Exterior Exterior is stylish, best in its class.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Auto AC, steering audio control & electrical adjustable mirrors makes the driver to feel comfortable & operate the features without movements.

Rear seat comfortable for 3 persons, leg room space is good. Rear fan helps to circulate cool air throught rear cab, gud low cost innovation but noise from the fan is quite high. Biege interior prone to dirt.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is amazing, 1.5L renault diesel engine already proved in logan fits perfectly & performs well in 4.4m lengthy caar. Max speed reached is 140 Kmph at 3500 rpm, overall vehicle pickup is better than fiesta, dzire & verna. Fuel economy 19.9 kmpl avg (both highway & city).

Good response in 3rd gear (can handle from 20Kmph to 80kmph), Gear shift & clutch operation is hard. Engine noise is quite high.

Ride Quality & Handling Ground control is poor, especially at high speed (due to less weight). Hope additional rear spoiler will give better control.

I should thank nissan for adding ABS as a basic feature in this model, which saved my life twice. I would not have gone for ABS model if it is optional. Noise from the brakes when applied at slopes is irritating.

Final Words NISSAN SUNNY XLD - Value for money.

Areas of improvement Should work on reducing the engine noise, smooth gear shifting.

Overall it is a nice car but there are few areas which needs improvement to make it a perfect car. I am not going to spend much time on what is good here but will talk straight on what could have been better.

Gear Box - This is big big minus of this car. This really needs improvement. Not easy to change and makes sound while changing. I guess even hatchbacks have better gear box

Boot cover - Sunny boasts of less weight but that clearly reflects when you open and close the boot. It is so light and fragile. They need to add some wight there

AC - It is not very effective, even as 22 sometime does not cool much in chennai but altis even at 25 shivers you

Exhaust it is so badly designed, makes the rear lower portion of the car always black. You got to have a exhaust finisher to keep it clean

Brakes are just not fine, it makes sound at slow speed in traffic and service center says it is normal. I assume this is a defect.

Other than this i think this is just a perfect car. Other nice to have things which can make it a premium one is :

Bigger tyre may be 16 from current 15

A changed back, may be a little chrome at the back will make more attractive

To avoid bumper scratches they could add something at both front and back. Scala did exactly that.

Even after all these problems i still think it is better value for money compared to Verna, Fiesta or Vento. You can even look at Scala  BTW, they have tried fixing some of the defects.

Nisan Sunny is not a car its a CAAAAAAR.

Today(18oct 2012) Nissan dealer delivered me Nissan sunny XL dci at 5.45 p.m.

I had driven about 75kms and kept at home on 7.30pm.

My feeling about the car on this day is:

1. Its big on space and great on mileage these are the two big factors play in favour of this big sedan car.

2. On the face of it the Sunny diesel may not be everyone's first choice when it com

e for mid size sedan. But this car really offer a great value for money.

3. The Sunny car is powered by Nissan's 1461cc, common-rail diesel engine. That has been given 85 bhp @ 3750 rpm of power and 200 Nm @ 2000 rpm of torque.

4. The 5 speed manual transmission is easy to use though the shifts are bit notchy but it is the way this engine deliver its power that it makes a great car in the city.

5. In the 3rd gear we can pull away as the low as 1200 rpm all the way to 4000 rpm which means we need a fuel gear changes.

6. According to ARAI Nissan Claimed the the Mileage 21.64 kmpl. But My

plenty of heavy footed driving i still managed over 18.5 kmpl in city conditions with the automatic climatic control full time.

7. This car is not about fuel economy. Its also about space and Driving comfort as well as comfort for the rear seat members. Plenty of leg room in the rear seat.

8. The features are outstanding by Sunny delivers they are

Automatic climate control, Power folding mirrors, Two Airbags and Abs with Ebd, Music system has steering audio controls, Aux-in, But no Bluetooth, Rear comfort fan improves AC reach,Boot space is 490 liters, Front and Rear Head rests and arm rests, Rear arm rest with two cup folders, Fine vision meters, Multy information display.

9. In terms of handling The sunny isn't all that great as it lack steering feedback can feel. But the soft suspension gives a very very comfortable ride quality.

Exterior Quality Shape and lights are good.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Colour combination is good. Features like climate control is excellent.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Excellent engine and fuel economy.

Ride Quality & Handling Don't feel anything till 125 km/h speed (max speed i had tried).

Final Words Good option for buyers in this segment with attractive price. Sound quality is good. Feels like can drive for whole day. lack heavyness of sedan. I didn't faced any issue from dealers like mentioned in other reviews. my experience was quite comfortable and got the car as told by dealer and bank people. really enjoy when people say "it's not a car it's a caaaaaaar". Alloy wheels and electronically adjust mirror are additionally good features provided by Nissan.

