Exterior Excellent look & will beat any car in its class but the paint does not retain the shine after couple of wiping. No rear parking camera or sensors in all models. Certainly one deserves for the price you have paid.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good leg room for four passengers, for the fifth passenger at the rear middle it is torture. Air-conditioning is superb, Audio is one of the best but no USB drive. Engine noise above 100kmph very prominent in diesel version.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Great pickup, with five passengers in, if one slows down and wants to accelerate it is possible without gear shift and engine knocking. Zero maintenance cost at least upto one year or 15000kms, Fuel economy is good with a/c on when compared to the size & weight of vehicle. Power steering is excellent, Gear shift is effortless.
Ride Quality & Handling Great riding comfort but very very poor ground clearance. Even in city driving one will feel the underside getting scrapped while crossing speed breakers. This is disappointing and feel ashamed for having bought this car. Head lighting is third class. I am sure most of us take a test drive only during the day and this aspect gets unnoticed. On Highways when it is pitch dark one has to be very careful as any vehicle without reflectors is a potential danger.
Final Words Over all you can take pride for having brought a RAPID but learn to drive with these deficiencies.

Exterior: Looks good and sleek. I though they had made tremendous improvement in their engine and others - but all the work has been gone on interiors also seemed like value for money
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort): Space is good, and initially it was comfortable - but the seat adjustment handles are poor and you cant adjust it easily. Centralized lock does not work well. Seat is uncomfortable we did not try all this during trial.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox: Fuelk eco is very poor - 7 - 8 per lts only. engine makes a funny and irritating huming noise. We felt it during trial also but the sales agent told us that it is because its a trial car - Jai Auto Ltd
Ride Quality & Handling: Not good at high speed, it rattles a lot over 90 - 100 kms / hour, cuts are smooth if you driving in City.

Don't buy - especailly the after sales service is very poor......they are not fixing the problem and take too much time in delivering back the car, especially they dont have any value for commitment

good response from engine,gear ratio is very good i like it ,no turbo lag,overall average 18 to 19 depends on situation as in city around 16 on highway surely get 21.

Is just excellent, Gives a rich look from front and side. Back look need improvements.
Body sheet need little reinforcement. Top sheets to be thickend or reinforced give a sound like Dubba.

Is OK, Driver seat need to be litte lifted up, Back seat is little less in width to creat leg room, Front leg room is good.
Ergonics need to be improved for driver seat. Left knee touches the corner of dash borad angled area. Key also touches right knee sometime.
There are sounds coming out badly fitted interiors while vehicle is taking turn or on bumpy road.
Sound is from dashborad, coverings of front door and transparent cover of instrument panel.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Fukle econoy is 15.5KMPL in city and 16.5 - 17 KMPL on highway at rated load and ac.
While driving smoothly on high speed at highway when you change gears there is a small jerk always. the poick upo is not smoot between gear shifts.
Specilay in my car there is thus (mechanical )sound cming up when ever you disegngae the gear.
Ride Quality & Handling
Pickup is good at gear 3, 4 but jerky start at gear 1.
Some ergonomics is wrong for long drive. They should learn from Hyundai.

I chose to puchse the car only for its GREAT, Styled Look, Power and the Brand

1. Body sheets need reinforcement and need to be toughend (better heat treatment). Better packing between sheet and interior required.
2. Driver Seat suitable for long drive and visibility of the road in front.
3. Workman ship of interior fittings to reduce cracking sound.
4. Some work Suspensions to minimise sound when passing over bumper.
5. Ground Cleance, atleast ud guard fittings.

Very good Solid, no-nonsense exterior just like its other siblings.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
Materials used inside, be it the chrome/plastics, they are of top-quality. The music system and the stock speakers rate more than expected. Except for a very minor screech-sound on the door pillars over a rough stretch of road, everything else is absolutely fine. Even this noise was corrected during the first service.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Diesel Engine is a gem. The car moves from 40kmph onwards with the 5th gear and just a small dab on the accelerator peddle is enough to get the car sprinting towards 100kmph mark without a gear down-shift. You do not feel a glimpse of the turbo-lag unlike the FordFIESTA/HyundaiVERNA. Moves from 0 - 140 Kmph like a breeze. After 120 Kmph, the engine sound becomes little audible, but definitely not an ugly noise. After all German/Europeans like their cars to make that noise!!! Be it 120kmph or 140 kmph or 160 kmph, the car just remains in control and the feedback from the steering is definitely the BEST!!! Low-speed driving in the city roads is very comfortable as well. All thanks to a very good low-end torque on the engine. A well erected road-hump can negotiated effortlessly on the 3rd gear itself!!!
Fuel Economy:
In the city with normal traffic conditions (continous movement) , I have got a mileage of around 14.5 - 16.5 Kmpl.
In very bad bumper-bumper traffic conditions, wherein you keep driving in the 1st or 2nd gear (with constant gear shifts) with a speed of 10-20 Kmph, I 've seen the mileage dropping to as low as 10/11/12 kmpl.
On the highways, if you are an economy driver who'd like to cruise at a constant speed varying between 80-100 kmph on the 5th gear, I bet you'll get a mileage exceeding 21 Kmpl. I've experimented myself and seen the mileage go beyond 23 kmpl.
Again, on the highways, if you prefer to cruise at speeds exceeding 120/130 kmph, you can expect a mileage between 16-18 depending on the frequqncy of gear-shifts.
Ride Quality & Handling
SKODA has always been known for its superior ride-quality & handling and this behavior was exactly the reason that made me lean towards this car. Prior to buying the RAPID, had test-driven the Fluidic Verna, Duster and the likes. I know its very hard for all the Hyundai Verna owners to come to the terms with the fact, but can't help it. Yes, Skoda RAPID is a clear winner in this aspect. The RAPID never goes out of control/behaves indecently at high speeds. As far as my experience with many other cars in the Indian Market is concerned, the RAPID has got an amazing steering. It just feels awesome!!!

