Mahindra launches e2oPlus at Rs 5.46 lakh

Moving a step ahead in its all-electric car category, Mahindra has launched the new e2oPlus in the country at Rs 5.46 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi). The new four-door all electric e2oPlus hatchback offers more space, better charging capability and bigger range than the regular model. Mahindra is offering the new e2oPlus in three trims P4, P6 and the top-spec P8.

For freshness, Mahindra’s e20Plus comes with new front end and an upgraded rear section. Powered by a 3 phase AC Induction motor which generates 25bhp (19KW), the vehicle is capable of covering a distances of about 110kms to 140kms for the top-spec version. Owing to mechanical tweaks in the electric motor of the P8 trim, it is capable of attaining a top speed of 85kmph, while the other two models attain a top speed of 80kmph. Additionally, the top-spec version is capable of doing a 0-100kmph in about 9.5 seconds, while the base three versions take about 14.1 seconds.

When charged by a 16 Amp charger, the P2/P4/P6 takes about six hours, while on a 32 Amp charger it takes about 75 minutes. As for the top-spec P8 variant, it takes about nine hours to charge on a 16 Amp charger, while on a 32 Amp charger it takes about 90 minutes.
