James Bond 007 has driven the new Aston Martin DB10 in his latest film - Spectre. This car has been specially developed for the film and built in-house by Aston Martin's design and engineering teams. Upfront, the slender LED headlights give the fascia an intimidating look. The typical Aston-Martinish grille dominates the front and protrudes out from the front bumper.
The DB10’s body is made of carbon-fibre making the car a lightweight vehicle. They have been using the same skeleton since 2001—and the 2016 DB11 will also carry the previous car’s traits.
This model isn't just another production car from the British carmaker's stable. It is designed exclusively for James Bond in his latest film Spectre, and only 10 of them are built.
The two-door coupe has a sleek silhouette and come to think of it, it is undoubtedly the best part of the car. The large alloys with a sharp design add to the stylishness.
Knowing that the DB10 has been designed and produced especially and exclusively for the film, this DB10 has a longer wheelbase and tracks as wide as the Aston Martin One-77.
The DB10 is underpinned by a chassis based on a modified version of the VH Platform. This platform also underpins the Aston Martin's iconic sports car, the V8 Vantage.
With flashy digital and analog controls, the interior boasts of all equipment that one can think of in a ‘Bondmobile’. Ejector seat, machine guns, bulletproof screen and even a flame-thrower, it has got it all.
Under the hood of the DB10 is Aston Martin’s powerful 4.7-litre V8 mill. This unit pumps out 430bhp of power and comes mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.
This design of the DB10 is expected to be used as a basis for the next-gen DB11. The new DB11 grand tourer will borrows some of these styling cues from this sports car.
