Nissan has announced that it will increase prices across its entire range, including the Datsun models, with effect from January 2016. The hike is up to three per cent and has been attributed to rise in input costs.
Commenting on the price hike, Arun Malhotra, managing director, Nissan India said, “The price increase is to offset the rising input costs. The revision of prices will soften the negative impact and help the company stay competitive.”
Nissan joins a host of manufacturers across segments that have increased their prices across the range to offset rising input costs as well as weakening of the Rupee against the US dollar. However, to cash in on the end-of-the-year buying frenzy, Nissan is offering benefits worth Rs one lakh on the Terrano crossover.
