know when where and what? SKODA should atleast print a USER Manuel for Indian customers for Right hand drive vehicles in reasonably good English instead of a brainless transation from German.

Exterior Simple but solid, Front is different & invite lot of attraction.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) look small in size but has good interior space for leg room, head way & very comfortable but idealy for four passengers.Dual zone climatronic AC is good & very affective, touch screen music system with 8 speakers bring in good surround sound, with Air bags all over in side feels safe on highways, seating is commanding & comfortable. Luggage space is not much but sufficient.The parking sensors are really handy & very useful.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I have done 1200 Kms & economy of 13.15 KM per litre is what ihave managed driving mostly in city with AC, its not bad at all. Gear box is as smooth as silk. the steering is perfect.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride is smooth & comfortable on & off road very stable even on turnings at high speed has no body roll, Handling is excellent only draw back is in city driving u need frequent change of gears & mostly u have to run on lower gears else will stop.
Final Words All in all a great mini rather practical SUV with features of expensive SUV, ride quality & luxury of Car, practicality of a hatch & capabilities of Great SUV power 140 BHP torque 320 Nm with Haldex clutch, All wheels having disk brake, with capabilities of ABS, EBD, ASR hill decent control real time four wheel drive system. what else one would like to possess. Hence a very capable & enjoyable machine to own.
Areas of improvement Low end torque to be more comfy in city drive, bluetooth conectivity capability.
