This is the first time in decades that the car is withthe Service center for 10 days and even after 10 days there is no surity of when it will be delivered .There were issues with software and creen but got resolved but one bump and the alignment got disturbed and service center was unable to find out for 4 days and even after more than 10 days ,I do not know when I will get my car back.I contacted Skoda Customer care also and requested them to ensure that I get my car back quickly but besides lip service,nothing seems to have been done.The Local Dealer did not have the parts and even after 10 days says they are waiting.This is the first time that visits -almost every day- have to be made to try and get the car back .I have had experiecnes of many other brands in last few decades but this is the worst experience. The car does not seem suited for rough Indian Roads. You can not affors to buy Octavia if you own onky one car.

Exterior
Classy, clean lines, black headlights, fog lights, drl's impress, sunroof and black roof, overall presents a car with a bold image. Rear end looks very similar to the Skoda Rapid except for the bumper reflectors.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
Again, feels premium & comfortable, loaded with almost everything that you desire in a D segment car. Although Skoda could have fitted a Sat Nav.
Controls are easy to use and to get accustomed to.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
The car never feels short of power, whenever you want. Overtaking is bliss and city driving is comfortable. NVH levels are good. At present it is giving around 13-14 kmpl in city driving conditions. The DSG gear box makes calculated and desired shifts as and when required. No paddle shifts.
Ride Quality & Handling
The car has a very strong presence on road and a very sturdy suspension. As if now, it has not touched a single speed breaker / hump.
Steering is light and responsive.
Final Words
Great Car with a slighly higher price tag. VW Jetta with similar specs costs a lakh less. But, when you look at ride quality & interiors, you wouldn't mind spending that extra money. It would have been great if it was named something else. Most people cannot imagine the cost and recall what the previous octavia used to cost.
Areas of improvement
A satellite navigation would have been great.
