MG is all set to launch the new seven-seater Hector Plus SUV in India soon. It’s more than a Hector with an extra row of seats, here are two new things you should get excited about:

Starry Nights brought down to Earth

The MG Hector Plus has updated looks over the Hector five-seater. The fascia looks brand new thanks to new LED DRLs, redesigned headlamp cluster and bumper. The grille and DRLs do not get chrome surrounds, which ups the premium feel here. The new DRL design and new sweeping indicators integrated into the lower headlamp cluster add style and complement the macho look of the Hector Plus. The rear design has also been updated with new LED taillights and a new bumper. The SUV looks premium here thanks to a dual-exhaust design on the bumper and the new lights.

A major exciting update is the addition of an all-new paint scheme - Starry Blue Sky. The dark blue paint with sparkling finish invokes the awe-struck, happy feeling you get when watching a clear night sky. Add to that the muscular and premium design of the Hector Plus and you get a SUV which will be the centre of attention wherever you go.

Smart Swipe technology

The MG Hector Plus will continue the company’s tradition of pioneering first-in-class technologies with the introduction of a Smart Swipe tailgate functionality. The Hector five-seater was already offered with an automatic opening electric tailgate, the addition of the swipe function makes it even more convenient. Now there is no need to fumble for keys or physically touch the bootlid release button, especially when your hands are full (with shopping bags or a heavy item), just swipe your foot under the rear bumper and the bootlid opens automatically! Swipe again to close it after safely depositing the items in the cavernous boot, it’s that simple!
