The Mercedes-Benz AMG lineup has now expanded to 10 models with the launch of AMG GLC 43 Coupe at Rs 74.80 lakh (All India ex-showroom). The newly launched model distinguishes itself from the regular GLC with a coupe-styled SUV body and AMG performance bits.
Mechanically, this Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 Coupe is powered by a 3.0-litre, twin-turbo V6 petrol engine that produces 362bhp of power and 520Nm of torque. Power to the wheels is routed through an AMG spec 9G-Tronic transmission and 4MATIC AWD system. The engine as well the transmission system have been carried over from the AMG GLE 43 4MATIC Coupe. However, since the GLC 43 4MATIC Coupe is lighter, it is capable of sprinting from 0-100kmph in 4.9 seconds (0.8 seconds faster). The top speed has been electronically limited to 250kmph. The vehicle gets five driving modes - Eco, Comfort, Sport, Sport Plus and Individual.
The front gets a diamond radiator grille with chrome pins and a louvre in high-gloss black with insert in high-gloss chrome while the rear features a sharp spoiler lip and twin exhausts in chrome with a four-pipe look. The interior gets premium upholstery with AMG logo stitched in the head rests, red seat belts and embossed door sill plates.
The newly launched Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 Coupe will further deepen roots for the German automaker and widen options for performance car buyers in the country.
