If you have been tracking a 40,000 euro (Rs 32.02 lakh) Ferrai F430 on eBay then this news might just save your money. A racket that manufactures fake Ferrari F430s and a few Aston Martins has been arrested by the cops in Spain.
The racket was allegedly building close to original replicas of sports cars made from fibre glass featuring detailed engine bays, and meticulously created resemblance to their original models. A total of 19 cars were seized and eight men arrested for obvious infringement of copyrights. Details of the donor car are unclear, but a Toyota engines spotted at the location suggests the car used may be the MR2, a popular choice among replica supercar manufacturers.
Considering the economic situation in Spain, this may also be an attempt by the Spanish to imitate the more successful Chinese business model.
