As alto stood inevitable for many years but what alto did not satisfy in terms style and grandeur. KWID stood as answer especially for aesthetic value. Classy is the ground clearance which most of its rivals didn't have but must for indian road conditions. What we expect Is a diesel version.

Engine is very small 3cy 999cc so there is no more pick up power i drove AMT more than 10000 KM in 45days and i had always problem with pickup so you can’t overtake on highways gear box you don’t know when it will change at all as there is no manual at all, while changing gear it makes particular noise and from 2nd to 3rd gear it makes most noise as I have taken this car all over India it works very well, performance is not at all good for highway you have to be very careful when you are over taking.
Ride is very comfortable and good, handling is not very good but yes it has very good turning radius on high way its good till 100KM/H after that you fell you are flying and steering wheel becomes very loose so you have to hold it tight other wise J It is very good car for city ride and with good fuel economical.

Exterior Stunning, looks like mini SUV . but Windsheild is BAD.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) POOR, even EXT version has low quality uphaustory and SEAT. not as per Industry Standard. Poor music system. Stupid navigator, no Speakers for Rear passengers. Reat seat belt is a safty issue for kids. idash board estorage is not good.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox 1.0 AMT verson not having power and pickup. 2nd gear change is lagging, its really bad experience when overtaking the trafic.
Ride Quality & Handling Steering is Good and smooth, good visiblility. They say AMT is high standard. My experience its poor quality dont have Parkning Gear..? Gear is controled Electronicaly which is very dangerous when there is battery issue in car.
Final Words EXT -1.0 AMT is not woth for money. .. may be Buyng and RXE and improve the interior and fittings caould have more worth for money.
Areas of improvement
1) AMT need Mechanical Gear Liever Not Elctronic Knob.
2) AMT need Parking Gear.
3) arleast EXE version needs attractive interior and good Music system.
4) VERY POOR NAVIGATION.
5) SEAT needs to be safety specified.
6) atleast RXE should have electric mirror adjustment.
7) important information like tyre pressure weight cacity info should displyed as per industry standard.

Inside, there is a lot of component sharing with a few bigger cars in Renault’s range and the result is a pretty compelling cabin featuring piano black trim with chrome inserts that look upmarket. But being a strict budget car, the equipment list is short but sweet.The side profile reveals the heavily flared wheel arches and a forward leaning stance. The windscreen sharply rakes towards the rear. There is plastic cladding at the base of the doors which are the colour of the wheel arches and basically serve the purpose of rub strips. The Kwid is powered by a 799cc three-cylinder unit that produces around 53bhp and 72Nm of torque. Power goes to the front wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox. There will be no diesel model, but a 1-litre model with higher power figures has been showcased at the Delhi Auto Expo and will arrive soon.
This 12-valve engine has been newly developed for the Kwid, keeping in mind the car’s lightweight nature. The Kwid, in fact, is the lightest car in its class and performs well both in terms of drivability and efficiency. In fact, Renault is claiming a class-leading fuel efficiency of 25.17kmpl for this vehicle.

Hi,
I have Purchased Car in June 2017 before GST and it get Registered on the same month.
Delivery has been made within 15 days with selected color.
The price of the car has been reduced after GST, Renault company has reimbursed the difference amount.
I am very happy with Renault. The performance of car is very good in the segment (800 CC) but we cannot compare the engine.
Performance with other higher CC Engine. Renault has excellent performance of the Music System even with only two speakers. The Navigation system seems not to be fully updated but shows exact positioning of the car on the road.
The ground clearance is good so driving over bad roads is not a problem. The car is really light and driving it in traffic isvery easy as it moves around very nicely. The media nav is excellent and the interior is good considering the cost. The luggage space is also very big.

It good looking car but not good in performence. We bought a new kwid Amt from jaipur in March, 2017, since the purchase car have some problem regarding auto gear system and automatically switch off the engine during running. Many time we face a terrible situation when the running vehicle went swich off and comes a big problem coz non working of power steering and break system.
Second issue your our car swich off mid in road and after then the amt dial not work and vehicle not able to move any direction. We raise this issue with Renault they call the vehicle in service center at Jaipur.
After Service, service manager tell us that car is now ok. But we have shoked when car's engine again switch off during enroute to home. We again call to service Centre told them about this but their response was not good. So i advise to buyers of kwid amt that think again before purchase.
