Jaguar Land Rover is on an expansion drive to accommodate production of new models like the XF Sportbrake. The company plans to hire 1,100 people at its Castle Bromwich production facility in West Midlands, through a recruitment campaign. JLR has already added 8,000 jobs in last one year to take the total force to 20,000 across two design & engineering facilities and three manufacturing plants.
Tata owned luxury brand has come a long way in past four year under new ownership – from plans to cut staff and shutdown facilities in 2008 to adding new assembly lines, setting-up new plants, Chinese JV and possible new setups in India and South America.
Dr Ralf Speth, Jaguar Land Rover CEO, said, “The launch of our latest Jaguar models, including the new XF Sportbrake later this year, means it is a very exciting time for Jaguar. These new models will attract new customers to the brand as we look to expand our global reach and further enhance our position in the market.”
