Gearing up for the festive season, American automaker Chevrolet is now selling the Enjoy MPV at a lucrative starting price of Rs 4.99 lakh. The revised pricing will definitely lure buyers who have been keen on driving home an MPV and only refrained from doing so due to high prices. Until now, only the Innova from Toyota and Maruti Suzuki’s Ertiga have been performing well in the segment and with the new festive offer, Chevrolet might stand a chance to gain some sales momentum in this category.
With the revision in variant prices, the maximum price drop is of Rs 1.94 lakh. The American automaker’s plans to introduce the new Spin as a replacement to the Enjoy, was shelved due to low demand for MPVs in India and the automaker continued to offer the Enjoy MPV for the Indian market. However, the Innova and the Ertiga have been the only exceptions to succeed in a segment where other automakers have been witnessing poor sales.
Chevrolet offers the Enjoy in petrol and diesel options in the country. The petrol version gets a 1.4-litre engine which generates 103bhp of power and 131Nm of torque. The diesel version gets a 1.3-litre engine which generates 76bhp of power and 188Nm of torque. Both the engines come mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