I admit that this car does not have all the unwanted gizmos such as the in-built GPS, steering mounted audio controls, reverse-parking cam etc
But for someone, who cares to own a GOOD CAR considering the core-qualities of a car such as the ride-quality, handling, engine performance, top-quality interiors, solid-looking exteriors, JUST GO AHEAD with it!!! It is definitely a Value-for-Money car.
I have currently reached the 15,000 kms mark on my RAPID and got the servicing done, unlike the many other posts that i've seen/read about the SKODA's after-sales support, I got a very good service. The supervisor took enough care to fix all the minor complaints that I had reported and the SKODA was pro-active enough to give me a call to take a feedback of my service experience. Of course, I gave them a 5.
The delivery was made within a day's time. The only drwaback with the after-sales support is the low number of SKODA service centres available in any city.
With this review, I would like to state that I'm not a SKODA guy or a SKODA fan writing this review to support the brand. I just want anyone looking to buy a new car to have a good review from an owner himself. The normal crowd mentality is to go with a car (if you could not guess, I'm talking about the so-called FLUIDIC) that just boasts of a sporty look, but does not have enough under the hood to behave like one!!! So people, time to invest your money on a good buy!!!
Areas of improvement
1. Need to come up with few more authorized service centres.
2. To cheer and draw the crowd, the SKODA can think of including a few gizmos in the RAPID :D
3. I definitely would like to see the European RAPID released in the Indian market.

Exterior: nice styling, would be better if you added in a proximity sensor to open close the doors and the boot. The front looks like the Fabia. Needs to get redesigned. I know they need to maintain the Skoda looks, but then having the same look for such a long time gets boring. O
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort): the boot in this car is amazing, got it for my wife n kid and we manage to fit in the kids pram, and two suitcases into the boot. Has enough space to accommodate a 6 footer inside.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox: fuel economy is excellent, get around 800kms on a full tank within the city, yet to check it on a really long drive.
Ride Quality & Handling: needs a lot of improvement. Still get thrown around when going on bumps, not much improvement from a Vento. It still seems like it has been crossed from the polo. think the ride quality should improve on 16's will let you know when I change them in a year from now.

There is a slight lag till 1500rpm but after that you'll deserve an excellent throttle performance. And with mileage i got around 20-21 in highways and 17-18 in city . The gearbox is smooth and fits in position correctly.. . . . . . .

I purchased a skoda rapid white car in ambition plus vareity last year and it is a nice car
This is regarding poor service by skoda service centre in bangalore. Mine is a new skoda rapid while purchasing from vinayaka skoda they promised easy and affordable service for pay services. But it is really very high charges not worth for their pathetic service and delayed for 3 days to deliver the vehicle stating silly and stupid reasons. It will be better if they correct their loop holes in matter of service. Earlier I owned another car of similar reputation and really was happy with their timely freindly and affordable paid service. It was really appreciated.
Please see that it will be customer freindly service as promised during the purchase of the vehicle. Good vehicle should always be accompanied by good service. Hope this will be considered and revision of service charges are done.

I had been constantly getting a wobbling when i apply the brakes,this makes me feel totally unsafe while i reach 100km/hr.when i approched the service centre those guys are telling me change the entire brake disc,which cost around 9k.I really wonder how will a very less used car almost 15000km done will get its brake shoe worn out.
It has got a very less leg room in the driver seat which cant even accomodate a person of 5'9 in height.service is really horrible.They cost 2500 for just a small piece of wire which happened due to rat bite,it hardly took 10min to set it but they put the time as 2hrs for service and they have a special tariff for rat bite which is pre loaded in the service centres computer since it is a repeated complain in all ,models of skoda since a very long time which happens in my fabia too,but still not provided with any corrective measures in the new models too.The engine just roars omg....

Really excellent power but on a long run you will totally be unsatisfied on the product.

Not worth at all buying the Skoda Rapid, the rear suspension noise so bad as you feel the vehicle does not have any suspension. Not sure whether its a Skoda design.
Not enough expert Skoda Technicians to address these issues not sure how about in other places but I had bought the car in Hyderabad just few days back. I am chasing the Skoda Servicing Team in Hyderabad everyday, I have many proofs to prove this. Just test drive on any Sharp Speed breaker and you will hear the noise and the team is mentioning its not an abnormal at all, I never heard that kind of sound in any other car. Skoda after sales service is really wose.
If you want to live with the wiered sound of rear suspension and ready to deal with low expertise team who would not reach you on time but instead customer has to chase them to know the status of car, if you can manage both you can go ahead and buy.
Areas of improvement
Skoda seriously have to look into Suspension issues and need more expertise team to fix the issues.
