      Many issues that crop up - Timing Kit problem, battery problem, AC vent problem, glove box problem, ADR problem. All of which crop up after 50K. You are then left in the lurch. The service center tells you that you are out of warranty period and the same is not covered in the extended warranty either. For eg: You are expected to pay Rs 28000 and change the head lamp if the ADR has an issue. Day light robbery for poor components used by the manufacturer.

      Pros Driving this car is a sheer pleasure. It never misses to put a smile to your face. Car is always ready to race and act on your will. Interiors are plush and ambient lighting sets up mood. Simple clean design will turn heads for sure. Cons Car mechanics and electronic are quite complex, i am still not very confident of Skoda service guys if they can handle this piece of technology with utmost care and technically understand whats wrong.

      Exterior Very good and stylish with good parking sensors,headlight and camera.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Seat is good and sound system is good.Back seat comfort is average.Good ambient lights and sunroof. Best in class boot and material quality is good.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Powerful engine and accelaration is good.But came across gear box failures from many people.Fuel economy is average ( 8 to 12KM/l).

      Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is good.Handling is OK but car bottom hit many times in speed brakers.Not a good car for driving in bad roads.

      Final Words It is an un reliable car and can use maximum 4 years use.

      Car is suited for people living in major cities and drive in good road and who want the to use the car for maximum 4 years.

      No reasale value. Only suited for good roads as the ground clearence is not goos.

      Areas of improvement Reliability and after sales service. Spare part delivery time. Car maintanance cost is high after 4 years.

      best mid segment sports car available in India. It is technically a Raw power machine, can feel I aggressiveness when you get inside. refined engine that churns out 245 bhp. Please don't buy if your a money head , do buy if you are a petrol head.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Have found the maintenance very high, my car had frequent breakdowns of clutch and gear assembly. The company wasn't helpful at all and started blaming me. Even saw a client fighting for his engine ceased at Giriraj Motors after the workshop visit.

      Ride Quality & Handling Front being too heavy hits the road after you navigate a bump or speed breaker at more than 5 km per hr speed.

      Final Words Repenting now after buying it. Even the customer services are pathetic. I have always seen someone or the other fighting at the workshop at Gurgaon, Haryana. Mostly it is for bad services during servicing as problems crop up after the servicing has been done and the clients take the car home. For example in my own case while I gave the car for servicing the service engineer said the battery needs to be replaced. Despite my insistence he was bent upon replacing it. Somehow I talked to the manager and stopped him to do it. I got the battery charged at a mechanics shop outside the workshop. And surprisingly the same battery I have been using for the past more than a year without even failing once. 

      This clearly reflects on the workmanship, management and the highly unethical behavior of Skoda Octavia employees where they are either trying to fleece the clients or trying to make some incentives.

      Exterior Rear side of car doesnt value for money. Reamaing all, it is good. But the body should be more strong to avoid damages on the exterior. Fog lamp should be LED lights or XENON.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Space is amazing, Features given are good in class. Comfort is fine. But when you are driving for more than 200Km you need a ventilated heat or cold seater to avoid body burns for the driver.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox This is completely a driver based car. A good driver can make a mileage of 16.5KMPL in Petrol Engine at Highways and 14.3KMPL in City. Engine performance is very good comparing to other saloons.

      Ride Quality & Handling I have taken the vehicle at a speed of 210Kmph without feeling any difficulties. She is very good at Hairpins too. Three weeks before, we have went some forest depos and we were able to make a OFF ROAD driving without much difficulty. I was happy to tell you, if you know how to drive properly without using much brakes, you can use this vehicle very smoothly without frustrations.

      I usually drive in eco mode. and sometimes if the road is empty i ll go on sport mode and ll make 125-150kmph. 

      Final Words Don't push your brakes a lot everytime. Keep distance between vehicles. You are safe, and you vehicle will last for a long. Don't twist your steering while overtaking.. Go straight always. Octavia's steering wheel is highly responsive to the roads.

      SERVICE - Manikandan Skoda (Kochi) My First Service was done on last week at 13808KM. Oil Change was shown at 1200KM.

      First year cost of service was 10757INR which included Oil change, Key Battery change, Filter changes, Wheel Balancing, Wheel Alignment, Complete cleaning and with Rear Dicky Alignment.

      The cost was happened as I requested them to do certain services which was not in the Free Service. Done the service in less than one day.

      Areas of improvement  

      1. Exterior - Rear Side. Make it more sporty like Karoq or Kodiaq or Superb. Octavia's competitor is Jetta. It is having a better sporty rear look.

      2. Comfort - Ventilated seats for Driver. 

      3. AC knob button materials should be better

      4. Hydraulic Bonnet for front side

      5. Hydraulic Boot opening needed

      6. Electronic Hand brake needed. It will increase the space in that area.

      Overall The vehicle is good enough. But when comparing to AUDI, BMW, BENZ, JAGUAR or LR customers, you won't get that premium value. SKODA gives you a beginer PREMIUM VALUE. That should be changed.

      I own SKODA OCTAVIA L&K 1.8L TSI and I have used SKODA SUPERB 2.0L L&K TDI for one month too.

      Both vehicles are good enough in all means. I don't know what will happen after 30000 or 50000 KMs for these cars.

      From my experience, all vehicles after 50000KM, you will feel difficulties with its body parts. If your vehicle should live more safely, drive safely without much drifting, and brakings.

      Engine Performance is best.Rear Exterior look, non-ventilated driver and co driver seats, Electronic Brake button is not there.

      This car is the best performance car money can buy in today’s date ... beats the hell out of most cars on indian roads today ... the above reviews seems to be written by people who have never owned or rather never known what a vRS is all about ... Go test drive it to see it for yourself ... Also Huge mod potential for this car available both in the country and from abroad ... give it a stage 2 ecu treatment and it will give Mustang owner a run for its money in a straightline drag ..

      Hello Everyone, Buying Experience : Buying Experience was Good Enough. Riding Experience : The Ride Quality of the Car is unmatchable in its Segment though it comes with a heavy price tag!! Its Kinda a Butter on the Road. Details : The Looks of the car is Classic and the road presence is kinda Boss around(Lookwise i liked Civic more then Skoda But i prefered Engine more). The main thing i want to share is the engine performance, if you're a car enthusiasts and you like to drive with proper punch and handling then its the best option you got in the segment. As Soon As you dump the brakes and Hard on the accelerator it gives you the goosebumps. Hell of a Experience!! Service & Maintenance : So here comes main factor of avoiding skoda cars. German cars are always high on maintenance because of the quality of product they make. And thats main reason people avoid it. If the after maintenance and services are improved in our country then Skoda and VW are the best option for mid segment cars. Pros : Best Engine, Best GearBox, Excellent Quality, Almost Everything is Good About it! Cons : Prices and After Services!! Thank You Guys Hope it will be useful to you all.
