18000 KM Review

Exterior Excellent, I have had the car for nearly 20 months now, I love the exterior look of the car even today.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very Spacious and funtional, for the price they could have added a few more features such as USB port, Steering controls or even leather seats as an option. The funny thing is that Skoda does not sell seat covers as OEM from their showrooms, which I found quite wierd.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Brilliant engine especially when you get open roads and also great to overtake. However i may add that the car does burn engine oil until the engine has clocked 20000 kms. I found it quite surprising but it is clearly mentioned in the car booklet and it hurts the pocket especially when the engine oil costs 1000 Rs. a litre.  

Ride Quality & Handling Excellent, have had no complaints till now.

Final Words I had written the review when i bought the car in July 2010. I am writing my second review. I am happy to say my dealership experience has been v good and have had no complaints so far. One more thing that has taken me by surprise is the fuel economy. The car in heavy traffic with Air con returns 10 KM/ L and on highways returns 14KM/L which to me is great for the size of this car.

Areas of improvement New versions can have more features in the interiors of the car and the side view mirrors need to have an option of folding automatically. This is a feature they should add as in traffic it is a must.
