      Exterior Great design and eyecatching appearance

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Super spacious front and rear, great boot area, Average plastics but limited storage slots and spaces

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Below average pertol engine. Too much engine whining noise for a petrol engine. Strange engine sound in first gear.Clutch plate wobbling sensation in first gear. Gear ratios tooo short in lower gears though mid range gears are great. After 80 kmph i felt the need for a 6th gear. Follow me home headlights which were promised are not included in this version. Have not driven a full tank full of mileage to calculate fuel efficiency but am quite sure she will not cross10/11km in the city. Suspension is good but with replaced michelin tyres improved the ride dramatically. Stupid of the company to cut minimal costs on tyres for sake of a comfortable ride and cabin noise. No alarm sensor in security system.

      Ride Quality & Handling Petrol RXL version fitted with horrible noisy JK tyres. Spent 12000 extra to replace  michlens which reduced the cabin niose and ride quality IMMENSELY. Spare wheel has no alloy wheel. Noisy cabin with engine and tyre noise is quite irritating.

      Final Words Nice effort by renault to produce a premium mid range sedan but as a customer for the price i feel the company has fallen way short of a buyers expectations . Average car overall but the few points mentioned above make me feel cheated. Horrible job by dealer to fit art leather seats and leather cover for steering. No leather gear knob job done either. No chrome front grill in stock. Have to return to the dealer again.

      Areas of improvement Dealer delivered car without mud flaps and car cover asking me to come back a week later even after colleccting the charges. No enthusiasm in the staff. Generally a Bad buying experience. No professionalism sorry to say.

      Wonderful car for long drive maximum space for every ages, unfortunately company close the model but the best thing is launch this type of car. We go for many times abroad for so many days it's over family member like.love it!

      Its really awesome experience riding quality is superb and u can easily drive at 160 speed and break control is really very good. Control in minimum time. Look is just fabulous and performance is awesome i get 22 avg on highway and 18 in city service center executive are cooperative and maintenance is little bit higher then other cars but comfert security and safety is the key point of the car and 1.6 ltr diesel engine is working like a booster for me and leg space and boot space is very good compare to other cars.

      Cons is need bottel holder at rear door and instead of air blower need ac blower at rear side.

      It is very good car. I don't know why company close production of this car Company recommend 21.6 kmpl for diesel version but I got 23.4 kmpl economy with greater than 100km/hr speed my route is very bad (road is mostly damaged). The space is very large as compare to all other cars except Nissan Sunny. Company should restart production according to customer demand.

      Exterior Good.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good don't attract with outer side break is main in a car that is life line that is a problem Please check.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox so so.

      Ride Quality & Handling Break is problem any time accident can take place that is manufacturing defet from ist day facing problem but no body will listen your complaint in company.

      Final Words so-so.

      Areas of improvement Break / consumer handling, Renault Scala and Pulse recalled to replace brake master cylinders, and just as expected, Renault has also announced a voluntary recall for the Scala and the Pulse over the same issue as Nissan Sunny and Micra.

      Quote: Given that the Scala and the Pulse are badge engineered siblings of the Sunny and the Micra respectively, it’s obvious that the problem will plague all the four cars alike.

      The recall program will cover the Scalas and Pulses that are manufactured between June 1, 2012 and March 15, 2013. Renault has built 2,836 Pulses and 4,180 Scalas in that period.

      Compfart and designBreak is the life line that is problamatic

      Exterior Exterior is very good. Shape of thecar is also good.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good & confort speace. Fearures are also good. One can feel relax after long drive.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Very good engine. Not checkd fuen economy but looks that it will match what comany is claiming.

      Ride Quality & Handling Very good perticularly when you are going for long drive.

      Final Words Love at first sight.

      Areas of improvement Dealers to be trained for Customer satisfaction. I purchased this car in aurangabd MH. I have arrange vehcile loan & balace cash payment in one day but unfortunately dealer was failed to give delivery on time ie at 3 pm. He was giving excuse about diwali holiday etc but at the same time just one day before he was assured me that he  will deliver the car by 3 pm. Atthe same to senior manager was not availabe to understand my problem. He was just sitting inside the cabin with no reason? After delivery also the service center techniciain was not aware about how to fit foot strip in the car  , he tried his best but lastly not suceed. Reverse sensor fitting tool was not available in the service center.  So ther is a SCOPE of IMPROVEMENT in this area.

      everything which is available in this CAR. The space is good , interior is too good, look is good etDealers awareness about Customer satisfaction?

