Exterior It lacks posh appeal of Cruze,Jetta and Altis,mostly the awkward fronts and dated rear. Older 2005 Laura looks more posh.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors poor,good for bigger Superb,the newly launched Yeti and the face-lift of Fabia. The Ambient version has to learn from the Altis J D-4D,Cruze LT and Jetta Trend-Line Diesel.Even at Rs 17.56 lakh,no climate control,steering audio controls and no leather ulphostery. But,Space is the STRONGEST point,the 560-litres boot is suitable and the BETTER THING is COMFORT,as SKODA cars are QUITE ROOMY,like FABIA,SUPERB, YETI and this LUXURY,LAURA.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The TDi engine is punchy and has superb speed even if it has the 110 BHP of power(The smaller Verna Transform Diesel Matched.).But,6 kpl is poor and FE is poor. GEARSHIFT is NOTCHY.

 

Ride Quality & Handling Ride is choppy and gets jittery plus more and more uncomfortable,OTHERWISE handling is GOOD.

 

Final Words Don't Buy Skoda Laura. Offering of 17 lakh price,stiff ride and the features are less,no leather ulphostery,USB port,climate control and steering controls,and looks are poor. Can get AT Cruze or even the top-end Altis Diesel for 17 lakh.

 

Areas of improvement All things,mostly Price,FE and Looks.ALL CARS GET USB,LEATHER SEATS AND EVEN STEERING CONTROLS,THIS CAR HAS NOTHING.SMALLER CARS,NEW I10,FIGO AND GRANDE PUNTO,LINEA AND SX4 GET A LOT OF FEATURES.I10,FIGO AND THE FIAT LATTER BLUETOOTH,USB.LINEA AND SCX4 LEATHER SEATS. I HATE MY NEW LAURA CAR.
