Audi has launched the Q7 in Malaysia and has priced it at RM 589,900 (Rs 91.06 lakh) for the 3.0 TFSI Quattro. While the Q7’s substantial size stood out, this one is no less imposing. It sheds a substantial weight of 325kg and Audi claims it is more spacious thanks to better packaging.
The 3.0 TFSI’s supercharged V6 engine produces 333bhp and 440Nm of torque, accelerating this SUV from 0-100 in just 6.3 seconds and electronically limits the top speed to 250kmph, which is 1.6 seconds faster than its predecessor. A new eight-speed tiptronic transmission releases power to the quattro permanent AWD system and the gears can be shifted manually by the paddles or the lever.
The standard kit for Malaysia includes adaptive air suspension, LED headlamps and DRLs, 20-inch 10-spoke rims, heated and auto anti-glare wing mirrors, powered tailgate, park assist with surround view camera, four-zone auto air conditioner, electric front seats with four-way lumbar and memory for the driver and push button start. For infotainment, the Q7 gets MMI navigation plus with MMI touch, 8.3-inch rising central display, 3D map display, a touch sensitive panel with handwriting recognition and 10 GB flash memory for music. An S line package adds a sportier exterior styling, twin five-spoke wheels, S line seats, gear knob, steering wheel, door sills and black head lining for RM 13,000 (Rs 2.01 lakh) more.
Audi India will be launching the new Q7 before the end of 2015 and it will be powered by a 268bhp, 3.0-litre V6 turbo diesel engine.