Areas of improvement Can make more sapce out of dashboard. Basic stereo system provided. Can include more features like USB, bluetooth. add some more power to engine although this is also good.

Exterior The exterior look is not so catchy but at the same time not so bad. The wheels of the sunny looks small compared to the bulky body. Headlights looks aggressive and door handles and rich look to the vehicle.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The interior is the best part of the car and amount of cabin space available is uncomparable with anyother car of the same segment. The blower for the rear passengers is a plus. Felt quite uncomfortable to reach the horn.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is awesome at low speeds due to high torque but as you go faster the performance drops. Of course there is always a trade off between torque and top speed, which clearly noticed in this vehicle. The topspeed did not disappoint me as I was able to reach 140 Kms/hr easily but still few fast loving riders will be disappointed.

Ride Quality & Handling The steering is very handy and light. The suspensions are soft. The ground clearance is decent enough for most of the Indian roads. was't feeling confident about the brakes.

Final Words From my experience I believe that Sunny is the best family car around satisfying all basic needs such as high torque, More cabin space, very good comfort, hudge trunk and amazing milage of 21 Kms/ltr (approx). You can't go racing with one though but still its the more practical car for the family.

Areas of improvement The design could have been much more better at the rear. Headlights need a classic touch to improve the rich look of the car. Brakes need to be improved.

Exterior Looks good. stylish exterior. it gives a feeling of a highend car.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Features are good if compared to other cars of the same price range. ABS/Air Bags are good addition. Lacks in the music system's additional features like USB port & Bluetooth. Lack of extra space is felt while keeping misc items like CDs/coins etc. It is a comfortable sedan with lot of leg space and good lumber support.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is very good. The Diesal Engine just takes off with slightest of push on the accelerator paddle. I have done a long distance of about 500 kms. Could take to 160 KMPH - effortless. However at low speeds when your music system is not on, engine noise inside the cabin irks. Fuel economy is more than expected. 20 kmpl in the city & 21.5 during highway run. Gear shifting is ok.

Ride Quality & Handling Over all good. Very soft to drive. comfortable for the family. Handling is very good. This vehicle had come fitted with MRF tyres. I observed lot of tyre noise which I could feel inside the cabin. I changed the tyres to CEAT within 400 kms and the noise level vanished. After changing the tyres, I also experienced much better ride quality as this tyres are softer than the earlier ones. Company should consider comfort & noise level before selecting the tyre for this car.

Final Words After the SUV I owned before this car, friends were surprised as to how did I choose to shift back to a car, but I can tell you I am enjoying every bit of it. I had read some reviews where people were very dissatisfied with the after sales service. I am sure I will get a better after sales service here in Thane from Ritu Nissan. The first experience was very good. They have a pickup & drop facility in their service centre. My car was picked up from my house and dropped back the same day during the first free checkup after 1000 kms.

Areas of improvement Engine noise inside the cabin, Bluetooth & USB in the music system, foldable rear seats, additional fog lights can be provided at the same cost, reverse sensors to be provided as a part of OE fitment.

Areas of improvement Bottom touches speedbreakers with full load in Bangalore. Needs to improve the problem or may need to remove dirty, useless, unscientific speedbreakers on roads. Purchased an XL sunny model and driven in Bangaore city. Recently driven to Munnar(kerala), Kodaikanal and Ooty, Mudumalai national park(Tamilnadu), and back to Bangaore with four family members and loads of luggage for 1 week trip. Excellent drive to highest ghats in South India and the car has been fantastic to drive over the ghats. It was smooth like an aeroplane even on very rough roads in ghat section. Total drive was 1800 km during the trip and the car performed well, except for the notorious speed breakers in Bangalore city. SHAWAR NISSAN COMPANY  is giving very good services.

excellent priceing, styling ane features and great power for indian roads. Don't need any more powernothing bad in this car. many fellows commenting because of ignorance.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine response just slag powered less you feel when pickup required. Fuel economy is around 12 to km. gearbox is pain not smooth shifting spls rear gear have to try twice.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride is comfortable, road grip good.

Final Words Nissan has failed to maintain its brand value, service quality, customer service, parts quality in India. Pathetic post sales, I bought my sunny XV in oct, last year and from day one facing issues. In span of one year have visited workshop -Nath nissan 9 -10 times for some issue or other. Problems remain unresolved. Chronic problem of brakes, gear and clutch. Be aware of NAth Nissan technicians as they are not even aware where problem is. Tried reaching directly with Nissan customer care they just hang up the phone and don't even keep track of complaints. My review totally no to NIssan cars unless you know some one in Nissan workshop who are qualified to take job.
