Exterior Great European styling. Always felt Skoda styling was better than comparable VW models.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Elegant. Great sound system. The off white carpets/seats made of fabric/needlepunch material are dofficult to keep clean. Wish they had offered leather seats and darker coloured carpets. Front seats are comfortable. Back seats are OK.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox This is the USP of this car. Great torque. The turbo charger kicks in smoothly and swiftly - not much lag or jerk. Great fuel economy.
Ride Quality & Handling Handling is great. It is really a fun to drive along highways. Suspension can take potholes fairly well. Even after 20 months and almost 25,000 Kms, no rattles or rough rides.
Final Words Great car. Best Diesel option between Rs 10-20 lakhs. And if you are not stuck up with branding, I think it gives a run for the money to the entry level Mercs and BMWs.

14 km/l in city.. the gear shift is placed conveniently and very smooth. engine noise is very less in diesel too

ride quality is fantastic and would recommend a automatic transmission. doesnt let u down in any driving conditions.
Final Words
a good value for money. just pray nothing goes wrong with the car otherwise you wont see it for 1 to 20 days.
Areas of improvement
the service stations of skoda are pathetic. for warranty related issues they take anything from 15 days to a month. The A.C. gives alot of problems in summers and workshops attitude is pathetic especially at jai auto mathura road, they usually dont listen and dont do the complete work to satisfaction. the warranty given by skoda is bogus. the number of service stations should be increased.
nice rich feel, effortless drivinga.c is not made for indian summers, pretty cramped at the back... poor after sales service

Exterior No complaints about exterior, although they could have made it look more modern for the price you pay.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Front seats are great, good for a single driver car, music system in the elegance is very dated with the mere basic, not woth it for the price you pay. least they could offer is steering mounted controls..cheap of the company.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is the best part, loads of torque, rockets to 180 km/ph in no time. You can feel the power pushing you back into the seat. Fuel economy is a question mark. Company will give you all sorts of promises just to make a sale but reality is differrent. Your realtime average meter will say you are getting 18-24 but reality you are not getting more than 8...otherwise your tank will last for months if you drive average of 1500 kms a month. this is my personal experience and complaint. gearbox is just wonderfull.

Areas of improvement
1) ORVMs too small, there is a blind side on the right side ORVM where you cant see vehicles 10 ft behind and parallel to you, i have missed having accident at least 3-4 times. this is a priority.
2) The rear back rest is just too uncomfortable for a more than 17 lakh car ?? what the hell?? maruti has better rear bench,
3) Stiff ride qwality does not suit everybody, in mumbai you can feel every single small bump on the road, the car even jumps off track sometimes ???
4) Music system is like my granmother car..infact here was better. For the price you pay you get a very out dated and basic ssystem with no usb, or steering mounted controls..??? other competition at this cost is giving so much more.
5) The dealers are just ripping everyone off, i bought the car only becuase sales guy told me not more than 10-12,000 per year for service, part extra ofcource. But now skoda wants you to service car 2-3 times a year...get ready to pay 45,000 a year minimum for maintenance, whatever saving you thought you will get by buying a deisel car is out no longer valid. this is my biggets complaint,Dealers will take you for a ride and charge you a bomb because there a monopoly on parts. Thats why skoda cars have no resale value.
Since its a European car..its a highway performer (for 180 km/hr)back seat has stiff and upright back rest and poor lumbar support, less legroom,.इक्सटीरियर/स्टाइल्स

Final Words IF U R REALLY WORRIED ABT SERVICE THEN BETTER FIND ANOTHER CAR. ALBIET U HARDLY NEED THE CAR TO BE TAKEN TO THE SERVICE STATION. ABSOLUTELY NO SERVICE IN TWO TIER CITIES AS WELL.
MAKE AND MADE OF THE CAR IS EXCELLENT, NO ONE TO BEAT THIS HEAVY CAR. EXCELLENT INTERIOR QUALITY. MATERIALS USED ARE OF BEST STANDARDS. CITY DRIVE IS EXCELLENT AS TURNING RADIUS IS AWESOME CONSIDERING THE SIZE OF THE CAR.
THIS CAR REVS AS YOU ASK FOR IT WITH ITS TOP OF CLASS TORQUE. BIT NOISY ENGINE BUT U WONT FEEL IT INSIDE. ONLY NOTICEABLE WHILE STAND STILL. RATHER CALL IT VALUE FOR MONEY CAR. HOPEFULLY YOU WONT STOP IN THE MIDWAY OF UR DRIVE, TOE VAN WILL MAKE LOOT OUT OF IT.

