I Mr.Sayantan Chakraborty Premire Padmini Car because, I found nothing bad or dis satisfaction by or this car. Performance is superb , view from the driver seat is exellant , Style is unfogorttenable , Comfort is good . Only fuel economy is not staisfactory compare of nowdays cars . But overwall personally I get a lot from this car really never forget what I got .

i am a die hard fan of the Premier Padmini.
it has a very strong body and i feel very safe travelling in it on the Delhi roads.
it is an extremely elegant and graceful looking car--one of the very best lookers even today.
besides, it has a very spacious interior.
this car is, indeed, a Maharani Padmini amongst all the other Indian cars i see around me today.

Frankly, because of the avverage performance of petrol version of Premier Padmini, people seriously underestimated the diesel version, and refuses to listen to the enhancements Premier made to the diesel version in the last days! You can identify the version released in 1998 marked on its trunk as PREMIER Diesel.
Very good mileage; up to 20km/liter of diesel. Commendable pick up and torque on lower gears. Exceptional engine performance and response on BP's Hi Speed Diesel fuel. This is specified in the user manual. Comfortable bucket seats. Ample trunk space. Platform synchromesh 4 speed gears. Engine built for sustained operation. Top speed is only 100km/hr (nowadays all cars have a max-speed above 100km/hr). Premier stopped manufacturing this vehicle. Excellent handling at higher speeds. Universal joints on either ends of the shaft do not have openings to inject grease, unlike in other vehicles. But this may have a reason. Genuine spare parts (hardly available) are more durable than adjustable spares available nowadays. Body rusts along the edge if not cleaned properly.
If you have this car, attach a modern wheel cup for each tyre rim and crash guard on its front, which gives it a visual appeal.
What things have gone wrong with the car? Problem with oil seal after a long run, but tolerable. Engine is not that quiet, Sounds like a Jeep's engine ;-). Silencer-pipe's support bracket becomes loose periodically. Upholstery works are not that much great.

The one and only vehicle used by lots of lots of people during the days, when it was first released. Even out first President had the fiat car as his first car.
I am driving this car for more than the decade. I enjoy the driving pleasure. When i start driving the vehicle, everyone fears thinking " What the fiat car, going in that speed? " I usually drive it always around 60-80 kmph in city and around 120kmph on highways.
An excelllent vehicle in all perspective. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Exterior Look wise excellent. I love it. I hope that new cars should also have the same shape and size. So that we can retain the memory of Premier Padmini :).
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very good, but i always think that something should have been provided at leg space area.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Excellent. I have this car from last 20 yrs and still its average is 20Km/l.
Ride Quality & Handling You can drive it efficiently in a huge traffic without any tension. It seems very attractive while driving. You can enjoy its drive.
Final Words Eventhough its a old car, but its fan will never forget to love it. Its a real KOhinoor in Indian car market. I hope premier or any other company should produce such type of car again.

Exterior The styling of this car is good,the boys is stronger than other cars.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The front suspension is superb and the rear suspension is not that much good,the seats are very supportive(bucket and bench type),ac model is also advilable,for some who thinks that the instrument pannel is dated i consider them to choose the S1 version which has a more modern round like speedometer with a clock unlike the ordinary retangle type and the this version has also a front and back courtesy lights and many other features.some versions have fitted with tinted glasses,anti glare rear view mirror,anti threft device ect.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox 137D(diesel engine)-this diesel engine is superb it gives a fuel effiency of 20+kmpl,the gear change is also lesser,and cheap to maintain but the engine is a little bit noisy (but not irritative)
S1(petrol)-it has a nissan engine,it has vert less maintance compared to other cars and also powerful like 137D the grarshift of S1 is very smooth.
Dexule be,economy(petrol)-cheap to maintain,but a bit underpowered,the engine is silent smooth.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality and handling of padmini is excellant,the string is like power steering.
Final Words A CAR BUILT TO LAST FOR EVER.
Areas of improvement Some electricals like reverse lights,body edges gets rusty if not cleaned properly.