      I buy it from my nearest showroom they provide me great offers my first ride is quite exciting as the car run so smooth and so spacious .look of a car is an average it is similar to Nissan Sunny . Service of car is too High Prons- Good in handling Spacious Comfortable Smooth Good for long drives Cons- Not fuel efficient Exterior look is average

      After going through the big list of sedans I finally narrowed down to Renault's new Scala since I always wanted to buy a Nissan Sunny, I already had a Figo so tool my own time and the wait paid off. Scala is obviously a better choice than Sunny if you dont mind those extra bucks that you pay for. Now coming back to the story of the sales experience with dump ducks like Khivraj, I went to the Anna Nagar dealership to enquire on sales details I was told that Insurance is free along with GPS and parking sensors. I went there in about a week holding a cheque to pay the advance - now they tell me that its only the insurance that is free and didnt even bother to apoligize for miscommunication, I stepped out and escalated it to Renault customer care and within a week they came to my door step to take the booking but again I have to live with just the Insurance free offer. I have to push for delivery on my sons BDay and they also agreed that I can take delivery directly from the RTO office, I went there and guess what - I was able to find 11 faults with the brand new vehicle, even basic things like Stepnee, mud flaps was missing along with minor scratches on the body. I spent my diwali and again went on escalation - again people came to my door step and picked up the vehicle for rectification. They delivered a dirtly vehicle back this afternoon because of which I writing this down. If you are in chennai please be aware that the dealership has no access to the vehicle after sales so how much ever you yell at them there is no use - so when you take delivery ensure you do a through check before you leave. I wanted to share the pain I am going through to everyone so that instead of breaking our heads with a bunch of jokers its better we play it safe before hand so never ever take delivery out the door even if a small amount of disattisfaction. Otherwise I love the Scala and its a pleasure to own it.

      Exterior Front grill is masculine. Side contours and rear curves in combination rear brake light cluster provides Scala a delicate upmarket look. A boot spoiler adds that extra lift to the rear hump by which car picks up extra style quotient and appreciative glances. Colour range is restrictive. If a canary yellow or leaf green is added to the colour range then the shade card becomes perfect and attracts a larger number of lady drivers. Renault must consider this suggestion. Turning indicator on the side mirrors, which is now a universal standard, must be added. Wheel cavity and arches are proportionate. Add crome bborder to the arches for the killer looks.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Rear seat confort is exceptional and without doubt the best in class. Seat angle can drop by another 2 degress for better argonomics. A 60:40 provision for RHS rear seat can be considered. Front space is adequate, but copassenger is more comfortable than the driver. Some automation to driver's seat adjustment must be incorporated. Instrument cluster is simple, smart and inteligently placed. Plastic is passable. Door knobs are crome and rugged. Pockets and niches in door cavities leaves lot of scope to improve. Biggest shortcoming is driver's LHS arm rest and USB port. Sound system effectiveness is below par due to high cabin noise.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Fan noise is abnormally high. Engine is also noisy across a wide range of rpm as compared to other Petrol cars of 1.5 litre capacity.  Petrol AT is giving 15+ kmpl consistently in Bombay stop-start traffic, a remarkable achievement for this class of sedan. Hunch is that engine oil consumption will be high. AT gear box is nautchy and gear shift is not the highlight of driving pleasure. Steering is leather clad with minimal finger controls (which is good since more controls distract). Road feedback to steering improves with speed. Gear knob is very plastic and the ball is too big for an elegant look and feel.

      Ride Quality & Handling Traction is good and smooth. Wheel base sits well on the road and grips it adequately. Car turns sharp edges well which is a big plus in tight parking slots. Suspension is stiff enough. Cabin picks up a lot of fan, engine and road noise. Extra padding is added to muffel it. At speed avove 80 kmph in-line driving is a question. Not safe on off-road and gravel surface driving. Driver's fatigue in long distance driving will build up due to absence of arm rest and cruise control.

      Final Words Good ar to own if your choice is Petrol AT.

      Areas of improvement Slightly overpriced for the features it offers. Else add 3-4 value giving features in the same price.

      Exterior rear side, back seat space, instrument cluster.High noise level inside cabin both from engine and road

      I purchased Scala. May be if u add R and rearrange it means Rascal. Truly this is. Four years. Five major breakdowns because of manufacturing defects and the customer complaint department from Renault is non-committal. Hopeless, their design is not adaptable to Indian road; air conditioner cooling coil has been replaced twice; bearings in the car have been found to be manufacturing defective; brake drums within six months have been found to be manufacturing defective AND there is still more. Dr. Sanjay, 9437XXXXXX, OD 02L XXXX.

      Renault is well known in Europe. BUT in India.the fact that Renaultr team had connected many times justifies that my vehicle had multiple failures.within four years, bearings, brake drums, air conditioner coils, caliper have been changed because of manufacturing faults. On your request I had taken my vehicle last week and the team has given a report that there is manufacturing defects in the vehicle. Please tell me why should anyone buy this product from Renault and what should I do with my vehicle.
