The Fiat Avventura Abarth has been launched in India at Rs 9.95 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Based on the standard Fiat Avventura, this is the first performance-oriented crossover in the country.
The Abarth Avventura is powered by the 1.4-litre turbocharged T-Jet petrol engine producing 140bhp and 210Nm of torque, making it the most powerful crossover available in the mass market today. Fiat has lowered the ground clearance of the Abarth Avventura by 20mm and stiffened the suspension to provide handling. The other mechanical changes include disc brakes for all four wheels to give additional stopping force in sync with the extra power.
Cosmetically, the car looks different from the standard model, the paint scheme offers contrasting dual colour getup. There are decals and 16-inch alloy wheels to provide the sporty image. The interior has also been tweaked to offer the sporty experience and the seats with leather upholstery offer additional bolstering.
Fiat is developing the Avventura crossover in India and is available in choice of two colours – pearl white and exotic red.