Exterior Front looks are classic and elegant, Outdated Rear Looks.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Not much features to talk about a car costs more than 17lakhs. No USB,LEATHER SEATS,EVEN STEERING CONTROLS,Bluetooth,climate control..Interior is so basic that we feel shy at times getting lower segment cars. Very spacious interior and excellent leg room.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Had covered 4000kms in 45days,engine Performance is excellent as of now, getting an avg city-highway fuel economy of 12.5kmpl. Automatic gearbox is superb,best in the class to be said.
Ride Quality & Handling Handling on highways are pretty good,but in citys and rural areas feels a little uncomfortable cos of the stiff and heavy steering and not so soft suspension.
Final Words Excellent M/C with too basic features and poor service/dealer back up.
Areas of improvement Skoda is famous for their negative/bad service/dealer support history and that didnt changed till now, as I started feeling the pinch from this early days. Interior features have to improve to a very long extend.

Exterior High std aero dynamic with good look which can be improved. New Laura comes with sporty alloy wheel increased the look many fold.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) New laura in lowest model giving 7" touch screen and 6 CD changer with Bluetooth and steering MFD and audio control. Spacewise very comfortable and ideally suited with total size of body makes flexible use in daily life.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is study and outstanding. Fuel economy is great but one require control his own right pedal for aotu ver as rocket feel while pressing accelrator pedal is great drinks fuel also. Otherwise one can easily takes 17KPL.
Ride Quality & Handling Drinks all potholes and gives comfort Indian roads condition require to come up for talking full joy of ride as except NH other roads are not that good. For handling no comments.
Final Words In this range with careful selection of version it is a perfect deal.

Exterior I personally love the exterior. Only from rear it looks slightly bland otherwise aggressive styling.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) You dont get those creature comforts even the cars with half the price can deliver. Front seats are supremely comfortable. Rear seat leg room and comfort is just ok. The interior screams of superior build quality and feels plush.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Gem of an engine this side of 30 lacs. Can easily go past 200+. Gearshift is precise but have long throws.Turbo kicks in as early as 1800rpm. It has returned me an average of 11kmpl.
Ride Quality & Handling Get rid of the stock Goodyears and go for Michelin PS3 and you will feel the difference. Car handles really well though not as brilliant as the old jetta. Ride settles as speed increases.
Has great straightline stability. Steering feels direct but not as good as fiesta or jetta. Chasis has really good build quality and you can literally throw the car into corners.
Final Words Car that a True Car Lover Must Have.Skoda needs to improve its service though. Incidentally, in the recent past there has been some remarkable improvements in the after sales service.
Areas of improvement A larger, better compressor for aircon. Better after sales service.

Exterior Great presence with chiselled looks at the front. However the rear appears outdated. Little boxy. I wish the car looked more contemporary.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Excellent fit and finish. Way ahead of most Japanese cars in terms of quality of material provided. Felt lined interiors, compartments and boxes that close with a smooth thud. Spacious in the back. Boot is as big as a small apartment in Colaba.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Closest thing to a sports car. Can leave far more expensive cars red faced. Practically flat torque curve once it crosses 1800 rpm and keeps pulling upto 200kmph without a sweat. It can probably do upto 225 though I have never tried. Combines with great fuel efficiency. I generally get 10 kmpl in Hyd city. Silky smooth gear box which even a child would be able to operate.
Ride Quality & Handling Overall very good. Very refined and soft with 15" wheels. Even at full throttle the car does not convey a sense of speed, there is no sound of protest fron the engine ! This is the positive and negative aspect.
Final Words Very little can beat this if you are a driving enthusiast looking for good value for money. On the road, it can easily whip any car on this side of Rs30 Lakhs. A wolf in sheep's clothing. I'm waiting for the 200 bhp, 2.0 L version to arrive.
