I have been driving this car for 16 months now and have found it reliable and sturdy. The disadvantages of this car is that it does have a problem on third gear at speeds reduced to twenty km and tends to stall. The pickup is phenomenal and leave the rest of the pack way behind.
I cannot understand though why the manufacturers insisted on using a stick-on label on either wing to identify the car as a Rider. if they had to identify it a small embossed shield or an indicative logo would have done the trick in a classier way. Also what is the logic of the name 'Rider'? It makes no sense. It may have been a better idea to make the doors easier to open from inside. they are heavy and feel as if one is opening a submarine hatch. Ladies particularly find it difficult to exit without help - which could be the intention.
A good touch would have been to use a lever instead of a turnwheel to recline the seat. It can be awkward to adjust the angle while seated at the wheel.
Finally servicing is a real problem. When needed one has to drive in and leave the car at the other end of town (Hyderabad) wait for six hours before they ask you to come and collect it. A pick up and drop would have been much better. This car is a driver's joy and is far better driven by the owner than an employee so it makes no sense to be forced to employ a driver just to drop it in for servicing and picking it up thereafter.
Overall its a fantastic car and great value for moneyFuel economy, styling, ride and airconditioningrear seat legroom, turnwheel operation for seat reclining, a lever would be better
