Mercedes-Benz India has opened a new facility in Coimbatore. Sundaram Motors Coimbatore, Mercedes-Benz’s new dealership is strategically located in the heart of the city on Mettupalayam Road. The facility has been set up within a period of twelve months and can display nine cars. The facility also has a Mercedes café, valet parking, accessories boutique and a driver’s lounge. It was inaugurated by Eberhard Kern, managing director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India in the presence of Sharath Vijayaraghavan, executive director, Sundaram Motors.
During the opening of the facility, Mercedes-Benz also launched the high performance E63 AMG in Coimbatore. The car was launched for the Indian market on July 25 for Rs 1.29 Crore (ex-showroom Delhi). It shares a basic design with the 2014 E-Class but has much more sportier overtones and obviously a much more powerful engine.
